    Fine job, great lesson. I used Jim Pankey's super simple arrangement to get the basics of the tune, then progressed to this. You guys are putting this stuff within reach. Thank-you.

    Nice dude. Getting that 4 finger D chord nailed down is the hardest part of this song in my opinion. Other than speed of course lol!

      @@MasonCroneMusic working on getting it up to speed now but that’ll take time. Got the rolls and everything down and can now play it without the tabs. Just practicing it a bit each day with a metronome pushing the speed a bit faster each day.

      Thanks! I think it's a pretty good banjo for the price. I've never tried a Goodtime, but judging by parts it seems like they'd be about the same as this one, as far as sound and playability goes.

    I appreciate this lesson, and thanks for talking through the tabs as you played. I did find one problem. In the second measure, you're doing a 2/4 slide, but the tab is marked as a 3/4 slide.

    I’m not complaining and I really do appreciate this gentleman for sharing his knowledge in how to play that song on the banjo, but for some reason, it doesn’t sound exactly like the rendition of the original on the Beverly hillbillies TV show theme.

    At the very beginning of

      I got an app called Guitar Tabs X and made them. Then I took a screenshot and put them in the right places in the video.

      This video probably took at least 6 hours to make when you take everything into account. I've been wanting to make more tutorials for awhile but I wanted to find a way to put in the tabs since I feel like that makes it a lot easier to follow and therefore I'd probably get more views and subs from it. I also want to make sure that people actually benefit from a video that took hours to make.

    Why can i not find a vide of the full lesson for this song. Everybody does the fast part. I want to learn the whole thing especially the part where they are singing " listen to the story of a man named jed " it slower and much different than the fast part
