Especially since he left a good winning situation in Phoenix just go back to Denver (back in the late 90s/early 2000s Denver was pretty much considered NBA Siberia).
I always felt the reason they didn't repeat was because they didn't go to Antonio McDyess enough. He was the best player on the pistons that year but he joined a championship team and it was like he didn't want to take anything from anyone. He was too nice.
@@chrisuncleahmad666 True that, he wouldn’t have to carry a huge offensive load if he stayed in phoenix and been less at risk for that devastating knee injury he had.
@Theterminato2013 fg percentage was a touch higher at 44 percent but that’s good point I never looked at that series being it was sweep. Cavaliers were a top ranked defence though. Duncan seemed to struggle with those top defensive teams.
Antonio broke his knee cap in one of his first preseason games with the Knicks. His career in New York basically ended before it began. th-cam.com/video/BC1oYX8yt0Y/w-d-xo.html
Dice's last playoff appearance was 1998. Imagine the 7 year postseason drought but he was poised, tested, and ready. His jump shot was my favorite.
He had hangtime on his jumper, it was a beautiful thing to watch.
@@mangrove Reinvent someone's game is such a sight. Just like Shaun Livingston, midrange game is a beauty.
Never should have left Phoenix

Dice was SO good. Injuries cut short what could've been a HOF career
Dude had a smooth game too like a Front court Paul George
This is classic. Thanks for sharing 👍🏾
Sheed cost us game 5, but Larry Brown cost us the series.
Mcdyess never should have left Phoenix for his 2nd Denver stint

Nuggs fan here. He's STILL one of my very favorite nuggets players
We have such a connection with Denver as a Pistons fan. Highest scoring game, Bison Dele, Jon Barry, Mcdyess, Chauncey, AI, Plumlee and Reggie
@@MrE51917Also KCP. And the GOAT himself, Scott Hastings.
Twice As Nice Antonio McDyess
Duncan’s worst finals series they got him down to 41 percent shooting. They couldn’t stop Ginobli though he should have won finals mvp.
@@Rumble225-qe7fy He was worse in the 2007 finals.

Cool !!
Didn’t do nun of this with the knicks
