i love now normalized speedrunning sim relationships has become, to the point that we are shocked that a sim doesn’t like their partner bringing up marriage right after their first kiss
I'm playing on normal life span and I get very in a hurry when they age up as young adults to find a partner and get some kits, because if you don't they will die before their grandkids turn into teenagers most of the time which is somehow sad...short lifespan would seriously dry me out xD

But somehow I got tired of that, because it is so exciting to get some new sim kids and see them growing up to adult sims and growing a personality. I played simsies not-so-berry-challenge and since than I prefer normal lifespan
I literally always try to get kids for the fear of getting a game over due to short lifespan killing my sims😃

I think we need Blue to end things with Rusty. I think Blue should adopt their first (maybe all) their kids and spend their life enjoying parenthood. I think the story should go that Blue adopts a child and falls in love with being a parent and decides they don't need a singular life partner to be happy they can be happy with their kids both human and plant.

@@k0giku Fair enough I would like it if Kayla did a non-traditional generation of non-biological family but I also get it's place in the legacy. To me the biology of the kids shouldn't matter as long as they are Blue's and I feel that Blue wouldn't care about the biological relation of them and their kids but I get the POV you're bringing forward.
@@EulogyPlagerism yeah i agree! Rusty has a kid too so Blue would end up as a step parent if they stayed with him. A blended family of step kids, adopted kids, and biological is still a family full of legacy heir options.

I think Rusty does like Blue, but it's Blue's fears that make things suuper awkward. Either get rid of the fear or succumb and remain single.
It is MCCC causing the cousin to have that many kids. I have mine set to like 25 in a household max and sometimes I see households with literally 20 cats in them
omg yes! i remember i was playing a longer than usual save and wanted to see what the npcs were up to. catrine lynx had so. many. cats. just her, and the rest of the household was all cats!

Blue should marry someone who’s favorite color is orange because on the color wheel blue and orange are complimentary colors, thus bringing out the best in each other.

Hear me out, what if we put the wishing well in Blue's garden and had them wish for a spouse and then a child.
The idea of the gardener sim gaining a family through the wishing well is really cute to me. ^-^
Let's get that Ace/Aro representation in Blue! It would be iconic and fit their story arc really well.
(Also if you want buological heirs, you can create a kid in cas and just kill/delete the parent. Or use relationships to set Blue as the parent to the child for an IVF/sperm donation feel)
I think that the new fear is probably causing the marriage talk interactions to fail. Maybe get rid of the fear (build up a high romance bar again) and try the interaction once more.
Though honestly, remember that Rusty is a single parent - he might be wary of marrying someone his kid hasn't met yet.

I wonder if the fears Blue has are causing the issue. They have a fear of failure and a fear of being cheated on. If those were resolved, I would guess things would go well with Rusty again.
I had a Sim react negatively to the marriage talk but later in the relationship he autonomously proposed (MC Command) so I think the negative reaction wasn't necessarily because he was against marriage but because it was too early in the relationship. Though I do think it would be fun for Blue to go around trying to find a partner based on their favorite color.
I’d love to see Blue be a single parent and maybe adopt. They don’t seem like the traditional type. Otherwise, maybe Rusty can be their partner without getting married bc he seems to like them but not marriage.

i've been binging this series for a couple of weeks now, and i got really confused when i got to the end of this ep and another episode didn't start - what a journey, what a delight, loved it

My experience with sim romance is sometimes it doesn't work out, the sims just aren't that compatible, but when you find a sim they are compatible with its magic.
I've seen the "meh vs magic" many times over the years, but in this current Not So Berry legacy I have examples galore (some I've probably commented before, apologies in advance), below for your reading pleasure if you are interested... bottom line let Rusty go and try again - maybe a little speed dating could be fun 😊? Good luck!
Gen 1: My heir got invited to a party, I turned my back for 30 seconds, and she's got a half full romance and friendship bars with some sim I'd never seen before. They had their issues but he loved her dearly.
Gen 3: I had a cute girl I wanted my heir Daisy to get with and while I was working on it she called up and asked if she should date someone else! I found another girl and by the end of their first date they were head over heels.
Gen 5: I had my sim strike up a conversation with Don Lothario on a lark (he's an immortal spellcaster in my save); they hit it off like wildfire. Never once did I see the non committal moodlet from either of them getting itchy feet (making them divorce was SO HARD 😥, but I got to remarry them so it all worked out in the end).
Gen 6: My sim Jasper and your sim Veronica from the HSY Let's Play. I put her and Allie both in my save with the intention of having my sim hit on/date Allie. Didn't even intend to befriend Veronica necessarily, just wanted her around because I thought she was cute. Allie sent them a flirty locker note then shot them down when they returned the gesture (that didn't end well for her, you don't get on Jasper's bad side). Then there's Veronica... Jasper struck up a conversation with her at lunch and that worked out amazingly. Legit one of my most favorite sim couples of all time (evil doesn't have to equal mean to everyone, Jasper is the best to those they deem worthy of their affection).
Can't wait for next episode!

My sims will literally be in the middle of woohoo or something and then it'll say fear of being cheated on bc they haven't been romantic enough lately. And I'm like THEY LITERALLY ARE RIGHT NOW. I thought it'd be fun for gameplay but man with my seriously in love sims it happens too often
Give Rusty another chance, but this time maybe don’t immediately talk about marriage… they could just live together or be co parents. Also my sim got ditched at that bar a couple times too so I’m starting to think maybe there’s a glitch with the lot or Strangerville.
MCCC household size is universal. I have no idea how autonomy is calculated, but out of all married couples, the Harjos are completely nuts for me. They have NINE kids by now on a save I started when High School Years came out. All the other couples have two new kids at most.
Some settings just don't synergize well with each other and are best left turned off. More than 8 sims in a single household is just simulation lag mayhem. If you're fine with waiting 6-8 seconds between assigning a task and them actually starting to do it, good. But then you also don't notice they are on fire until they are dead, so not so good after all.

I knew that Sims can die from emotions but for the first time it finally but unfortunately happened to my sim, I think it was because she had the high maintenance trait... Her boyfriend sweetheart glitched out when they aged up so they had a complicated relationship but they finally patched things up and they were supposed to get married the weekend, then I don't what he did but she got so angry that she died (I was shocked I'd never seen it before) then I pleaded with Grimm (99% chance on my game it works) well that didn't happen either, I was really devastated.

I like the family setup, but I actually kinda want to see Blue finally live on their own with their partner. Because of the ghost shenanigans the previous two gens feel like they've been around for ages, no offence but I'm kind of bored of them and I'd like to see newlyweds struggle 😌

I see a lot of comments saying that Blue wants to be single/romance isn't for them but I disagree. I think they do want the "fairy tale" for lack of a better phrase. Sadly in my opinion Rusty needs to go, I get the feeling that Blue is just a fling for him. Terry had the same bad luck with partners and then she found her knight in shining armor. :)

@@mrcloudiesbestfriend they have adopted in the past. Just the heir has always been biological. Also the family tree wouldn’t be disrupted. It would stay the same. They still classify as their baby.
It’s the “fear of being cheated on” it hammers the relationship. You either need a fear be gone potion from the rewards or “discuss fear of being cheated on” with rusty

Once, I took my sim to a bar and I made her interview 3 guys, and I chose one to be the father of her baby based on the answers. Maybe Blue could find love like that?

If Blue is a single parent and maybe realizes they're asexual or aromantic (since romance doesn't seem like something they're super into) that would be great for more representation of different sexual and romantic identities (and for single parent households)!

Yes, MC Command Center's settings for maximum household size is game wide. It counts for both played and non-played households. Careful not to set it too high with neighborhood stories and the MC Command Center enabled pregnancies and adoptions. I sometimes got households overrunning with babies and adopted pets. I normally limit the number of kids per sim to 3 and the same for pets. This helps some, but you still have to manage households and break them up once in a while if you have a long running save.
