I made a cat cafe last year. I decorated mine like a grandma's dream and made a club room for the local knitting club. It's probably one of my favourite builds.

I find it funny that every cat cafe in the Sims 4 (including the ones I've built for myself) seems super cutesy and fluffy, but real life cat cafes I've been to were either super eclectic or a trendy loft style 😂
Probably because people who want to go to one or have never been (or just want cozy things) are building them. Or else maybe this means what cat people want is not the building they're being provided lol.
The original cat cafes were japanese though, and those are way more on the cutesy side, so it's not unrealistic.
I would love to see that huge penthouse in San Myshuno renovated. It’s so big and I can’t do it to save my life lol

I agree that'd be awesome for a video and I'd love to see it! It gave me another idea too though... either use it for a build challenge and see what happens, like add random walls and platforms (which should be interesting with tall walls) and treat it like a shell challenge, use various randomizers like color, size, or simoleons per rooms, or build it up with nothing but gallery rooms that aren't just a replacement for that specific apartment lol. OR gut the entire apartment, move your Sim into the empty space, and do a rags to riches where you have to furnish it bit by bit however you decide to do it (stealing, dumpster diving, amassing money the usual way, starting a painting club.) Could even include a scenario with it if you wanted to get extra spicy.
Not saying you need any of that but I just thought it'd be cool if it was like a shell challenge because somehow those still end up good even when they're frustrating, it helps break people out of their typical habits and try new things, and that's where that lead as far as those two thoughts went since apartments aren't like regular lots. I think oddly enough starting out with an apartment for any of these challenges might make it harder though... I might try this out sometime if I get off my lazy butt and update the CC that Werewolves broke like my enormous amount of sliders lol. XD

You should do Sims 4 but every room is a different shape. So you put on a wheel square, triangle, rectangle, hexagon, etc and make the room the shape you land on
And she uses a random number generator or like a wheel spin.

7:00 If they're ever gonna do a Realm of Magic refresh, I really hope that accidentally (or purposely) turning sims into cats or dogs is a feature. I also still want to control them like they're normal sims but they're just... a cat or a dog. Imagine the chaos that would ensue.
We had my daughters birthday party at a cat cafe and the cats got in everything. They jumped on the table and tried to eat the cake while we sang happy birthday. They were sitting on presents and hiding in the bags. They were everywhere, so your cafe seems pretty accurate lol.

Haha yeah, I reckon that's why not all countries have cat cafés. I am 100% sure it would never get approved where I live (Scandinavia), simply due to food safety standards. I love cats and would love to try such a café, but a part of me also squirms a bit at animals jumping on tables where people eat, taking bites out of food etc.. Yeah that would for sure not be approved here lmao. And yet I'd like to try it at least once!

That's *literally* how that lot trait works, but I also wish they could've added *Allergic to Cats* , *Allergic to Dogs* and *Allergic fur* as traits in Cats and Dogs, seeing as there are people who indeed are allergic to either cats, dogs or fur in general, the *Allergic to fur* trait would mean you're allergic to both cats and dogs and fur in general

With the new expansion pack revolving around teenagers, this would be a perfect afterschool hangout spot. If boba shop becomes a new lot type, this would be a great lot to be a boba place.

I remember when we got our first cat café in my city (possible the whole country's first, I'm not sure) it was so popular they had to take reservations for like the first year or so
The one in my city has been open for at least 5 years and has only ever taken reservations.

We can't get cat cafés here :( They can't be approved because of food safety rules, it's deemed unsanitary to have animals up on tables etc where food is served. But I'd like to try one if I ever go to a country that has them!
Our local cat Cafe has had almost 800 cat adoptions! They pair up with several rescues in the area and find forever homes for strays and it's honestly the cutest thing. They also pair up with other small and local businesses like food trucks to support the community. Love supporting them!

Love this. I used to love going to my local cat cafe, but it was closed down due to covid. All the cats were adoptable and the coffee was really good too. With a reservation to hang out with the cats you'd also get free coffee or tea.
I’m allergic to cats but last year I visited a cat cafe with my friends for the first time and all the cats were so sweet and the food was delicious, it was definitely on my bucket list lol I love cats sm it’s so heartbreaking that I can’t own one 🥲
Perhaps a hairless cat? At least maybe you can continue visiting other people's cats and allergy medicate beforehand.
I’m allergic to cats and have owned them before. There is an adjustment for the first few weeks, but you get used to it and I guess, build up a tolerance of some kind? Well at least that’s what has happened with me.
@@misscoffeebeans It depends on how strong the reaction is. After all, food allergies can range from extremely stressful inconvenience to will-literally-kill-this-person if they're exposed for too long. I don't know how deadly animal or pollen allergies can get, maybe not at all, but it does vary I'm sure.
you could always consider getting allergy shots! its a huge pain at first because you have to get them so often, but they can really help. and depending on how severe your allergies are, you might be fine if you took an allergy medicine every day. i’m pretty allergic to cats, even though i have 3 of them, but when i take daily allergy medicine i don’t have any reaction
I find it stupid that they completely and utterly forgot the allergic traits, as in *Allergic to Cats* , *Allergic to Dogs* and *Allergic to fur* , the latter meaning you're allergic to both cats and dogs and fur in general

Honestly that’s such a good lot. Also, there is a wood flooring that ALMOST matches that I use.
I really want them to implement sims that have disabilities becaus e not everyone is able bodied and it's wrong to exclude those with disabilities, especially when disability is already so forgotten and discarded. I share this because I thought lilsimsie could use her platform for awareness possibly.

Something similar to the Cosmo story was actually a real game mechanic back in the original The Sims - Makin' Magic included a way to turn a pet into a human Sim, although I don't believe the opposite was possible.

re: stocking the pet vending machine - there's a mod that lets you own cafes and other lot types, so I believe if people play with this mod to own the cafe, maybe this way they can stock the machine? 🤔

My question is how you kind of combined the shows “Fairly OddParents,” “Being Human,” and “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” into one story line? Think about it. “Fairly OddParents” obviously included because of the names. “Being Human” because you’re talking about putting multiple different occult types under one roof as friends. And “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” because of Salem, who got transformed into a cat after dabbling in magic he shouldn’t have been dabbling in. Maybe I’m just drawing connections that aren’t actually there, but that is where my brain went.

URGENT YOU NEED TO GET TO A CAT CAFE ASAP. My boyfriend and I love it. We have 5 cats already so adding more isn’t an option. But getting to love cats that need to be adopted just makes my feel all warm and fuzzy. Our local one has an admission fee as well as a cafe separate from the cat room but the admission fee goes straight to the kitties who need to be adopted. It’s a win win I cuddle homeless kitties they get money.

We have a cat cafe here in Quebec City that is basically catering more towards zootherapy. (Café Félin Ma Langue Aux Chats) The owners are ex-military that opened the cafe and donate a part of the sales to help military dealing with PTSD. Best place I've ever been. You get a coffee (or tea), something to nosh on and beautiful cats to pet and play with. Highly recommend to anyone visiting our beautiful city.
