  • Almost one year in and after much experimenting and very ocassional non-carnivore meals, this video shows a typical day of eating for me these days.
    To hear more about my carnivore journey I've made a playlist here:

    Oh coinkydink! (Lisa here from Tiny House Festival Australia / I bought your vintage caravan mags) Darren and I are on the carnivore diet too!!! I began start of Jan, lost 5kg. Slowly but surely. Lots of health issues that I am dealing with. Darren joined me in Feb. His daughter (19) is now on it too. I love it. I don't get hungry at all, don't have to think about food or wonder what I need to eliminate etc. Too easy! Thumb nail you look great, jumped on before watching the video... now ill proceed...

      Gosh there's so many! Just search TH-cam for carnivore and there's a good explanation of how the body functions better with this way of eating in my carnivore playlist here: th-cam.com/play/PL5CVJrFYPkU4DDHzqLIslFqrOEAgayIPL.html&si=BuCGXop8XrqTfiHX

      Fantastic! Best of luck on it! Make sure you eat a lot more than I do these days to avoid those transition cravings! In the early days I stuffed my face! Let your body adapt and learn to run on its new fuel source and heal before focussing on weight loss… the body changes come dramatically and effortlessly after the healing! Keep me posted on how you go. 💪💗

    Hi Lisa! I saw your comment about SD on another video & im wondering if you figured out what helped it go away? I started carnivore diet 2 weeks ago & my scalp is itchy, has scabs, and is oozing where my head lays on the pillow. I’ve never had scalp issues before. Any tips would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

    • @lisawanderess
      @lisawanderess  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hiya, yep turns out it was oxalate dumping due to my excessively high oxalate consumption as a former vegan (turns out huge green smoothies with cacao powder and oat milk and seeds are NOT good for you! 😂)
      It kept happening periodically every 6 weeks or so for first 6 months but reduced in intensity each time and gradually stopped after a while. 15 months carnivore now and zero scalp issues anymore. Look up oxalate dumping… ride it out, it does get better! Let me know how you go! Good luck! ❤️

      @cm6037 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you so much for your help! I’m relieved to know it does get better. Lol those smoothies sound so good and it takes a while to process that all of those things aren’t actually good for us. I was never vegan but I did follow the GAPS diet for many years. I’m new to your channel so I haven’t watched your other videos yet. I’m wondering if you’re strict carnivore or if you allow some fruit?

    • @lisawanderess
      @lisawanderess  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @cm6037 You’re welcome! I’ve stuck to high fat meat, butter, eggs, seafood, occasional cheese, cream cheese and plain greek yoghurt but have only recently experimented by adding in sauerkraut and avocado now I know that I’m completely healed with no adverse effects but I steer clear of fruit or anything with sugar of any kind as it just triggers cravings as I’m a former sugar addict! Sticking to fermented dairy only as the cultures consume the lactose (sugar) so no milk either. I know some former carnivores like Lily Kane and Paul Saladino have added fruit but then they didn’t have autoimmune diseases either. I have had one wild apple and some blueberries once and one apricot and one strawberry picked fresh from the garden foraging style but that’s all in the past 15 months and have had no desire to make it a regular part of my diet. I’m happily fat adapted now so don’t want to confuse my metabolism by adding any sugar based fuel in my system. I’m going to do a carnivore update soon so stay tuned!

      That’s amazing, way to go! ❤️ That makes sense why you wouldn’t want to incorporate fruit then! I’ll stay tuned for your upcoming video, thank you!

    but isn't it bad not getting any fibers and vitamins?

    • @lisawanderess
      @lisawanderess  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Meat actually contains all the vitamins and minerals we need for good health and fibre is not necessary if consuming enough fats to lubricate the bowels. I did a lot of research into this before diving in and there’s lots of videos from people way more qualified than me explaining the intricacies of exactly how this works and how much of what we’ve been told about the supposed health benefits of a low fat, high fibre diet were completely wrong. A lot of the dietary advice pushed on us since the 70s was promoted by subsidized big food corporations to get us eating more grains and sugars. Deep dive into it if you’re interested… it’s fascinating!

    Joe Rogan got mercury poisoning from eating too much sardines

    • @lisawanderess
      @lisawanderess  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Actually it was arsenic not mercury he said he got from the sardines and that was from eating 3 cans a night! I only eat around 4 cans a week so pretty sure that's fine! 😂

    Keep eating the good things for your bone density (although the bone impacts of your jogging might help a lot alongside the sardine's bone and natural calcium). Glad that the carnivore diet keeps you well. Your body and mind knows what's best for you.

    Resistance exercise is best for improving bone density. Sprinting would be better than jogging as it produces much more force (compression).
