I did this solo on a whim from Allentown, PA to Mnt Mickinly via Fairbanks in 1989 with my 79 Mustang hatchback 302, 4sp that had over 250k miles on it. No support. Only carried extra wipers and essential tools. Took 5 days to reach Tok, AK (lost a day to the trans failing in BC). The entire Alcan hwy was dirt back then. Returned via Hanes, AK ferry to Prince Rupert Canada then drove straight through to the Bay area. Two days later drove 41 hours straight back to PA. Lots of exploring along the way in Alaska and the Yukon. All done in 3.5 weeks. Lost all 4 headlights and one wiper one night as a semi coming from the opposite direction peppered me with rocks in the Yukon. Got replacements in Tok, AK. It was an amazing trip. Wish there were cameras like today's back then. Hid under an overpass on I-80 in NE as a tornado roared over just after 8"s of hail had fallen. My first rest was Cheyenne, WY. Had to get a new trans in Dawson Creek, BC. Ford dealer had one in stock and had me back on the road the next day for $500. Limped over 150 miles and an mnt pass stuck in 3 gear to get to Dawson Creek. That car got lots of stares along the way. No flat tires and never ran out of gas. Often gas stations were spaced nearly at my cars range limit. Picked up one hitchhiker in the Yukon. The worse thing about the trip was the horrible 55 mph speed limit in those days. With all the roads being paved these days and way more populated areas, there's no need for all those extra parts. Start the trip with new brakes and a belt. If needed pick up the extra parts cheaper in Canada with the exchange rate. Camped and car camped the entire trip except for the last night in San Jose, CA. I really wanted to drive up to the arctic circle from Fairbanks but, the locals talked me out of it due to the permafrost and marsh-like conditions back then saying the Stang would get stuck quite easily. A/C? I rolled my windows down :-) Yes, rolled. No power windows or door locks. A cool sunroof was nice. I chuckle when they say the middle of nowhere in TX when your on an interstate Hwy and you have mobile phones and back up. Still, good to see others doing road trips like this. Trips like these are so much fun. Next time take an old Ford so not so many stops for repairs :-) Total mileage was 18k+ miles.
I know a guy who does that trip every summer with his wife in a pickup pulling a 15000lb 5th wheel. PA to AK around July/Aug. It's a different trip now with paved roads, rest stops, and pretty heavy traffic during the summer season. It's no longer the crazy trip it was when you did it but it's still an adventure.
Thanks... I wish I could remember everything from that trip. I drove that Mustang to all 49 continental states and all of Canada. Multiple cross-country trips. 278k miles worth. Just do a trip like it. Don't wait until you're too old to take full advantage of where you go. All you really need is a vehicle you're both comfortable and familair with. It doesn't have to be new.
@@HankeyMountainGarage They paired up nicely. Not a fast car by today's standards but, good back then. I also got 25 - 31 mpg on the hwy. I would coast in neutral on downhills. Serpentine belt service interval is 60-100K, brakes 20-60K depending on driving conditions. Since you're mostly doing highway miles, I doubt you'll wear out much of your brake pads. You're just doing a promo for advanced auto parts. Many of these things can be purchased anywhere. The only thing I'd make sure to have is AAA, a large tool kit, a spare tire, a tire repair kit, an air pump, fluids, and lots of alcohol. And also a reminder to myself, don't buy a Subaru or a Mitsubitshi and buy a Prius.
My thoughts exactly, for the most part the only stuff that goes wrong is crap you can’t just fix on the side of the road, I drove the coquihalla highway in BC, and my timing belt snapped on my 04 forester (and subsequently destroyed the engine), but nothing else went wrong
My buddy and I did a 3K road trip around the Pacific Northwest across 5-6 states on his crappy late 80's or early 90's Mitsubishi Montero. We just had to fill a quart of oil at every fill up. LOL.
I forgot to mention that he called me the night before and we left the next morning. I had to do all the last minute planning and we couldn't reserve tent sites because it was all booked up (Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Zion, Yellow Stone). Worst of all, we had to take a 6 hr detour to Yosemite because the west entrance was closed. It couldn't go over 80 MPH on an 80 MPH highway at WOT. I offered to take my Mini Cooper S but he wanted to take his POS gas guzzler while I get 34mpg on the highway with a 21 cu.ft. Yakima roof cargo carrier and his gets....10-13.
lol dude any car is reliable if you take care of it properly. If a vehicle is broken from the factory.....then warranty will take care of it. lol most people are broken.....but thats neither here or there lol both Evo's and Sti's are baddass vehicles. I've owned 2 Sti's 2008 and 2015 but I would love to have an Evo in my collection. Super dope rides!
Lol, not a single subaru is reliable. I work for Subaru and every one knows how shitty their engines are. Mitsubishi is just pure badass and reliable as hell! I have owned both and will take Mitsubishi every day of the week. Also warramties are good and all but if a car is going back in within 1000 miles for a new motor than something is severely wrong with it cough cough SUBARU!
funny thing is. its a good chance the person behind did have Brembos, as they are the oem supplier for GM, Ford and a bunch of other manufacturers. they did not have big brembos though!✌
Brake upgrades great for track...not all that useful in real life except going down huge mountains... If you can lock up your wheels (or trigger anti-lock) at a given speed, you don't need a brake upgrade. If you want to stop faster with wheels that aren't turning, you need better grip...aka tires (or less mass).
Psst. Evo..... Nothing compared to my 3000 gt with AWD swap for drifting. Runs like a 6 second 1/4 mile. But I don't have it anyone the car goes to a different school
Ive done the trip i moved from sarasota fl to juneau alaska back in the 2006, bought a f150 lariat supercab, got full inspection and dragged a uhaul, all the way . Just gas and oil change on the drive .
I've watched Top Gear episodes where they drive clapped out old cares across the worst conditions known to man and they have less breakdowns! All that parts shopping for belts, brake pads etc. Just change them before you go. Give the car a proper once over and all should have been fine. Spare tyres, oil and coolant should have been all you'd need for a road trip! I wonder who sponsored this!
DARYL MT probably because they don’t have barely any miles on them and are new and they could’ve put on new parts behind the camera.... edit: talking about the top gear part
derpdude dat boi I learnt on a 96 Celica a 2.2L one too was fast and had a 5 speed great acceleration handled the corners like a boss, felt planted and the gear changing was satisfying. my older sister and younger sister also learnt on it. My mother still owns it and it’s gone to hell and back so many times. It’s sitting on a cool 370k kms on the clock. Hardly looked after I’ve jumped it raced it almost flipped it multiple times. Celicas are fucking awesome cars. I own a 92 hilux with over 430k on the clock too and it’s still has plenty life in it.
I really enjoyed this episode and can't wait for the next one. I followed your trip on Insta and know there are more awesome sights to come. Keep up the great work!
I watched this series 5 years ago when I drove a broken down mk.4 GTI in high school. I Remember the excitement it brought when I first watched it. Here I am 5 years later, with an Evo X and the same enthusiasm for this as I had 5 years ago. brings me back and makes me happy to visit this again.
@@MiguelRPD Noo, any car guy knows better and as a car guy I'll tell you I take better care of my car then myself. As car guys we are obsessed with tinkering tweaking and maintenance
Around winter1994, drove from Calgary to Florida in a 93 Cavalier Z24 with a manual transmission... Drove through all kinds of conditions....from extreme cold and snow to torrential rainstorms... My friend at the time who I accompanied made a rule stating we would pay for our own fines, speeding tickets etc... She got four tickets, I got none...and I was just as flagrant at driving over the posted speed limits....I got lucky and she was pissed but rules are rules... No vehicle issues...
Not only are u driving this long distance, it’s even longer because you are having to take those cinematic/drone shots too, to make the videos of the journey interesting
I am on a side of TH-cam i rarely find myself in, watching something I have zero interest in.... but shockingly, this is so far the best video i've watched all day and i'll be subscribing. Very very very interesting stuff here.
Martial Mind Welcome to the car side of TH-cam. I don’t really remember how I got here or started watching car videos but for the past couple years TH-cam has really enjoyable for me. Cars have been my life for a number of years and to find a whole side of TH-cam dedicated to it is a blessing in disguise
I SAW YOU GUYS! like a month or so ago in illinois i thought it was so odd that a subaru and mitsubishi were traveling together cause yall had plates from the same state
You guys inspire me so much you don’t even understand. Your vids are so amazing and attention to detail is outstanding. You guys inspire me to the point that when I graduate high school I want to make a channel just like yours. This series is going to be amazing. Keep up the amazing work guys and hope one day I can have a TH-cam channel that can come close you your.
Bro you better start now. Time gets real sparse after school. And society’s monetary driven life grinds away at your soul until your ambitions seem like a distant fantasy. More and more unobtainable each day as you begin to question if there’s any reason to get up in the morning anymore when all of your dreams have died.
This is the first time i see someone do this. I did a similar thing a while ago. I drove my Cl63 AMG from Germany Hamburg to Bengaluru India. Which is almost the same distance, if not more. I replaced my brakes, got myself new tires, got a complete fluid replacement(engine oil, servo fluid, transmission fluid, all kinds of coolants,) and new sparkplugs. Well in all the 7900 kilometers, i had to get new tires in iran after i had two flats. And i had to get a rim replaced after it broke hitting a pothole. Well it was no good idea and i had to ship my car back to Germany from India.
This is still one of the best road trip driving series on TH-cam. The music overlay and the quality video just made this series so fucking enjoyable to watch. It makes me wanna do a road trip like this aswell
14yrs ago I ordered a brand new 0mi Honda B18c5 direct from Honda because I wanted my '92 GSR to be reliable enough to do this sort of trip. That motor was safe to 9500rpm and had zero scheduled tune ups for 110,000mi. Gas mileage was great too as I had removed the AC and power steering to make it more like my old CRXs.
Because they are young and didn't know any better. That's why they didn't have duct tape. But yes, they brought new rotors and brake pads, really? If you were worried about them you should have changed them before the trip. Regardless, great videos guys!
This is more about car breakdown road trip rather than a great road trip, to have made many long road trips myself driving most of the states and including Alaska, I’ve been very lucky not to have a breakdown, but at the same time took precautions making sure mechanically tip-top shape before starting out on each trip. My preferred mode of transport has been and still is quick imports but taking a low clearance car like Evo on the Alcan Highway is a really clueless decision. Perhaps these miss steps will be the main focal point of the whole series to come ??
Not even a minute in and your words combined with y’alls talent of videography creates such an inspiration, reigniting my passion for automobiles I lost a while ago. Missing those warm summer days with the top down, cruising with no real destination in mind with just the thought of the drive. Thank you for rekindling that fire. May your work inspires others as well!
This has got to be excessive. Do these car consume serpentine belts 5x faster than a typical car? I would think changing the belt once would last the trip more than once
Well, if you are going to have a bunch of random parts for the sponsorship it's kind of hard to guess what you are going to need.. so they probably picked parts that most people would need at some point. More of a marketing thing than anything else.
I have a 2016 Impreza. Gone through 9 states, tons of road tripping. I live in Colorado and its gone over many mountains, never had issues. Just the routine, wipers, oil changes etc.
jimmy you just called it a rice mod cuz he didn't jam luggage into his back seat. Smh you either don't know what rice means or your a troll. On top of that why mess up the interior if you have a skii box. Lol.
jimmy you do know he has an iconic car that is worth more than most new cars even thou they can have 120k+ milage lol. Most ppl would grab a evo 9 before your g35 shit most would just get a 350z. Evo 9 will always be worth more than your for decades to come.
I took my mother's Mercury Tracer from Rhoade Island to Florida and back and these morons are just ignorant with how many issues they have. I've done that trip over eight times and the worst that happened was a flat from some idiots who had a box of screws fall off their work truck.
@@SilvaDreams it was definitely over kill by loading up on brake pads, all 4 rotors & belts, ck over your vehicle completely, replace anything that might be almost worn out(brakes, etc), change all fluids & then your normally good to go. Take some tools just in case, as well as plenty of fluids, especially oil, water, antifreeze. Ck your spare tire over, get a can or two of fix a flat as a backup......then drive. I think these guys did a segment for advance to get free parts, even thou they weren't needed for the trip. Who really takes rotors & brake pads on a road trip, lol.
Great video's guys. Came here from the Rx-7 Video and also watched the Racer v Tesla video. Good content. I will say I drove, in a 2004 Jeep Cherokee with over 140,000 miles from Colorado to Montana, down South to AZ (going through Idaho and Utah) and I then went west to California. To return, I went back through AZ, up into Nevada, and back through Utah to get back to Denver. It was a fun trip, but the Jeep definitely had it's issues. You push a car for that hard and that long, you've got to be prepared to work on it, and I'm glad you show this. It was ultimately a year after this trip that the Jeep died. Long winters and road salt rusted the frame, brakes, and even axle to no return. Fun vehicle while I had it though.
Also, the a/c issue is common on SG Foresters. Just fixed mine 1 month ago. Only costs $4 and 40min of time. There are removable shims inside the clutch assembly. Removing them brings clutch closer, allows engagement after years of wear. Check subaruforester.org for detailed instructions. Good luck! 👍👍👍👍
I'm using al the good stuff of my GC8 in my SF5. Rebuild motor, sti 6 speed, coilovers, bracing, seat. even a haltech ecu. I love the forester, more fun then the impreza
I drove my Evo IX from Texas back to North Carolina straight and did it completely starting at around 6 in the afternoon to the next afternoon. No issues at all. A nicely built evo is a very reliable car. Mine has 150k on it.
Chevy 2004 Cavlier 347 K miles. one fuel pump one alternator ignition module 4 spark plugs.2 sets of brake pads. You guys break a lot stuff in less than one month.
I would have wrapped the hood, bumper, and maybe side skirts with clear vinyl before starting this trip... Not to mention changing brake parts and belts rather than carrying literal dead weight. I wouldn't hesitate to drive my Impreza cross country as it sits now, and it's set up for rallycross.
So glad I came across this video. I've taken my 2009 Corolla S on many long road trips from Washington state to Key West, Florida one year which was a 8600-mile round trip. The next year I drove from Vancouver, WA to Nova Scotia, Canada on an epic 9400 mile round trip. I'm looking forward to seeing the series as I have also driven from my home in Vancouver, WA to Alaska 6 years ago on a shorter 6800 mile trip! Good luck guys!!!
Just watched the first 6 minutes! What a beautiful country, I've always dreamed to visit USA, but didn't know how it's really beautiful until I've discovered this video :) It's still one of my most dreams. Now I know what to do when I have some free time in USA >> fill your tank, take the road and enjoy the landscape.
This actually sounds like a good idea. Roadtrip with your own built car and with a bunch of good friends. Perfect. One of my goals in life. And will 100% try to achieve. Keep it up! You've inspired me and the other viewers to do what we want to do. 💯
Rewatching this for the 3rd time! My favorite roadtrip series of my favorite youtube channel! :) Cant wait to see another roadtrip series from you guys! With the STi and MR2 this time maybe haha.
April 2018, my dad and I took my 97 Tacoma from 2.5 hours south of Anchorage where I'm from, to Richmond, Va.. took us 4 days, driving 24 hours that really sucked lol.. I'm sure we passed each other! Looking forward to watching this series!!
Do you guys really plan on going through that many rotors and pads? Service life on those parts, especially when you're going to be doing mainly highway, should far exceed the total length of the trip assuming you're not setting out on completely shot components...in which case you'd just change them beforehand. You'd be better off with tire repair kits/pumps, and doing some basic service prior to setting out.
Yes, I have. I have been to almost all lower 48 states and 6 countries including Afghanistan. And I did the traveling in much older vehicles then those they used. Do your preventive maintenance, save the weight and fuel and hassle.
I drove from Washington to Indiana to South Carolina to Louisiana to Austin Texas to LA and back to Washington in 10 days. Then drove back up to Alaska. Your little "road trip" is adorable.
I drove from Massachusettes to South Florida in an '05 Acura RSX Type-S, 1300 miles, 19 hours. And I plan on driving it back up. I also want to buy a Scion FRS later this year and I want to take it to Houston, TX and on a trip up to Mass. Any motivation for your trip? That sounds awesome. Some day I want to go cross country, from Massachusettes to Washington.
I think some people are missing the point here. Its not about the gas milage or the reliability of their cars. It's about a love for driving these cars and for seeing the country. This is a real adventure, setting out onto the road with all the unknowns along the way and making the best out of it. I wish I could do a fraction of what they did. Truly inspiring. They knew this would not be easy, but that's what makes it worth it in the end. "True adventure begins when everything goes wrong." -Yvon Chouinard
Never seen so many breakdowns in a 24hr period.. lol. How many miles did these cars have to begin with? A little silly to take such cars in such a long trip, considering it's not just 1 way.. it's TWO ways.. nuts!
I mean clearly it wasn't just the drive shaft if it started leaking fluid everywhere a few hundred miles later. I'm just saying the transmission is having issues, probably wasn't the best idea to road trip in a car with an untested trans
its simply not interesting to watch a stock do a road trip like this. "Xthousands of miles" any half ok newish car will do that without any prep. the only reason this kind of trip is interesting is junk cars or modded cars, where the expectation of failure is much higher........ EG: the evos axle boot. any normal car would drive on that bad boot for years, it simply wouldnt be an issue. if it became loud you chuck some grease up the split and put duct tape..... most people wouldnt even care about the noise and still drive it for years without a problem....... its only interesting because they try to do it with nice cars............... same with the drive shaft leak, unless the car is special to you you just carry on until the tranny blows up and then replace the whole car, thats usually the cheaper way to go........

Too
The reason you guys had problems on this trip is because you forgot to say "that's going nowhere" when you installed the parts.
Only Aussies do that

Noah S 🔥yeah my bucket list is to road trip through every state..... well except Hawaii of course 😂
The shot at 11:50 is absolutely breathtaking. I haven't seen this level of high quality filming on youtube.
Treverse if you like that I recommend off the ranch. He takes hella nice pan shoot shots of sun rises and sun sets
Ernesto Gonzalez bruh
Serpentine belt service interval is 60-100K, brakes 20-60K depending on driving conditions. Since you're mostly doing highway miles, I doubt you'll wear out much of your brake pads. You're just doing a promo for advanced auto parts. Many of these things can be purchased anywhere. The only thing I'd make sure to have is AAA, a large tool kit, a spare tire, a tire repair kit, an air pump, fluids, and lots of alcohol. And also a reminder to myself, don't buy a Subaru or a Mitsubitshi and buy a Prius.
I love how they just expect to snap a belt like it’s a regular occurrence.
LOL.
It's hard to have anything else go wrong when your car can't move anymore haha thanks for the laugh!
You guys do such phenomenal work. Great job on this series. I'll make sure to watch every episode.
Dude we like you so much
Hey chase
Oh shit chase is here ima subscriber
Holy fuck chase
You guys are not having the road trip , you are having service trip , those cars break so often .
maybe not all.....I've owned a 2008 and 2015 STi and traveled a lot. no problems :)
Yeah, they needed an 8 year old Honda and a 10 year old Toyota instead.
Subaru is broken from the factory, Evo is reliable as hell!
lol dude any car is reliable if you take care of it properly.
4 years in. I Still re-watch these.
Reminds me of those oldschool top gear specials just not as funny and whacky but more realistic tho
Dariune I was thinking the same
On paper maybe
"The person behind us didn't have brembos." LOL
Brembos are only useful if you have good tires
The person behind had Woodward big brake kit lol
funny thing is. its a good chance the person behind did have Brembos, as they are the oem supplier for GM, Ford and a bunch of other manufacturers. they did not have big brembos though!✌
Brake upgrades great for track...not all that useful in real life except going down huge mountains... If you can lock up your wheels (or trigger anti-lock) at a given speed, you don't need a brake upgrade. If you want to stop faster with wheels that aren't turning, you need better grip...aka tires (or less mass).
that evo 9 is perfect. makes me miss my white evo 7..
Htm281 - why did you get rid of it?
Hard to drive that car where I am, I tense heat and couldn't afford to keep it at the time
Htm281 - that really sucks man.. wish you all the best.
Paul Foo thanks man, currently driving my 08 350z. You can check out some videos on my channel on both of you want to!
Psst.
How to prepare for a drive from Florida to Alaska:
Scotty Kilmer told me to drive a Toyota, those run forever
Do you want a sporty car? Try a 1994 Toyota Celica! It's got 235,000 miles on the clock and it still runs fine.
Rev up your toyotas !
derpdude dat boi I learnt on a 96 Celica a 2.2L one too was fast and had a 5 speed great acceleration handled the corners like a boss, felt planted and the gear changing was satisfying.
my older sister and younger sister also learnt on it.

Not only are u driving this long distance, it’s even longer because you are having to take those cinematic/drone shots too, to make the videos of the journey interesting
pity is that until now, the trip is about the cars an not the places.
I am on a side of TH-cam i rarely find myself in, watching something I have zero interest in.... but shockingly, this is so far the best video i've watched all day and i'll be subscribing. Very very very interesting stuff here.

whatt same
This is the first time i see someone do this.
Man that would have been fun I would love to go on a trip to Germany from India
hey man that sounds like a helluwa trip, do you have kind of trip diary/ photos to provide? I am seriously interested to hear more

Wow, taking all the tools possible but no duct tape? what the hell, guys?
Roberto Arkenburg I mean, we had zipties. Did you want me to drift stitch the boot back together lol? Should have had duct tape though
Because they are young and didn't know any better. That's why they didn't have duct tape. But yes, they brought new rotors and brake pads, really? If you were worried about them you should have changed them before the trip. Regardless, great videos guys!
I’m wondering who is filming them from the side of the road. And how many times they have to drive back to pick that guy up for the scenes
I reckon they might've had a beater car following them with the videographer/intern driving it.
Beater car was, of course, the one that didn't break down at all through the entire trip.
Beater cars are the most reliable cars.
Drone
My money is that it's a prius.

Looks like you guys were in Houston near my shop. We could have taken care of the A/C issue no problem.
Love your channel Do Boy!!!
What shop do you work in Houston?
Not even a minute in and your words combined with y’alls talent of videography creates such an inspiration, reigniting my passion for automobiles I lost a while ago. Missing those warm summer days with the top down, cruising with no real destination in mind with just the thought of the drive. Thank you for rekindling that fire. May your work inspires others as well!
great video. i am damn proud to support this channel
i am damn glad!
Never overestimate the knowledge level of people who have no knowledge.
Can we appreciate the videographers massive skills
I have a 2016 Impreza. Gone through 9 states, tons of road tripping. I live in Colorado and its gone over many mountains, never had issues. Just the routine, wipers, oil changes etc.
The skii box on the evo 9 looks so sexy

jimmy you do know he has an iconic car that is worth more than most new cars even thou they can have 120k+ milage lol.

*BUILT SUBARU FORESTER?!?* Welcome to the club!! 🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️👏👏👏💖💖💖
Good luck! 👍👍👍👍

I have drove from Toronto to Chicago back and forth thrice , no issues with my Corolla also 🙏

An STi swapped Forester is the best road trip car in my opinion, it has the STi engine and the practically of the Forester
And the reliability of an AMC Gremlin.
opmike343 yeah true
I loved my sports cars, but something about the quiet smoothness and reliability of a modern truck or SUV (none of the crossover crap).
Fantastic start to a series that will no doubt be epic!
I would have wrapped the hood, bumper, and maybe side skirts with clear vinyl before starting this trip... Not to mention changing brake parts and belts rather than carrying literal dead weight. I wouldn't hesitate to drive my Impreza cross country as it sits now, and it's set up for rallycross.

morale of the story car manufactures should make make Brembo brakes come stock with every vehicle, that would also improve safety
They do with a lot of vehicles, my Miata has OEM replacement Brembo disks. It's the Performance Brembos that make the difference. And the calipers.
lol and increase production costs tenfold
It's less the brake calipers and more the tires and ding dong sitting behind the wheel.
or don't suddenly slam your brakes like a dumbass
thats what they get for driving a built car in alabama these people here cant drive
If you get sponsored why not stock up on free parts
Easy, weight. Rotors and pads are a lot of dead weight to be carrying around. The heavier your vehicle, the worse fuel economy you get.
Why not haul around a bunch of unnecessary crap on an across the country road trip? Have you taken any extended trips before?
Yes, I have. I have been to almost all lower 48 states and 6 countries including Afghanistan. And I did the traveling in much older vehicles then those they used. Do your preventive maintenance, save the weight and fuel and hassle.
awesome, can't wait to see the next one! Great job guys

If its not a Toyota, yes.
Engine oil change for every 4K miles as well...
These cars
They’re car guys. They want to.
A little silly to take such cars in such a long trip, considering it's not just 1 way.. it's TWO ways.. nuts!
Agreed. Plus you have the Subaru just swapped the transmission and was having problems with it immediately. Might have been installed wrong?
Rob Heckman Did you not watch the video past that part? They then immediately said is wasn't the trans but the drive shaft, which they fixed
except that it then started leaking... did YOU watch the video?
I mean clearly it wasn't just the drive shaft if it started leaking fluid everywhere a few hundred miles later. I'm just saying the transmission is having issues, probably wasn't the best idea to road trip in a car with an untested trans
its simply not interesting to watch a stock do a road trip like this. "Xthousands of miles" any half ok newish car will do that without any prep. the only reason this kind of trip is interesting is junk cars or modded cars, where the expectation of failure is much higher........ EG: the evos axle boot. any normal car would drive on that bad boot for years, it simply wouldnt be an issue. if it became loud you chuck some grease up the split and put duct tape..... most people wouldnt even care about the noise and still drive it for years without a problem....... its only interesting because they try to do it with nice cars............... same with the drive shaft leak, unless the car is special to you you just carry on until the tranny blows up and then replace the whole car, thats usually the cheaper way to go........
who is watching this in 2019😍😍😍...i love this forester.🇰🇪🇰🇪
