Etsy is a huge marketplace for sellers as you can sell both physical and digital products to a huge audience.

Do you still sell on Etsy? Is it worth it as a platform for you?
As an Etsy customer I shop there a lot less than I used to. Partly because of drop shippers and partly because I don’t like the number of fees for sellers. I’m trying to support small businesses, not Etsy’s HQ! I still use it as a search engine and look for a link to a Shopify or other store if I find an Etsy seller I like.
Totally understand that! I’ve found myself going to Etsy less and instead buying from peoples Shopify stores when they have them. Etsy is very different than it once was on both sides.

I agree. I started my shop on Ko-Fi...not lots of traffic but I guess this is where my marketing skills have to come into play.
I've been selling on Etsy for 15 months now. In that time, Etsy fees have amounted to 13%-15% of my gross product sales. When I consider what I get for it, I consider it a bargain. I don't have to do any marketing. Payment processing is already paid for (unlike having to pay for it after I've paid my monthly web hosting fees). I don't have to worry about collecting or remitting sales tax to dozens of different states each month or quarter. I also get discounted rates with the post office.
Would we all like Etsy's fees to be lower? Sure. Are they "crazy"? Far from it.

What’s another platform or products to sell them?
Try Ko-fi. I have sold a few things on there. It is really easy to set it up. I used to sell on Ebay and was contemplating Etsy...
I plan to sell printables and digital planners and I'm wondering if I can put my website url on the "Thank you" notes I leave with the products. Would Etsy notice that?
That’s fine! You can definitely include your information in a thank you note. You can’t do things like grab their email direct from Etsy and add them to your list or message them and say buy on my website instead of Etsy.
Not worth the only way to make it on etsy is by reselling stuff however once you get going etsy will suspend your account!
This exact experience happened to me when I started getting sales on my Etsy store. Is this a common experience for new stores?
