- To celebrate the release of the Lewis Hamilton DLC, we got our very own superstar Jimmy Broadbent to take on the 6x F1 World Champion to see how close he could get to his times. Safe to say, he needs a bit more practice.

His lines obviously aren't perfect in the DLC, or they wouldn't have been beaten in 7 minutes after the update went live. I watched it happen.

This is one of those rare examples of good, win-win marketing. Getting personalities who honestly appreciate the product and can sell it without having to sell out. Whoever thought to bring the youtubers in from the cold deserves a big raise.

I’ve become faster because of this challenge. Thank you GTS and Lewis. I’m not a big fan of his like others but I respect his abilities impressive lad.
Also Brands Hatch I’m under 1 second from him, T1 T2 T3 I’m able to go faster but 2 tenths but lose big time after Sec 2 and 3. Dragon Trail I’m 1 second behind and faster again by 2 tenths into sec 1 and sec 2 lose out massively in sec 3 🤣 Nord is so freakin crazy hard for me. I’m glad I’ve now found more pace I’m 1 and a half seconds now I ever thought possible. G29 and DS4 user.

Especially in Sim Racing it's really about those very tiny details. And its important to collect as many details as possible for each racetrack and each car. But where to put them? Write them down? I think it's way easier to put all of these notes into an app and got it with you all the time. So if you got any ideas later in bed, it would be easy to add them to the notes. You can share all of your notes with your teammates, that means everyone can write down important notes for each corner and everyone will get these notes and learn from them as well - so you can expect that everyone out of your team is on the same "knowledge level" and should be able to go for the same pace and push each other (maybe someone has a good advice for that corner which makes him fast and another one got another corner which makes him fast - so put them together and be faster together).
Furthermore you can watch and add onboard videos to the app (in your private diary) to take notes while watching the video if you're not at home and spend some time improving and finding own faults.
There are some more functions so I sadly won't be able to write them all down, but we're steady working on improving the app for sim racers as well!

This should be free , like in old GT Sebastian Loeb(WRC), Sebastian Vetel (Red bull) and other chalanges (eg.NASCAR, Mercedes academy), I can't see any reason to pay for this dlc.

You're making me want to race lewis' ghost. I just thought of a Lewis Hamilton brand like Jordans, to celebrate. Also skate shoe version, because theyre great shoes for martial arts, traction on flat ground, then the sneakers spin and turn into pirellis. Boom sponsor with the shoes and an arrangement.
Probly a LOT closer than most of us!

Because some line wouldn’t seem obvious for someone coming from IRL racing (ie- dragon trail chicane)
a few of them were scruffy laps, ive already got 3 diamonds, however when watching the brake input on the replays you can tell some sort of alien is driving the cars
@@pinkarey_ yeah, but the willow springs lap is really fking good. The absolute fastest people are just 3 tenths faster than him and that means something. these fastest guys exactly know, where they can track extend without a penalty. hamiltons laps were pretty much always in the track limits. he didn't cut the nürburgring chicane nearly as much, as you have to do in gt sport.
@@HeavyMetalGamingHD Lewis was racing the fastest irl lines with time constraints. The top SIM racers exploit the game to get the fastest time and will continue to do so. That's the difference.
@@gold6813 To be entirely fair if they gave Lewis more time to experiment with track limits he would be doing the same thing. That's just the spirit of competition.

I never was great at video games till SIM racing came into I racing and the likes we had a home made SIM at my local track and I'm the only one to use it touring all the far end of the globe to drive all my favorite F1 tracks especially the longer ones like SPA an the Norsliede of Germany the most challenging of them all....thanks good driving....pressure on our SIM is on time 10 minutes....so u get 3 or 4 laps to practice non of this all day driving I do it for real,get the tires hot and go do it best....don't get married to it...JK
So far I got 1 Diamond, for Interlagos and Gold in the rest :)

No, he didn't get all flat lap times. The Gold times displayed are only for "gold" - Lewis' times are "Diamond", and aren't shown during the race.
