Lewis is 100% going down as an f1 legend up there with people like Schumacher, senna and Prost, maybe better. He marks a good change to allow for diversity and he just seems like a bloody nice guy

I am a Ferrari supporter, however it is evident that Lewis is the best driver at the moment (with the best team). Congrats for this season! I think the pole in Monaco was the best moment of his season.

As a Brazilian, for some time after 2008, as a 10 year old crying in front of the TV after he beated Massa I couldn't help but to hate him. But now, I have only admiration for such a good driver an person. He deserved it.

@Jennifer Maple Do you remember who has been substituted by him at Mercedes? McLaren wasn´t so good from the beginning of 2009 because BrawnGP came in 2009 with the best car of the grid and after that season McLaren´s results started to come down.
Lewis was a promising driver and when Michael decided to retire Mercedes gave him an oportunity to shine and show his talent to the world in a car that was at the same level as him.
Sometimes we have to think a bit about what really hapenned and be quiet instead of saying things that doesn´t matter neither to God and are not truth.

But here's the thing: There are plenty of examples of Max literally wanting to fight people he doesn't agree with or just saying someone deserves to get punched or things like that. (Lately in reg to the, granted, idiotic behaviour from Simon Pagenaud). I am not saying Max wont grow up and realize there are smarter ways to disagree. He may very well do so, like so many other boys. Just saying if you look a bit deeper than SkyF1, you will see he isn't there yet. And yep, he's fast AF and his determination and skills are to be admired, but I don't mind separating the amazing driver from the less than amazing teenage personality.
Lewis wasn't always the super eloquent, calm man he is today, either. That came with age which is natural. Even more so for the world's best athletes. It makes sense as they tend to grow up in their bubbles of sport only - as they have to to reach the levels of accomplishment that they do.

Anyone who does needs to find another sport to watch. Domination is part of F1 and will remains so. I'm still sad they had to change the regs in 2005 to stop Michael from winning or in 2014 to end Vettel's reign supreme. Those were the greatest of times.
There's a kind of splendour to his quiet, humble gratitude. I'm so happy he's just being himself. I really admire how much he has grown over the years.

My name is Henry, I was born in 1997, and I have been a fan of f1 for as long as I can remember, but the first race I watched from start to finish was the Brazilian Grand Prix in 2008, when you won your first world championship. I remember being my 10 year old self, and saying to myself, that’s my favorite formula 1 driver of all time. Being just a kid, I never saw you as being different from the other drivers, I didn’t even have the capacity to think you were different because of your skin colour, I only saw you as just another British Formula 1 racing driver and now world champion.
Fast forward to the end of 2019 being almost 22 years old, I’ve sat down every Sunday since 2014 and have watched you win all of your five championships with Mercedes. You are the GOAT Lewis, I can’t wait to see you match and destroy Michael’s records. Like all the other f1 drivers, you are an f1 driver, you are not different from everyone else because of yours skin colour or where you have come from, or whatever some people might think. I guess the only difference between you and everyone else is that you are the greatest of all time.
Also if you’re down try anything, you have got to marlin fishing in Kona, Hawaii or Costa Rica. That is super fun! And if you’re up for a challenge that will test your will power and strength, marlin fishing where you could catch a 1000lb+ fish would be right up your alley.

Chicago great city not been there for years
1995 Kimbolton kart track. My cousin and I were there to practice on our 100cc. Two Malaysian kids at the track. And I think Lewis was in the cadets or juniors at the time, practicing too, and even then he looked quick. What stood out was for that weekend, other than my cousin and I, Lewis and his dad were the only person of colour at the track. The only time I wished we had camera phones back then! Started follwing his career from then on. At least he's powered by Petronas!!!
I am a Ferrari and Charles Leclerc fan but man Hamilton is such a great driver. It’s true some times is boring to see him wining so much but he wins so much because of his talent , the hard work from him and the great that is Mercedes and his fighter soul. I got to say that as a young guy he is a big inspiration for me. I can’t wait to see Charles and Lewis fighting next year for the championship. Lewis you are a great champ and one of the best drivers in history no matter what car you drive.

It’s a shame Mark Webber couldn’t have snatched that 2010 title because his rags to riches story is incredible.
From day one I knew he had what it took. His first season in F1 was jaw dropping. Plus his admiration for Senna (till this day). The guy is a class act. I'm glad to see how far he got.

You know now that i look at it the 2018-2019 f1 cars dont look half bad.
They are huge but look really cool. I think 2014-15 are ugly and most importantly 2017 is the worst.
Wonder if they're going to bring back the colour scheme when they get the Mercedes engine. My favourite was the west McLaren Mercedes livery from 2005
@Little Light How are the 2017 cars the worse? They looked amazing. No HALO (It’s for safety but still ugly), the re-introduction of wide tires, and the shark fins didn’t look that bad either. Have you seen the 2017 Renault and Toro Rosso cars?

I’ve been rooting against Lewis and Mercedes for as long as I’ve been watching F1. Yet he’s always risen. Now I realize that’s what made him so great. Time and time again no matter how hard I cheered for his competitors, he rose to the top. Underneath all of the disappointments and bitter Sunday afternoons I think Ill look back and relish the time that I got to watch the great Lewis Hamilton grace my TV as well as my own eyes with his incredible performances. I mean just think what some people would do to watch a Schumacher or Senna lap a track one more time

As a kid and Ferrari fan I loved Schumacher because he win everything with Ferrari. When you, Lewis, came at Mercedes and you started win (almost) every year I hated you until now when I finally realize one thing, I see you like I saw Schumacher independently from the car you’re driving you are the best, you’re the hammer and I finally see you like always have been, one of the most successful F1 drivers of all time, and the one that will soon become the best for the successes you get and you will get.

A lot of people praised him because of what he was capable of at the beginning (2007 season), and we got what we wanted. Eventually that comes to an end, and it really isn't that much that George is beating him (imo not really) because... 24 vs 37 years old, younger talents eventually take the lead ig.

Asked on Hamilton's comments after victory at Circuit Zandvoort, Verstappen acknowledged the efforts of his team to aid his quest, but also reinforced that he plays just as much of a crucial part in his own success.

Watching Lewis grow as a driver & person over the years has been a complete honour & absolute pleasure. People seem to forget he wasn't always as dominant as he is now, there were times when almost anything he did on track received penalties from the stewards. I personally believe this helped him mature & grow into the force he is now & his dominance is a direct result of those times. Huge respect has to go to anybody who can take those knocks & learn from them.
I remember watching Schumacher win his championships & claiming all his records, never did I think I'd be lucky enough to see another legend of the sport rise & surpass the achievements of the most successful driver of all time. I genuinely believed that nobody would ever come close, but here we are, on the brink of seeing that happen.
It's been so incredible to watch you rise over the last 12 years Lewis & I honestly feel blessed to have witnessed the 2 most successful drivers of all time (I'm also old enough to have watched the careers of senna & prost). Yes everyone has their favourite drivers past & present, but stats don't lie. I look forward to seeing you race over the next few years & watching you claim those final few records. Then there can be no doubters, you ARE the greatest of all time !!!

Sir Lewis Hamilton, the F1 Legend of his time.
Like many dudes and dudettes, I often got annoyed with Mercedes 1-2 for years LOL
but I got wiser and now I watch F1 as a broader picture rather than engaging in tribalism supporting a select team or drivers.
Its a lot more fun and you begin to really acknowledge the engineering side of it plus how drivers have to make it work with their engineers. Its a side not often appreciated by F1 fans, many dont even seem aware at the significant differences between the cars of rival teams.
Thats also how i really begin to appreciate Lewis' talents, he really is the most all rounded driver on the track and fantastically consistent.
And hes also a genuinely a likable guy. Yes hes dog headed on the tracks and hes not afraid to go all elbows out racing but thats...you know, his job?
I like Hamilton because he worked hard to make his dreams a reality in a such a tough sport, he shows that any kid from any background can achieve their dreams.
Wasn’t the biggest fan of Lewis at the beginning but over the years I’ve watched him become a legend in F1 and the more I listen to him and understand his work ethics the more I like him , he certainly has took F1 to a new level ,all the best Lewis for 2020 season

Lewis is one hell of a role model. I think he's probably the best driver there's ever been. But I admire that he's got a life prepared for when he retires - that is also part of him being a role model. So many drivers seem lost after they retire, he's just going to be starting the next leg of his journey. I wish him, and all of Mercedes all the best for the future.

From attending the final race ever held in South Africa with my dad in the early nineties to rooting for Mika and then through the dominance of Shumi I have always loved the Mercedes team, their car and their drivers. But I never thought we would ever see anyone touching Shumi. Yet here we are. You guys are absolutely amazing and while it will be sad to see Shumi bested I have to say as a lifelong Mclaren/Mercedes fan I'm extremely excited for it, you guys deserve all the success and To Lewis: My dude you never cease to amaze me and you have made fans out of many of my friends. I've been lucky enough to be able to see one of them in the London Petronas headquarters (about half a year ago). It was an amazing piece of structure to observe and I still remember it like yesterday. 😍

His 2008 Championship winning McLaren will always be my favourite F1 car of all time! It's just so damn beautiful and has that amazing soundtrack to go with it. I still miss those days but the 2020 Merc was just a demon in it's own right!
How can one not like Lewis Hamilton , From a early age he worked so hard to get where he is now. The best Driver , Driving the best car in F1. I say good for him ..... He's got talent. I am quite sure whatever he choses to do after F1 he will excel.
The only problem with this video it's TOO SHORT. I could listen to Lewis for hours , he is humble , highly intelligent , and speaks from the heart. " This beautiful Thing Called Life " He gets it. "Just try and be a positive beam of life whenever you can." Wow thats powerful.

Emerald City CS I wouldn’t say lewis drives totally clean though. He got pretty dirty with rosberg at times, however he never crossed the line imo. Maybe the biggest incident was when rosberg won his championship and Hamilton drove slow on purpose in the hope that max and seb would then overtake rosberg behind him. It didn’t work, but I can’t blame Hamilton for trying and it shows how he’ll try absolutely everything to win
It would be very cool to see lewis paired with max and then see how dirty they would get with each other. I truly hope we will see it before lewis retires
Bottas is well off Hamilton. Rosberg always gave him a run for his money but bottas never has. It’s time for someone else to have a go
I think Nico was a different case for Lewis. That's perhaps the only reason he was dirty with him. They raced each other even when they were young. Lewis has never tried that sort of thing with Seb or anyone else. Rosberg-Hamilton & Senn-Prost are in my favorite rivalries. Yes there are other greater rivalries out there. But those r my favorite.
This is about the most sense I have heard in a long while in this crazy world. TV channels should put this out to the world as it is simple wording like this can make a big change to the world and this is said from the heart and I am sure that Lewis is many peoples idol. Lewis and Mercedes keep doing what you are doing because people need to hear these sort of things.

I have huge respect for Lewis Hamilton. I am Ayrton Senna fan and I didn't like his attitude in the beginning of his career and even till 2018. But I've listened to his speech after he won the title and I noticed how much he has evolved as human being. He had such a big gratitude for everything in his life and that turned my opinion on him. He's shining like a star here in this video and it is a great reflection on his life and achievements. It's amazing, go Lewis! :)

I wasn’t always an amg f1 team fan, I used to like felepe massa and alonso duo back few years ago, when Lewis debut back in 2007,he was in my top 3 fav along with massa and alonso, when he advanced to Mercedes he started gathering wins like it’s nothing and now that massa retired and alonso became the king of memes by becoming the ambassador of peace for Lewis and rosberg back during the Mercedes silver war, he’s in my top 1 along with alonso and ayrton ( rest in peace senna ). Lewis still has a future ahead of him and Mercedes is now my favourite f1 team, congratulations on going this far since bron gp left the scene and came back for the first time in 60+ years
June 2007 was the first time I saw him race in person. He has grown over the years and still a joy to watch today.
