This is exactly the project i was looking for! Thanks a lot! The llano and iets do not sell here in my country, and importing them would make their cost get over 200 dollars... And the ones without foam make really no difference in my temps I will try to 3d print something like it!
I was actually just thinking if anyone tried this, as I'm thinking of foam sealing a Cooler Master NotePal CMC3 as it's $10 in my region and has no vent holes for leakage. I have a 14" so this 15.6" class cooler is perfect size for me, my laptop thermal throttles on normal coolers, and no foam sealed laptop coolers in my region below $100.
Very nice videos!! It really looks like you know your way around coolers! I am having a bit of difficulty finding a cooler that is big enough for my 18" laptop....... Any suggestions for bigger laptops?
you should also cover the other holes on the stand that not used by fans. It would increase pressure. And maybe open extra holes to fans? or cut a circle shape for fans? I think you can upgrade setup and make another video :D
Your design beats the IETS Gt600 and Llano v12 when you use a Delta fan 120 mm 6000 rpm with proper dust filter. For overkill Nidec G1438X54 BMZP a 140 mm fan with a max rpm 15000. th-cam.com/video/7ECZ1Gwmukg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=XKw5t95BRht4-mYI

Then this would be a great option as it was the closest thing I’ve seen to those coolers
Thanks for doing it matt❤
That was an incredibly fast comment by the way! And you are very welcome glad you enjoyed it! I appreciate you watching and being early!
Very cool, though it would probably work much better with a less restrictive fan grille.
You are completely right and next time i definitely want to change that if I can find a better solution.
@@mattscomputerservices Looking forward to seeing it!
Airflow highly restricted with those hole layouts.
Should cover the extra holes I believe that are surrounding the fans.
still better performance than laptop coolers lol

Lets Tell Them to do so, with way less grill to interfere
Of course that would be sweet. I might have to say something at computex this year.
Good job. It might be loud, but it probably isn't any worse than my Dell with a 13980hx. That this is always going and always HOT.
Probably those sounds like jet engines
What happens if you use foam on that $12 cooler that you recommend for the budget pick?
Not much the fans in those coolers are weak and cannot force the air into the laptop even with foam
Also curious if this would help!

Nice mod, good job. I didn't quite catch that from the video, but should fans pull or push air?
Push air into the laptop
Ok, thanks
already did that i bought 4 server fans 120mm 3500 rpm and man it worked like charmmmmm its noisy a bit also has controller :D
Yeah that’s one way to go about it. Sounds like a great solution!
@@mattscomputerservices it's best thing I made so far repasting with ptm 7950 is the best thing better temps
PTM is great that stuff is incredibly efficient and very low maintenance
I would use the Arctic P12 since it is cheaper

Where's the air filter?
So in your opinion What is the best cooler for gaming laptops
Your personal top two
Llano and IETS GT600
@@mattscomputerservicesLlano v13 (latest 2024). Would you recommend it, over building this custom one with Noctua NF-F12s?
Anyone know what the name of that black foam is? really wanted to build this my self
Hey man, I guess it's just soft black pu foam that they cut to size
Nice content bro.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
pls try flydigi bs1 cooler
Never seen that one but I’ll check it out
