  • Today on Jon's Moto Garage we take the 2008 Suzuki Boulevard C109R (C109RT) for a spin and discuss how much it cost, what the estimated market value is, and potential profit to be made on another motorcycle buy/sell/craigslist FLIP! Plus we get to hear the C109R with aftermarket exhaust! Do you prefer stock, or do you dig the LOUD pipe?

      I'm used to short shift as fast as possible to Fifth gear
      Not like some US riders I see on YT that ride every gear till the end
      That introduces much more stress on the gears

    I just bought a 2009 109RT with 8800 miles on it for $5k a couple of weeks ago. Has all the light upgrades, saddle boxes, trunk and fairing as well as aftermarket pipes. I love the big guy. Looks perfect, and is the perfect size. I make it look small at 6'6" and 240 lbs.

    I own an 09 C109RT and its a beautiful back and red duel tone color. I test rode an M109R because its the top muscle bike and everyone raves about how incredibly fast the M109R is but i was disappointed in its performance as my C109RT was clearly faster in the low end and Infinitly more comfortable than that stiff slow M109R

    Love mine. Only problem I've had with the boulevards because I had the 50, 90 and now the c109. Did head bearing all three. Bikes have handlebar shake riding with no hands. Test your bike. Speeds between 30 and 50mph. They use tapered bearings for replacement. Be careful riders.

    • @JonsMotoGarage
      @JonsMotoGarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If I planned on doing lots of longer rides, i would go with the c109rt. It's more comfortable and had all the extras (floorboards, windscreen, saddle bags, etc.). Otherwise, I like the look and stance of the m109r a bit more. It had the cool/fun factor imo.

      I actually happen to have a warrior in my garage at the moment (I sold the c109r a while back). The 109 packs a bigger punch for sure (more hp and torqure). However, I prefer the handling and overall ride of the warrior personally. The c109 would be a better option for the long rides.

The M109 has maybe 10 more horsepower but the C109RT has 10 ft lbs of torgue.They tuned the motor for this one for low end grunt like a big V twin needs for a crusier type big the M version is for kids that like the high end top speed different applications and classes of bikes but not under powered and might surprise you.

    You definitely got ripped off. I wouldn’t have paid more than 2.5k for that bike. I got my 2012 Yamaha v star 950 last year with 7600 miles. I payed $4150. A little less than market value & im sure I could have gotten it for a bit cheaper. Some people would rather take a loss & have money in hand than to keep it sitting there for months.One thing I learned was that if a seller really, really needs to get rid of their bike, they will take almost any offer.

    • @JonsMotoGarage
      @JonsMotoGarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for checking out the vid! I've owned a few of the V-Star 950's -- great bikes! Do you have the tourer model w/the bags, windshield, etc.? You're right, if a seller id desperate enough, they're usually more inclined to accept a lower offer. Tis the nature of the beast! Ride safe amigo!

      I feel like you're just making up a number to try to sound like you know what you're talking about. Well maintained cruisers, like this one (from the way it sounds), keep their value. Considering this was probably $15k brand new, the only person who got ripped off was the guy who sold it.
