George my man, no matter where you are now, You're still the man that could jerk a tear from any old soul, no matter who they might be. You'll always be the King of Country.
When I was young I didn't really have an appreciation for country music but in my older years I I realize how much it's changed over the decades. George was one of the greats with a signature voice that can't be duplicated and I sure do miss him and all those who were so big a part of his era. I remember when he came out with this song and back then nobody thought twice about what it would be like when George wasn't around anymore. This was just another hit song, but every word in this song is absolutely true. Sadly we just have to accept that nobody can fill the shoes of such talented people once they're gone and we just have to enjoy these great performers until it's our time to go. Respect to you all . . .
This was amazing, perfect, honorable, beautiful... and once again, I have a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. God, I miss him. Thank you for making this and sharing it.
Jamie Johnson,Chris Stapelton are standing tall mak'in em proud! Toby has joined them in the circle.Blessings to family, friends, fans. We'll never stop mourning for legends, loved ones
