Got mine mine in the uk my wife got it for my christmas its a nice representation exhausts where a bit of a let down put bigger pipes on used 3mm aluminium tube looks great and a anttena on the boot trunk. Think its a hit and miss with the piant work mine looks fine waited for the 2nd release the first release is shocking heated my light bar in hot water and gently eased the four down struts out a bit it look staight now
Nice. I have my cousin from Australia (Which I am from originally but away now) sending me one. Once could argue that although yours has some paint issues, in the film itself, those cars were cheaply painted and you can see in some scenes they had no undercoat as well. So, you could say it makes it a closer interpretation to the film that way as well.

I am almost tempted to buy a second one and convert it to the Big Bopper. I will say though, it will probably come out soon as well. Its the NightRider HQ Monaro I want no as well and the Black Landau from MM 2.
Just an FYI - Nightrider's HQ is out, but selling quickly. I got mine from Australia. A Big Bopper conversion would be tough using Max's car as a base. The paint scheme is quite different. There are a few other small details, too (roof lights, head lights, rims) .
There is a guy who converts them into big popper cars on Facebook. I am waiting for him to get some yellow rims to do mine after Xmas. But I did email greenlight and they did confirm to me once covid is done and dusted they are keen on doing few more mad max cars down the line.
The big bopper is out in 1:64 and 1:43 originally that's the only way you could get the 1st V8 interceptor as well and they ended up bringing that out in 1;18 so hopefully the same will happen with the big bopper , as far as night rider the 1:18 was too expensive for me so I got the 1:24 version much cheaper
Im in the process of converting one of the Greenlight Mad Max 1/43 Interceptors into the Mad Max 2 version of the car. Just waiting for some small Dremel cutting wheels to arrive that i ordered. Cutting the boot lid off of the rear of the car is gonna be awkward because of the size of the Dremel cutting wheels. You should do one too, Royce and upload the vid.
I got one a few weeks ago, annoyingly has flaws, drivers door wont shut tight couple of marks in the paint. I did modify the tailpipes to match the real car, and added the c.b aerial.
@@titan-tm7kl That's why I want Greenlight to release a 1:64 version. It would cost around $5. Hell, if they did an entire Mad Max line, I'd buy multiples of each one. Especially the different variants of the Pursuit Special.
@@Nomad416 atm dda in Australia has the rights im guessing they are releasing all the different versions your talking about including the enemy cars , goose's motorbike , Max's panel Van most in 1:64 except the night rider which is in 1:24 and 1:18 versions , hopefully in the future Greenlight will because the versions here by DDA are crazy expensive I purchased the big bopper pursuit in 1:43 scale it cost me $108 Australian and that was cheaper than usual but still too expensive , the only recently priced one out of what I mentioned is the night riders HQ in 1:24 scale
@@titan-tm7kl Greenlight's Pursuit Specials are somewhat of a strange case because I don't think they actually have a license to use any Mad Max trademarks, effectively making them knockoffs. I have four of the 1:64 versions and all of them have thematically appropriate but generic packaging with only "Last of the V8 Interceptors" on it in the Mad Max font, and the only trademark on the car itself is Ford's. Even the yellow interceptor's color scheme can be reproduced without having to pay any royalties because another maker of 1:64 cars (M2 Machines? Can't quite recall) made a Ford Maverick with this paint scheme (I've been looking everywhere, but can't find any for sale). This is really the only complaint I have about an otherwise awesome product from Greenlight. Well, that and the 1:24 version mismatching the real car in a couple ways, but let's not discuss that. lol
The first batch had lots of paint issues and door gap issues etc the reason given was rushing production through before Chinese New year the second run was much better or the version in the clear window box
If anyone ever buys this model just enquire that's it's not from that initial first run of cars they have all sorts paint issues etc I had one from that lot and wasn't happy then purchased from the second run was much better and then purchased the version in the clear window box and still better quality than that initial first run of car's
@@Pedal2Metal_on_TH-cam yes that's true the newer cheaper ones don't have the faults that first lot had it , was apparently because the models were rushed out of factories in China in time for the Chinese New year so quality standards were not what they should have been

Big bopper was an xa falcon not an xb good luck with the changes on the tail lights and grill

Have you checked out Nightrider's HQ Monaro from DDA?
I have 2 and both have paint defects. Not sure if the North American release will have QC improvements on the paint / decals.

They do have it in 1:64 but it's paired with another car I can't remember which are they are very expensive for 1:64

The upper portion of your passenger door appears slightly bent downward. Is it?
I wouldn't doubt it tbh... The quality control is awful on this one.
