Hate it when that happens, I think you should of sanded the edge of the old paint before the bin ,unless your just going to fill the edge out after the bin ,all up to each ones choice tho ,keep up the good work
@@idi0tdetectioninprogress I agree. I also think it’s a shame that plasterers don’t tell clients about it either. Or they say it needs a coat of PVA which is completely wrong information.
@@nataliehayden8330 touch it up with the paint first and allow it to dry, then repaint the wall in two coats as normal. This just means the filler has had an extra coat

@@nigel8820 it wasn’t bin it’s PeelStop, that binds the edges back to the surface. It’s then all sealed, and all edges filled then sanded
Sometimes its how its polished by the plasterer. I've seen this done by the book mist coat and its not keyed to the plaster.
@@bunabuna9287 yeah sometimes if it’s looking a bit too polished I’ll rub it over first with a fine grit
Its mind bending that mist coating still seems to be a dark art. What on earth is wrong with people.

So after you used the Gardz over the entire wall, do you still need to apply a mist coat?
@@kritsonthebeat no, the Gardz does the job of the mist coat
Hi how do you stop your filler from flashing? Thank you for all your videos x

@@JoanneHayDecorating thank you for your reply. Is the paint over the filler neat or thinned down? Xx
@@nataliehayden8330 if it’s matt it can be applied without thinning
