The links and text in your description refer to the Legion 5i Pro. However, the Legion 5i that you showcase in your video is significantly different from the Legion 5i Pro. I believe that the “non-pro” version of the Legion in your video replaces the Legion 5i Slim version from the previous generation with considerably different chassis, ports, TDP, and a few other features.
yeah 100% the pro has a slightly better build and the 4070 GPU with the 16" WQXGA (2560 x 1600), IPS, Anti-Glare, Non-Touch, HDR 400, 100%DCI-P3, 500 nits, 240Hz, Low Blue Light screen
The screen here is fine for casual editing/creation but with only 70-80% coverage of DCI-P3 and AdobeRGB, this laptop isn’t well suited for serious color work.
Which one should I buy? I need help Asus Tuf F16 with 4060, i7-13650HX, 32GB, 1TB OR Lenovo Legion 5I Gen9 with 4060, i7-14650HX, 16GB, 512GB Both cost almost the same in my region. Should I go for F16 with bigger Ram and storage?
@ I got it at Costco but if my memory serves me correctly, it expired on the 22nd or something. But I would look for the same deal to pop up over the next three months and then for her to switch to become the deal that’s even better for the M3.
It's all about what you intend to do with it. Legion laptops are primarily for PC gaming ( they're also useful in other areas.) PC gaming on Mac is still far from an ideal situation.
Tis not the year to buy entry/mid range gaming laptops, we need to wait for 12gb and 16gb vram mobile gpu's. The 7800M XT fits the requirement but almost no laptop on the market uses such dGPU. My hunch is Currently available 8gb vram laptops will age poorly and fast. Regular people cannot afford the 4080M (12gb) and 4090M (16gb) laptops... 4060M/4070M laptops only has half the vram of the PS5 while costing more than double hence the disparity for gaming economics.
Maybe.... It depends on the price and what resolution you intend to play on. Also of note, If you live in the US next year's Tariffs Will certainly drive up prices.
@@romanoonamor7690 CES showed laptops with 5070ti with 16gb vram, tons of cores for processors and 32gb+ ram capacity of your choice. 2024 was definitely not the year to buy a laptop but 2025 is, as these laptops will easily last 5+ years of gaming and more... Similar to those who bought high end GTX 10 series now is also the perfect time to upgrade for them including me 😄
I was just looking at this laptop today! 💻 ❤ thank you!

I hate that mid range is $1,000 plus
What do you expect?! You're buying a gaming laptop, not a microwave

Its at least better than my 960m 😂
And when this is released, we'll need to wait for something else to be released. As usual. And in the end you never should buy anything.

Lacking USB 4 40gbps is a big turn off
Great channel, much of it is either over my head, or doesn’t pertain to me, but always well done🫶🏼
