[Old vs New] Fast Schindler Elevators at Aryaduta Semanggi, Jakarta

- Originally installed in the 1990s and recently modernized by Schindler. Which one do you prefer? Note that the brand new M-Series buttons are actually push type, NOT touch sensitive.
Probably the strangest thing about these elevators is that they are quite small for a 40 storeys building, which is rather unusual for a high-rise residential tower.
*These videos were recorded by TG97Elevators and were given to me as the person have stopped uploading new contents.
Capacity: 11 Persons/750 kg
Floors served: B2, B1, 1, 2, 5-12, 15-23, 25-33, 35-39, 50-53, 55, PH (39 floors)*
Year installed / modernized: 1990s / 2016
Buttons: M-Series push type
History:
- 1990s: Installed
- 2016: Modernized with new fixtures, interior and possibly new door operator
(*) Note: All floors ending with 4 (four), including 13 are omitted due to supersticious.

In the new elevators, if you look closely at the “9” digit, you’ll see that these are (most likely) Schindler 7000 indicators incorporated into the older M-Series frame.
Also, I wonder why they wanted to lower the pitch of the multi-note chime in the first place? I like the original pitched chime.
Yup, Schindler D-Series indicators adapted to fit a Schindler S-Series frame.

They're braille versions of M-Series pushes. Most likely introduced in the 2000s.
@@idl3k_elev I have a feeling that M series was just the name of the buttons. Some have claimed that back then it was called "Schindler 700 with M series fixtures", which is quite believable IMO.
@IDTG200: It is. M-Series (or alternatively M-Line) *only* refers to the push buttons, not a Schindler elevator model or Miconic control.
I prefer the old M Series. I think M Series along with RT/MT and 310L are my favorite Schindler Fixtures.
I agree. The original M-Series are one of the best Schindler fixtures I've ever seen.
The D series fixtures (easily vandalised) are my favorite.
Wait a minute. I saw that kind of elevator at Hotel Mulia in Senayan when I was young.
Those are actually KONE (Traffic Master System 9000 model).
2:27 if you quest that chime is the old chime, that's actually the new one chime.
Not a bad modernization, but still the old one is good.
Same, the old M-Series have more characteristics than the new ones. I also prefer the older scrolling indicator than the new D-Line one. The new one here is just too mainstream.
And also me, I like the old one than the new one. The new one is rather boring and too mainstream
seems that shindler introduced new micro touch style buttons in the 2000's for the m series
The display looks a bit different LED. But the buttons looks very similar to old ones.

Why the Lift access card Can Not be Used?
Probably because the keycard reader wasn't ready yet shortly after the elevator was modernized.
Atleast it wasn't lockout when you are filming.
I wonder why the building owner would install the card scanner/slot like this.

m series, schindler 5000, s series and d series are my favourite
I like the schindler 5000 series, they are fairly fast, MRL, and well built compared to the 3000 series, but I never really liked the 5400. I don't like the Chime and all, although they are really good and efficient.
5500 is my new favorite mid rise lift from Schindler.

To me it''s like a slap-on mod of older Thyssen STEPMODUL (i.e. the fixtures with black square buttons) with the new European ThyssenKrupp STEPMODUL fixtures.
the new one exactly uses the same chime as d series pavilion kl in malaysia
You must be referring to the Schindler 5400. That one has the same chime (and has D series fixtures).

Why do you always asking me the speed? That doesn't mean I always know the speed nor measure the speed of every elevator I filmed.

Look here, if he really don't know the actual speed then don't beg him for answer! That's it. I'm not trying to sound rude but I'm just telling you. I'm pretty sure he haven't ride the elevators yet so maybe that's why he don't know the speed of the elevators.
and the new chime is not what i like
The new chimes sounds rather "lazy" to me which makes them boring.
Thats actually not that fast.
