Washington state that’s a big move . But I think you’re gonna be looking forward to their delicious apples. ❤ I hope everything goes smoothly for you, Alyssa and your kitty cats as well. Look at it this way you could go to Canada anytime you want you’re that close 👍🏻
It is a big move, but it feels right! & one of my siblings actually lives in Vancouver so I’ll be able to visit her more!! Thank you for the well wishes, hope all is wondrous in your corner of the world 💓✨
Alyssa, I’m on your Instagram since you started and we all are your friends and we all reached out to you when you had had no job and we all cared about you ❤. Stay strong and enjoy the change of life in a new state.
Awwww this is so true. Thank you so much! I guess I was just upset because they’re friends I thought I’d gotten close to & it proved not to be the case. But yes, all you guys on IG & TT really did support me 🥹💓
@@Alyssatheamputee I know how you feel. I had friends that I thought were my friends, but I was only convenient when they had nothing to do. So that’s why I don’t have many friends anymore. 🤷🏻♂️
7:30 I wouldn't let the situation with your coworkers unfollowing you get to you. I've worked at many different places and have picked up "friends" along the way. No matter how long I worked there or how close we were during that time (and the intense & meaningful experiences we shared), they disappeared almost immediately as soon as I left or when they went to different places. Even people I was friends with for 10+ years disappeared soon after they moved to different states. Maintaining friendships is hard, regardless of how strong your bond is at any given time. I was talking to my barber / acquaintance the other day and we agreed that keeping adult friends is too hard.
WA summers aren't as mild as they used to be. WA used to be the least air-conditioned state but I think they lost that title a few years ago. It's not bad per-se especially compared to other places but it's not a cakewalk either. If your new place doesn't have AC, which is likely, Don't feel like you need to endure the heat. Go get a portable AC unit if for no other reason than a good night's sleep. It gets hard when the temps are sticky and it's light out until like 10pm. But WA is a pretty nice place, I lived there for 7 years before moving to Cali last year. I may end up back there at some point but we'll see.
The really sad part is that tons of people would genuinely be your friend (like, from church) if 1) they knew your situation and feelings, 2) weren't super busy with their lives. It's hard to go up to a stranger and try to befriend them in this day and age because everyone seemingly just wants to be left alone. And thats on TOP of needing to have the courage and charisma to try in the first place. Personally, I have no problem going up to a stranger and befriending them, but do they really want to talk to me? Do they have time for me? Probably not.
Yes, I 100% agree. but, even with this video, no one has yet to reach out, so 🤷🏼♀. Taking it as my sign that TX is not my place anymore. & it's hard talking to new people, but I can turn it on when need be 🤪
Alyssa, all the things you said about the north Texas area are true. We have been exploring cooler areas to go to in the summer. Texas' loss is Washington's gain. I hope you find your people. Have you seen this guy? th-cam.com/channels/9EgawuMkA_5PJLnX8Qulxw.html

Take this move as a restart. You’re a beautiful young lady with a bright future. Enjoy Washington and all it has to offer Alyssa.
Thank you!! ☺️

If I lived in Texas, I would have been your friend. Since my wife has been disabled, we have lost all our friends. Lonely all the time
Oh man, I’m so sorry to hear that!! Isolation can be so difficult! 😢
Good choice- it’s stunning out here. I hope you land in fresh soil you can build up from well.

It’s good to see you back again, Alyssa the amputee.

Seeing you cry is heart breaking. You deserve better. These coworkers are just not realising yet what they will miss

You were supposed to move to Wisconsin so I could give you a hug and hang out with Chip lol. I truly hope this year is an amazing one for you.
I didn't know that was the plan 😂

My sister & brother in-law live in Vancouver! I've visited a few times & it will be amazing to get to go more often! & thank you so much! ❤
Making friends as adults is extremely difficult. I have the exact same feels.
it's so hard!!
Why? My 7 year can play with another kid for an hour and not know his/her name?
