Thanks for the video! I have an exam with library archives Canada for a junior ATIP officer position. LAC doesn't have a mandate letter or anything, do I assume I just look at the ministry of heritage? Thank you!
Congrats! Yes, you could look at the Ministry of Heritage, do a quick search to see if there is anything that mentions LAC or ATIP. It looks like LAC has a strategic plan so that would be good to have a look at. Browse through the corporate documents to see if there is anything that might be useful. Good luck!

Hello! I am not sure if you have ever applied to a Bilingual imperative position (BBB or higher), but do you know if the exam will require you to produce writing in both French AND English? Or are you free to choose one of the two? Thank you!
Hello! Yes, I'm in a bilingual imperative position :). You are free to complete all assessments in a single language and the language of your choice (French/English). But you will be assessed in your second language as part of the process through formal testing, usually after the interview.

I was shortlisted for a virtual interview. I am asked to prepare a 10 min presentation that will be sent to me a week before the interview. Interview questions will be sent to me 30 mins before the interview. This is for a prog. officer position. Any tips? Thank you
Congrats! Here are a few thoughts: If you are going to be using slides, less is more. Keep the number of slides and the words on the slides to a minimum - you want them to be listening to what you are saying, not reading (you only get graded on what you say!). Pay attention to who they say the audience of your presentation is for - a minister will only need high-level actions, but a manager will need more small details. Be very conscious of time, and try to practice ahead beforehand. Read and re-read the brief they give you for the presentation, and make sure you are addressing exactly what they ask.

Hello! Congrats on the interview! I wouldn't say that the Code of Conduct or Values and Ethics documents are necessary at this stage, they are very unlikely to ask you any questions about them (unless you are applying for a role that would touch directly on these! For example, something at the Office of the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner). Focus your prep time more on the subject matter of the agency/team you've applied for. Good luck!
Hello! I have not personally done the exam, but from what I understand - they basically just send you an Excel spreadsheet and ask you to find information in various part of it. If you know your way around basic Excel, you will be fine! For client service, here is a good site to have a read over: www.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/sc-cs/csc-eng.html In the exam, they usually provide you with a scenario involving a client and you have to say how you would respond. Good luck!

Hello, and congratulations! There's not much you should prepare in advance, these tests are usually pretty basic. They tend to test skills like - putting things in order (numerical or alphabetical), finding errors in text, basic math, reading a spreadsheet and client service. Just keep calm and watch your time and you will do fine! Good luck 🙂
