Me personally, I would love to see remakes of the story book games, I think Secret Rings and Black Knight had massive potential, imagine them with fast paced DMC-like hack-and-slash combat, especially black knight.
This, especially Secret Rings needs a remake cause my gosh the control scheme of that game is horrible! I really love the story telling of the duology and I would love that series to get a trilogy in some form of fashion.
Yeah, the storybook titles are honestly really good concepts; and very pleasing aesthetically. They just fall really short because of their mediocre control schemes.
If you imagine that for BK, maybe. But Secret Rings does not have a single bone of that in its body. That is like wanting a remake of Sonic 1 in the style of LW, completely random.

I love unleashed with all my heart but I would first like a heroes remaster. Egg fleet with clean graphics, maybe a cloudy fog/ high speed wind effect overlay, and level design to match the intro sequence more… 😮💨would be absolute heat
Heroes is peak and deserves to be ported just as much as all the others do 🗣️

I actually think remakes of the bad Sonic games (‘06, Boom, and even Forces) would be very neat. The concepts in those games (and 06’s genuinely brilliant level design) need to be re-explored imo. Remakes of the Adventure games would be neat, but I’d rather have the bad games get their redemption arc first.
I feel like 06 could've actually been Sonics greatest success if Sega hadn't rushed some tweaks to the story, especially Sonics some upgraded graphics add to the stages, and hire the guy that did Project 06 and it could be a great comeback.

I think the most likely candidates for remakes are the Adventure games. Outside of the classics they are by far the most beloved of the older entries but could really benefit from some touchups and tweaks that a remake could offer. Much less likely, but hardly impossible, are Sonic Heroes and, to a lesser extent, Shadow the Hedgehog remakes. Imagine Shadow 05 but with an actual combat system?
As for remasters? Gens and Unleashed seem like the most likely candidates, with Unleashed being in my mind the most likely just by virtue of it being the only 3D boost game without a PC port. Now like a lot of comments have said I think the story book games are marvelous choices for remasters. I have a hard time imagining them choosing Lost World tho. Between the fact it has a PC version and it's a game most people don't really give a shit about I don't see Sega bothering to put any more resources into it. Of course a new release of the 3DS version would be neat.
Among the 2D games, Origins is out so the classics and Game Gears titles are covered for now. Both the Advance and Rush games would be marvelous to have in either collections, proper remaster, or hell even remakes, unlikely as that last one may be. You could bundle Advance 1-3 and Battle together and then put Rush and Rush Adventure along with Colors DS. Two easy collections. The Advance collection could also have that Sega pinball game, though that may be more bang for your buck than Sega is willing to offer.
One thing I know for certain tho... being a Sonic fan is about to be expensive over the next couple years.
The three things Id like for an Unleashed remaster are tighter controls, quicker combat, and no sun/moon medal gatekeeping
In my opinion sonic battle has the most potential out all sonic games to be remade into something amazing because sonic battle felt like a game that could of done more if it wasn't on the gba
I actually would like a Heroes remaster or remake the most. That game is one of the hardest ro play as of right now since it hasn't been released on any modern consoles at all.

We will probably never get a Sonic 06 Remake , why would Sega look at one of the worst game of all time and the worst Sonic game ever and say "let's remake it" , and that's probably the same reason of why we will never get a Crash Twinsanity Remake , because these games failed even with the potential they had , at least we have P06
Sonic Origins games are remakes though, sure they look the same like the original ones, but they were built from 0 by the people who did Sonic Mania.
That's so far the only instances of remake we've had for Sonic. But tbh I can see a remake of SA1&2

The problem with not hiring outside developers is that it will divide efforts within Sonic Team. Kinda like how the dev team for Sonic 06 got split and half was sent to work on Secret Rings, causing progress to fall behind in 06 and the game to be rushed out. It'd probably be a better idea to find a more trustworthy outside dev team.
Now I haven’t played most of the early 3D Sonic games but if they are remade or remastered I just really want Sonic Riders to be one of those games

I think the argument you miss here is that they of cause will come to console Sonic sells the worst on PC.
Lost World was properly a unique case due to its initial WiiU exclusivity that properly contractually prevented Sega from releasing it on another console but it could be ported to PC because those aren't consoles (aka using a loop hole in the contract)
Beside that was Lost World when it was on a modern console already with the WiiU as its a port not a remaster.

As far as I know was there no clear time limit on the contract only that 3 games would be Nintendo Exclusive period.
The fact that Lost Worlds was never ported to anything else at least seems rather suspicious if it really was out of a contractual minimum exclusive time frame.
(Beside 2 years exclusivity would be rather short)
If we get a Sonic Rush and Sonic Rush Adventure remake, I will be eternally grateful to Sega and forever respect them, I’ve played Sonic Rush for 11 years just trying to beat it, and that game taught me to never give up, and though it took me 3 days to beat Sonic Rush Adventure, it is still an amazing game…
I'd like to see actual ground up remake, as opposed to just some remasters with an HD coat of paint thrown on the top of them and a couple of extra features

I know this is a hot take but I think sonic ost world needs another chance. It's highly underrated and didn't get to have a huge audience due to it being on the WiiU so I think if it got another chance to shine it'd do really well.
I have more fun with Lost World than with Color tbh. It's a good game, just not a good Sonic game
they better do 06 just iMAGINE. the potential this game had is so big fixing the story fixing the glitches and adding new and unused content like playable super sonic it would be HYPE!
Sonic Generations Ultimate would be so cool because they can FINALLY add DLC stages to play and further extend the games life. They can also add support for the current made mods out there so people wouldnt have to start over.
A remake of ANY 3D Sonic game (aside from Boom) would be AMAZING

Here's how I feel about the idea of Sonic remakes.
While yes I know we don't need more rehash games and I like to have new things (I mean I am excited for Sonic Superstars after all), I'm not too furious about it.
For one thing, if we get some remakes like Sonic adventure 1 and 2, I'd fix some of it's issues. Sonic Adventure 1's case It's couple of glitches, playing at least 3 story routes to get to the final story segment, fix Big's fishing controls (Like once we get a bit, I'd rather if we press a certain button instead of fighting against the fish), and make Tails's stages a little bit longer.
Sonic Adventure 2, fix the radar system in the treasure hunting stages, fix the mech controls, and put a difficulty setting (Especially since enemy placements can be cheap and hard for newcomers). And I would fix the controls in the final boss as well.
Sonic Heroes if we get a remake, I would fix the controls, and only get to the final story segment by just getting all the chaos emeralds and that's it. And especially the controls in the special stages in Sonic Heroes.
Sonic 06, like I even need to explain watch the fangame videos of people playing Project 06.
Sonic Unleashed, I would give directions better for the werehog especially since you can get lost and I need directions, and a difficulty setting (Especially since it's a very hard game). I would also shorten Eggman land into multiple different acts so we don't have to take forever completing Eggmanland.
Sonic storybook games, I'd just fix the controls and have it make you move freely instead of feel like going one direction.
And that's all I have to say. Overall, I wouldn't mind remakes. I would just fix the issues the original games have, so that way they can be worth playing. Besides there are some I don't even have yet so sure I don't see why not. I get it that people are tired of too much nostalgia and rehashes, but at the same time we can fix issues that the originals have in the first place.
I do wanna see all the remasters or maybe potential remakes from these games, but mostly 06 because I love Silver and I love Shadow, so I want an 06 remake but we already have P-06. So for the next one, it's gonna be Unleashed because it has such potential yet the metacritic score is mediocre, so seeing a remake or a remaster from Unleashed would be amazing as well.
The only problem of a Sonic Unleashed port is that they don’t fully own Endless Possibilities.

I see ports of Sonic Generations and Sonic Lost World happening soon with Sonic Unleashed being the next game getting the "Ultimate" treatment.
If Unleashed gets remastered, then I hope they remaster both the SD and HD versions of the game. Unwiished is pretty fun, and I think it deserves a remaster too.
If anything Sonic 06 deserves a remake. Beneath the terrible loading times and horrible bugs there is a genuine fun game beneath it. It's just something that as of right now nobody can experience.

All the early 2000’s Sonic games (Adventures 1 & 2, Heroes, Shadow) could definitely go for a remake, and maybe a remake for Sonic ‘06 too.
the real question for unleased as a port is how will they treat the other version (wii and soemthing else) to the main one (xbox and playstation)
I'm on the Series X, and yeah Unleashed on it is amazing. But the graphics do obviously show its age.
And I think it's better than Frontiers, really showing what a Sonic game could be with a stronger focus. Because it was trying to break back into the gaming scape after 06.
And I think Frontiers doesn't feel like it had as much potential at release. And these improvements far after release is no excuse. Completing Frontiers, it's combat, and it's cyberspace stages felt hollow.
If Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 is getting remade, I hope they actually sit down and fix the game...and remove that unnecessary Elise kiss at the end.

The one sonic game i really want to see remade is Sonic Chronicles: The dark Brotherhood. As trash as it was the game was my entire childhood and i still play it on an emulator as almost a yearly tradition. Despite all of its many flaws its also one of if not my favourite sonic game. Theres just something about it that keeps me coming back to the game that isnt just nostalgia.

If they would do SA1 and SA2 remakes, they need to bring the old cast to make re-audition to their voice acting, for example if they don't bring Ryan Drummond just for the SA1 and SA2 remakes they'll find to bring roger Craig Smith at this point..
Well I hope such remake of SA2 expands on the story and lore than the original did, like Eggman's relationship with his grandfather and cousin Maria.
Here me out: Sonic 06 should get a remake. The game had so much potential, but it got rushed out and was nearly unplayable. A remake could fix all the bugs, the lousy controls, and maybe even fix some of the level design. And hell, they could get the team behind Sonic P-06 to work on it, and maybe build upon it. If Sega released Sonic Mania, they could make a deal with the P-06 team.
The second thing I would like to see remade is Sonic Heroes. That game is pretty fun, but it's a bit weakened by the controls and hardware. With more powerful hardware, the game could run, play, and control a lot better. The only thing stopping this is they would probably have to completely build it from scratch. But if it's a remake and not just a port/remaster, they could put in the effort. The same thing could be said about the Adventure games, but those are already on PC so I don't think those are as likely.
Chaos X (creator of Sonic P-06) has said before that he's not interested in working for Sega, so if Sonic 06 does ever get remade, it will likely be remade by another team of devs.

@@SFproductions1 Well that SUCKS if ChaosX's thing is to make 06 enjoyable for the PC community only, cus there are Sonic fans who would like to be able to play Project 06 on there game consoles, not on a expensive computer.
Me personally, Heroes is one of the games that needs it the most in my opinion, since the only way to play them is on really old hardware, unlike most of the other mainline games that can be played on modern consoles at least

I want a remaster of every game that’s not on modern consoles. The handheld games would be great. They could easily just throw together a compilation of handheld games, from the advance trilogy and battle to the DS games from rush to chronicles to the two boom games to colors to generations and lost world. These would be great to play today.
Not to mention Knuckles Chaotix. Why hasn’t that been rereleased yet? Because it sucks? Who cares? Just throw it in a compilation with 3D blast for the Saturn.
Then there’s the Riders games, Boom and Lost World only on Wii U. They can also take these opportunities to fix the broken mess that is Boom. And Heroes and Shadow. People may not like those either, but they will sell.
And ‘06. It doesn’t need a remake. Just make it playable. Fix the loading times and the glitches. Just make it playable. I don’t care if a hedgehog and a human make out. I just want to play it without wasting a days worth of time in loading screens and get through a level without glitching everywhere.
Oh yeah, also the storybook games and the arcade games.
Why not make a Sonic Gems Collection 2? Throw in a lot of the simple stuff. Chaotix, 3D Blast, the arcade games, and maybe the Advance games and DS games. And the Master System games while we’re at it. It’s almost as if they forgot the MS games ever existed. That collection might even be too stacked. They could make a whole collection just for the DS games.
The biggest Sonic redemption for the franchise's history would be a Sonic 06 remake by FARRRR!!!! We saw how good Crisis City was in Generations so they have the potential to do so.
This is gonna be very long but personally I’d love to see some love for the “party/multiplayer” games but with added online features.
Overhaul for sonic shuffle to make it a more strategy based competitor to Mario party as I feel you could do a lot with the card mechanic compared to simply rolling dice.
Sonic battle or a new stylised fighting game with unique movesets and more characters, perhaps working with battles ‘3d’ levels to incorporate hiding/sneaking mechanics into the fight to help it stand out among other fighter games.
A new riders game with more levels, characters and possibly game modes like a tsr style team race or items on top of having to micromanage the fuel to make it a more difficult and competitive racer that could potentially have modes catering to casual and competitive audiences.
I’d also love to see them make a sonic rhythm game at some point as everyone can agree that sonic music is great and I think it’d be a fun online game esp if you animate the characters to show more/less enthusiasm or have them interact with each other and stuff it’d be cute and also a fun way to have all the sonic songs available to listen to whenever.
Anyway though if I had to pick a mainline game to get a remaster or sequel I’d be heroes, partially cause og heroes mainly suffers due to the slippery controls and bare bones story, and I feel sonic fans are itching to play their faves in a new 3D game and heroes provides easy opportunities to get the most characters into one game and a chance to see characters interact with each other more esp in less serious ways as I do think we’re due a more lighthearted game after forces and frontiers lmao
They will likely do the adventure games remastered with better physics and maybe throw sonic heroes with physics improvements and every campain will have different stages. The reason i think that is because of the sonic 3 the movie after is realeased like they did with sonic origins after sonic 2 the movie
I'd like to see Secret Rings done justice so much, but I honestly trust neither the official nor the unofficial sides of things with it. It is just too much of a unique game and I feel like everyone would want to completely redesign it into something completely else. There is no fully functional original to fall back on, so I am much less willing to put faith into a restyling personally, all you need to do on the baseline is map the controls to a controller(Which can easily be done, the game barely does anything fancy with motion) and adjust what does not work. All other needed changes to skill progression and QoL(also making egg mission+Postgame not suck) could go from there.
The keypoint being that they have to fix what is broken btw, it still leaves me in shambles how they did 0 things to Colors. If the original scuffed levelprogression(They made all the content they designed as optional mandatory to complete) really was too much to ask for to be fixed, then sure. But they did not even make the quick step not mapped to the control stick anymore. Bruh. And they did not fix that if you complete an act, retry and then quit out of the retry, you don't get your result saved, which as far as I know is not an Ultimate-issue.(I got scammed out of an S rank 1 or 2 times by accident and it sucks.)

Most likely the original versions will get delisted, in which case me and everyone else who bought the old versions of Gens and LW already can enjoy both(which is good, the mods can get pretty dope), but new players cannot fall back on the old ones without "alternate methods" if the new ones suck.(Similar to how the older classic Sonic-releases got royally obliterated.) What I have to say is that Gens does have one thing it could benefit from on an official rerelease. The physics-changes for Classic Super Sonic are unused by accident, making the form really boring. I don't remember if a mod already fixes this on PC, but fixing it officially would mean console players could benefit too. Of course, they COULD just fix it via an update, but that's not going to happen at this point, lol.

4:30 Well, er...kinda. I believe they were on Wiiu in some regions before that store closed(at least some of these games) and Advance 1 got a port to android by the makers of Sonic Runners Adventures and Unleashed Mobile...and it sucked as one could imagine. However, it is basically considered the android-equivalent of abandonware by the community now and got updated by fans a few years ago. Besides strangely breaking the timeline(Cream got a cameo in the ending cutscene), that updated version is actually pretty servicable. However, since it has been a while since I playtested it, idk if it is even still compatible with newer versions of android.

i dont think anyones talking about the fact htey mentioned REBOOTS, which i think doesnt mean for the series but instead reimaginings of older formats for games which could even mean... another adventure styled game
Lost world can get lost it’s so bad it got the wii u treatment. And we won’t mention THAT game either (sonic 4). Superstars is basically the main sonic 4 now anyways.

Maybe if they did want to rerelease the Advance and Rush Trilogies, the could pull what Capcom did for the Zero/ZX Legacy Collection, having both series represented in the same game with enhancements to the stages and the games themselves; widescreen support in particular would be HUGE for the Advance games.

I don’t hate Colors Ultimate. In fact, I’m glad it exists so I can play Colors on my Switch. Although, the state it released in was horrendous and even after all of the patches, it’s still full of glitches. If we were to get future ports/remasters of older games, I would hope that they would be developed in house at SEGA with Sonic Team. Or even DIMPS since they’ve had a track record with developing Sonic games. We don’t need another Colors Ultimate fiasco.
i don't think that Sonic unleashed would get a remake or remaster now that it got the 60fps patch on xbox series x, but it should definitely get a pc, ps5, and switch port at higher resolution and 60fps. the game looks beautiful at higher resolution, even 1280x720 looks leagues better than the original 880x720.
People talk about bugs in Sonic Colors Ultimate.
Did i get the only functional copy? I had none and got it on Preorder.
As for the music? You can change to the original music in settings
The original music setting was added well after the game was released. And the game was buggy af for all consoles at launch I guess you just got lucky

When it was announced I just said "Cool. I can play it without having to pull out my old Wii."

I just want the dreamcast versions of the Adventure games given a widescreen,60fps remastered port, along with a possible early build from the beginning of the port to dreamcast to saturn or at least some screenshots
I would love a PC port of Sonic Unleashed. It's a game I really want to try, but the whole thing where you have to collect medals in order to progress makes me hesitant. I know that issue was fixed with the Wii port, but that version doesn't look quite as good. If it gets a PC port and people mod it to where you don't need to collect medals, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic Riders
I really want them to remake the Wii Sonic games. Motion control is just a trendy thing in gaming that didn't last long. People nowadays prefer pushing buttons.

Like the old sonic games can come out of Nintendo switch,PS5/PS4,Xbox series X/S,Xbox One.
They need to fix the audio in SA2 Battle too. That would benefit most from a remaster along with the graphics.
id love to see a heroes remake, but more focused on making the game fun instead of more or less porting it
heroes has a lot of wasted potential imo

I've been wanting sonic 06 to be remastered for a very long time.
All dlc for free,
Lots of bug fixes,
No slow downs,
Silver would have an actual decent speed.
I believe Sonic Advance got 3DS eShop ports, but since that's shut down your point still applies of it not being available in official capacity.

I think that SA1 and SA2 still hold up very well to this day. Just update the graphics, use the current voice actors and you're done.
Unleashed and Lost World just needs a port tbh.
Black Knight should have a full remake, updating the combat.
Generations should have a new era with Three new levels and two new bosses
But why 06? We already have Project 06, it just needs to be officially ported.
Sonic Riders Zero Gravity HD Remake would be awesome especially if they implement the Monopole system, imagine riding your Extreme Gear down those tubes with traffic high above the City below (when heading to Botanical/Snowy Kingdom) and do that for other stages in the game, I also want to see Aquatic Capital in CGI/HD Quality with the sunshine, shadows and water, I'm still waiting to see an AC as that.

Seriously, I'm sorry if this comes off as mean, but oh my god this has happened seventeen million different times and I'm getting a little sick of the word "confirmed" at this point.
EDIT: ALSO, I'd like to mention that any Sonic game that released from 2004-2009 is very likely out of the picture thanks to 4Kids.

@@SFproductions1 Well I know but the title and the way that you say everything in the video says that more remasters are definitely "on the way" which sadly isn't necessarily true. This is a good speculation video but the title and the way you say everything is very misleading. Kind of like the Sonic equivalent of the Archeologist (except with less of the blatant lies and actually good content in there)
Big irony in saying "people report stuff that isn't sure at all", then put an edit that has a 0% likelyhood of actually being the case. 4Kids as a company was not involved in those releases, their VAs were contracted independantly. They are not even around anymore, their mainbody died after their mediabranches either dried off, were sold or were simply lost to them selling their rights to whatever property.
@@lpfan4491 The reason the voice actors were changed in 2010 was because Sega's contract with 4Kids ended. But if 4Kids doesn't exist anymore then I suppose I stand corrected.
EDIT: Oh yeah, also who says that it's actually 0% depending on what the contract says?
