Referring to thermal imaging technology as "infrared cameras" is going to confuse everyone. Infrared cameras are commonly used for night vision with IR illuminators. Thermal imaging systems are used for detecting heat, such as spotting animals, people, or mechanical issues.
Ive got Gen. 3 White phos tubes and honestly IR cameras/ technology and Analogue tubes both have good uses. alot of people trash on digital stuff but honestly things are evolving super quick.

Most the digital stuff does suck but cameras like the Vayu HD are AWESOME
the modern battlefield has finally become far more dangerous in the last 5 years thanks to thermal compared to the last three decades. great video
