I read that if I disassemble one, I won't be able to properly reassemble it because of aomething to do with crush washers and tolerances. Is that true? I have two that are faulty and I want to try to frankenstein one good one out of them.
As you can see in the video the 5th locked gear seems to be freely but in this case torque between gear and shaft is transmitted via a cylindrical interference fit, in this way shaft and gear always rotate together. I didn't have the right tool for disassembled that connection, so I figured out the inside parts only whit automaker sheets. I don't know about crush washers, but it could be possible that something must be replaced, anyway I'd do it if I were you.
@@zoffio6854 Thank you for the reply, Zoffio. I don't want to take these things apart and not be able to reassemble and use them. Maybe I got bad information. Have you successfully reassembled one of these at home with no special tools and it function correctly? If so, I'll go for it.

Oh, sorry for the unclear information, I wasn't able to disassemble, and without special tool it'll be hard and it will be even harder to assemble it
Buy a full rebuild kit & replace everything. It’ll take ages if you aren’t trained on it tho.
