That's sad, Air China used to send the Airbus A350-900 (including the star alliance livery on the Airbus A350-900) and Boeing 787-9 to Los Angeles during the pandemic for cargo flight, even though it's a passenger plane, but post pandemic, they switched to the Boeing 777-300ER (but your still gonna see Air China, Boeing 777-300ER in the star alliance and Love China livery) for regular schedule flight to Los Angeles.

I flew China Eastern before, but on the Airbus A330-300 last year in June from Ho Chi Minh to Shanghai, connecting on the Boeing 777-300ER for the 1st time to London, both cabin are nice and good, both flights are okay, but the cabin is hot because there is no air vent and the weather in Shanghai is partly cloudy to cloudy skies, but hot and humid. Last year in May, China Eastern flew to Los Angeles for the 1st time on a regular schedule flight (I referring to the flight number, MU583, means passengers can fly to Los Angeles for vacation) planes since March of 2020, operated by the Boeing 777-300ER, used for long haul flight, but that time, it was a weekly flight, then at the end of summer and autumn, it increase to 3 and 5 times a week, and then last March, it increase from 5 times a week to daily. Lastly, Hainan airlines used to fly to Los Angeles, but not anymore, however, you can see Hainan, Boeing 787-9 flying over Los Angeles, but it's decending and climbing because it's flying to and from Tijuana. By the way, earlier, Air China flew the Boeing 777-300ER in the Love China livery to Los Angeles from Washington Dulles for a stop over to refuel, before flying back to Beijing. I actually miss seeing the Air China A350-900 at LAX. Sometimes, the triple 7s have some special liveries.
