    Hi there! Help! These two questions may sound pathetic but how to access my odometer on my 2023 CRV EX-L? Also, is there a setting that allows me to answer an incoming phone call by touching the call button on the steering wheel as opposed to having to reach over to the touch screen to answer the phone call? Thanks!!!

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for the question. The odometer should be in the middle of your drivers screen between the rpm and mph gauges. You can use the left rotary knob (the one that rolls up and down) when a call is coming in, and rotate it either way, and you will see “answer”, “ignore”, etc show up on the drivers screen, select “answer” and the click the rotary knob. Thanks for watching!

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the question. That is just in case you lock the car with the key fob still inside the car. If this happens “lockout protection” will honk the horn, flash some of the lights, and unlock the doors for you so can get in and retrieve the keys. Note: you’ll have 15 seconds to open a door, after that it re-lock all the doors. What you see on the screen is where you can click to adjust lockout protection settings. Thanks for watching!

I mean to say in my car the little icon in driver mid goes away if you turnoff the vehicle, and if that gauge icon is not visible, will LKAS still work if we have enabled in safety settings? I got a 2023 CRV hybrid last week and noticed that the icon which shows in the driver's MID goes away if I turn off the vehicles and start it again, even if I have enabled from the steering wheel in my previous drive.

    Hi there Nathan! Well I am finally getting used to my 2023 CRV EXL but I was wondering if you had any opinions about the wireless car charger. My Iphone has an otterbox case and the phone doesn't seem to charge consistently. I've read alot of criticism on a honda CRV users group website about the poor performance of the wireless charger. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well hello to you as well! Here are some thoughts on phone cases and wireless charging: older cases tend to not be built with wireless charging in mind, and in general either do not work at all or do work, but poorly. I had to change my phone case to one built to use wireless charging to get mine to charge. Since I have made that change, I have had no issues charging wirelessly not only in the CRV but all other cars that we review. My best suggestion is look for another case that will support wireless charging (it should say supports wireless charging in the description of the case). Now if you’re case said it supported wireless charging then you’re looking, in all likelihood, at a fault with the vehicles wireless charging system. However, I think (could be wrong) that many folks have older phone cases and wireless charging is a relatively new item, so I think in many cases if they would just get a new case (one in which the description says supports wireless charging) they would find the problem resolved. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Now that’s a very good question and the answer is no but they have gotten rid of the buttons you use to be able to click on to set it. So…the day night mode is now controlled by whether or not you have your lights on ….and the dash brightness is set to mid-range. Then, if your headlights are on, it switches to night mode, turn your lights off and it switches back to day mode. Not bright or dark enough, then you need to manually adjust the screen under settings and display to adjust it. How’s that for a mouthful! Wish they would have just left well enough alone. Hello there wonderful Nathan. I have now had my 2023 CRV EXL for 3 months! I have analyzed my gas mileage and I believe I'm (only) getting about 23 mpg, doing mostly local city driving. Does that sound right?? Honda states that the car should be getting better mileage than that! Any thoughts?? Thanks.

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the question. The AWD 1.5 L engine version of the CR-V shows 27mpg for city driving and 32 for the highway with a combined mpg of 29, which is lower mpg than the 2 wheel drive versions or the hybrid engines. That being said, it does depend on how you drive, how hard you accelerate, how hilly the area is etc…These numbers they put out are sort of like, the best possible scenario, not always real world driving. But that is pretty far from their numbers so, here are a few ideas to try out and see if they improve your mpg a little 1. Accelerate gently, 2, don’t let the vehicle idle for extended periods, 3, try finding a fairly flat highway or city road and try checking your mpg there. If none of that changes anything I would talk to my Honda dealer and see if they have any other ideas. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the question. The front sensors are always on and cannot be turned off, they will start to function at speeds of 5mph or less if the vehicle is in any gear other than park or reverse. 2023 CRV Hybrid Sport - Setting up the Memory Seats/Side Mirrors - My #1 setting does not save my side mirror settings, and my wife's #2 side mirror settings seems to be the default when she is the last driver. When pressing #1 button on the door, the mirrors do not change so I have to reprogram the mirrors to where I need it each time. What am I doing wrong? Also, what setting do I need to have the R/L Mirror switch on if I want the side mirror to tilt down? Or is this feature not available on the CRV?

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the question. In terms of your first issue, I would bring it back to the dealership to have them run a scan. You’re doing things right and it’s not working. In terms of the second question, you should set your R/L mirror selector to the side on which you want the mirror to tilt down when in reverse. If this does not work, then your vehicle does not have that feature. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

I go into the number pad and it indicates that when I try to punch in those numbers, I can't because it is not part of the large preset list. Any way to bypass it and go to other stations not in the large station list?

Plug the 3.5mm into your cd player , sync the Bluetooth to the car, and it should work just like Bluetoothing your phone. So…if I understand correctly when you start up only half the dash lights up, and then a second or so later the other half of the dash lights up, if that is correct I would recommend taking it to the dealership to fix. In regards to turning up the dashboard lights, typically in a car if you hold that button long enough, the overhead lights come on, the trick there is to incrementally turn up the lights. To be clear, when you start the vehicle, all the dashboard lights should come on at once, not one side then the other. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

From there you should be able to scroll through an on/off or “back” option If that is missing I would think there’s a glitch in the system as the option should be there to the best of my knowledge. I’m sure it did. It can be unnerving the first couple of times. The best thing to do is to carefully read that section of the owners manual. Just a point of interest, what they instruct you to do only has to do with the automatic brake (so it doesn’t suddenly stop your car in the middle of the automated car wash) it does not say it turns off sensors. • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for the question. The 3 home link buttons should be either under your rear view mirror or by the dome lights in the front. Depending on your actual garage door motor, there are two ways. 1. For an older garage door motor, press the home link button you wish to program and a small light should show up in orange, then press the garage door remote button and hold it down (be careful as your garage door will open and or close during this) until the orange light turns solid green. Now the button should be programmed. With a newer model garage door motor, press the home link button you wish to program then press the “learn “ button on the garage door motor (usually it’s a small red square at the back of the motor). Now you have about 30 seconds to a minute to get back in the car and press and hold the home link button until you see the light turn a solid green. Now it should be programmed. Again be aware the garage door may open and close as you’re doing this. Thanks for watching!

I recall you showed in your video that the approaching vehicle alarm could be shut off. What’s really weird is your backing up when this happens, so if the fix above doesn’t work, try turning of your rear cross traffic warning (second icon from the top-same screen)instead and see if that fixes it. @TwoGuysandaRide  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SandiEdelson thanks for the question. Here are the standard Honda sensing safety features that all 2023 Honda cr-v’s have:
      Collision Mitigation Braking System
      Road Departure Mitigation System
      Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow
      Lane Keeping Assist System
      Traffic Sign Recognition System
      Forward Collision Warning

      Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Monitor
      Auto High-Beam Headlights
      Low-Speed Braking Control
      Multi-Angle Rearview Camera with Dynamic Guidelines
      So since these are standard across all cr-v trims you should have Blind Spot warning and rear cross traffic. My thought is, was there a chip shortage when your vehicle was made, and perhaps that chip was not put on, but the dealership should have told you that in the first place. Or there is something not right with your Honda sensing system?

    My clock keeps changing every time I start the car. How do I fix that?

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the question. Click on the clock on your infotainment screen, then click on settings in the top right corner, then click on date and time. that will bring you to a place you can set the clock. I would suggest setting the clock by gps, or any setting that will automatically set the time. If after doing that , your clock is still resetting, you can try resetting the infotainment system back to its default settings, but short of that, I would suggest taking it back to the dealership for them to fix. Thanks for watching!

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the question. There are multiple reasons why this may be happening: broken seatbelt sensor, heavy object (dog, grocery bag etc) in a seat and the car thinks it’s a person so beeps to warn you no seatbelt is fastened in that seat, you may have a broken sensor (check front and rear bumpers), you have an accessory plugged into the 12 volt outlet that is not compatible with the vehicle, lane departure or road departure warning ( you could turn those off in drivers cluster), your seat memory was set but now something is stuck like a mirror and since it can’t adjust it properly it needs to tell you that seat memory function can be turned off, well that should give you a few things to check. Thanks for watching!

      Not enough time to cover everything. Click on phone in the infotainment screen, click connect new phone and then open Bluetooth on your phone scroll to the bottom of your Bluetooth devices and wait for Honda to show up, click on it, then you’ll need to verify the number on the screen is the same as the number on your phone, click pair. Watch your phone it will ask you a number of questions about sharing contacts etc with your vehicle. If a screen comes up on the Indy screen asking you to Enable Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, click enable if you want to use those, click no if you just want to connect via Bluetooth
