Thanks for the comment. I have several great venison recipes on my channel so please take a look. Tonight, we are having venison tenderloins that have been marinating in orange juice, soy sauce, and honey. We love venison too!
@@willsreviewsonsmokinggrill6463 the only thing I changed was I used Great Lakes Oatmeal Stout for the gravy. It was absolutely delicious. The stout made it very rich.
@@tripplesthreat Excellent suggestion, thanks! Also, did you see the other venison recipes on my channel. I would recommend the taco soup next. Take care
@@willsreviewsonsmokinggrill6463 well…. We just had this and I had to get you a response. Delicious! We eat a lot of venison as well and this is a keeper recipe. We used chicken broth instead of beef because that’s what we had but very good. This will be made again! 🙂 great job and thank you for sharing with us. I’m happy and full!! - Tom
@@OutdoorsandCountryLiving Thanks Tom!! Please take a look at the other venison recipes on my channel. I am also a big fan of "using what I have in the cupboard". Take care!
I have some onion steak venison burgers I got from the processor that are prepattied and seasoned that I’m going to use for this recipe. Looks delicious!!
I made this tonight and it was so delicious! My husband and I really enjoyed it. The sauce didn't thicken up quite as much as I would have liked but all in all, it was perfect! Thank you for this wonderful recipe.
Excellent video. However, I encourage you to try a couple methods to make good burgers out of venison - IF you like burgers. For most of my life I did NOT like venison hamburgers and neither did my family. However, after making a few adjustments, it's now one of our favorites. The main "tip" is super easy: Add a couple half-cooked strips of bacon to your ground venison. Simply cook the bacon in the microwave until it just starts to let off some grease. Chop the bacon into small pieces and add to a lb of ground venison. You can add some onions or peppers if you want (I rarely do). I then add one egg and 4 ritz crackers crumbled up very fine. Season with salt, pepper, and a little cajun/creole shake. Mix well then make your patties. Let sit 15 minutes, then fry or grill. When you get the bacon-venison ratio just right, it will NOT taste like "bacon burger." It just tastes GOOD! The bacon adds a mildness and a sweetness that is much more like good beef burger, and the fat keeps it juicy.
Could you add a link to the recipe please? I don’t really know how to cook venison and need a recipe to follow. Husband loves it. I do not. Trying to find ways to make it at our palpable for me. Thanks.
I'm glad your video isn't unnecessarily long...
