Being in TN I will say that the people here with unemployment, in village also have more than average knowledge and know histories in politics. Every tea shop of TN will have a continuous conversation about current affair in politics. Though majority of them are very religious still they behave more respected towards our brother of other religion.

But recent days these thoughts of being tolerant which is the core nature of Hinduism slowly diminishing and people switch to other religions for many reasons such as poverty, health, personal problems and so on. But I always felt that I came out more dumber after watching the news. The heightened dramatic music; angry fast speaking presenters; panel discussions with 10 talking heads that devolves into shouting match; non-stop vilification of minorities, China, and Pakistan; obsession with celebrities; totally fabricated or silly or sensational news stories that insults common sense and decency; little or no discussion of policy issues; national news medias don't seem interested in covering important regional issues, which are instead picked up by international news media. The list is very long. Everything feels calculated to make people not THINK but rather FEEL a sense of fear, threat, and persecution. I would like to thank Akash and the team for making the politics of India more understandable even to a complete outsider like me.

Where are the regional parties ? Only in TN . In Kerala it is CPM, Karnataka it is BJP, in Andhra YSR Congress ( which was just a break out of Congress few years back), in Telangana too till 2012 it was Congress only. All these regional parties were always in ally with Centre.

As someone who has lived in both Chennai and Hyderbad, I really respect how they hold their states like forts. On the other hand, Bengal has been invaded too many times by different people and we have accepted many changes they brought with open arms. In the process we have lost a lot of ourselves. I wish we were a bit more like the south, especially Chennai, where they preserve their authenticity at all costs.

Hello i am from Telangana and in the leadership of the TRS government we have seen an all round development in our state. We here have no interest in politics of changing names and not delivering the promises made by the government.
Let me make u cautious about one very important thing .. Please don't use a non BJP govt as an instrument of Islamisation. That was the biggest mistakes done by Muslims of Hindi belt. See, both the Islam and Hindutwa are doctrinated communal forces. So only way to prevent is to develop affinity and be respectful to local culture. In North, especially in Hindi belt Muslim tried to use Congress rule to spread Islam , what happened in reaction was it completely united all non Muslim under a very lethal communal unit called Hindutwa. Had the Muslims in Hindi belt been repectful to the local culture ( which was NOT HINDUISM), language ( like Bhojpuri, Awdhi, Gujarati, Marathi, Santhali, rajsthani) and culture ( local customs , clothes , foods etc) Hindutwa and BJP would have never flourished in North India too. Why am I saying this is, in Telengana people are observing the same trend. Hintutwa has been rapidly growing as a counter for perceived Islamisation/ Christinization)... So be careful... Don't try emphasis too much on Urdu, Nizam, Islam etc.. Stick to local Telugu culture . Otherwise u simply cannot stop the rise of Hindutwa. And whether it is Hindutwa or Islam -- the ultimate sufferers will be local Telugu ( or Telengana's own) culture.

Religious identity is a kind of global centralised, doctrinated concept. The moment u identify someone as Muslim he would be more linked to global Islamic world and he would detached from local culture. The same is applied for Sikhs, Buddhists, Christians. But in India we should be more Tamil, Malayali, Telugu, Kannadiga, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, Hariyanavi, Rajasthani etc, rather than Hindu , Muslim , Buddhists, Sikhs etc.. right ? U can get a great example from Bangladesh who upheld Bengali linguistic identity than Islamist identity. When Pakistan tried to impose Urdu language and more of a Turkish/Arabic culture upon them and they rejected that and resort to Bengali culture ( which more of a local Indic culture). So more u press upon religious identity, like Islam or Sikhism or Buddhism , the local culture will be threatened. And then the people from local identity will have no other option than to consolidate under Hindutwa -- which is again a sort of global identity and obviously engulf and encroach local/regional identities. That is exactly what happened in India in last 70 years. So don't push Indians towards competitive communalism.

In the South India , the regional political parties are very strong and electorate is well educated, intelligent and politically conscious. Until and unless BJP Government at the Centre comes up with the proven credibility regarding the efforts of solving the twin issues of massive unemployment and price rise seriously, the chances of BJP in successfully penetrating politically into the South Indian states barring Karnataka appears to be almost bleak.

Recently we looked the unique way of protest by Kerala youth. They sit on lap of each other to show deficiency of seats in public places and narrow mindset regarding gender equality. If they were in NORTH INDIA, probably they could have been targeted by SOME "SENA", " DAL" , or "VAHINI " who robes saffron. They were to be accused of spreading indecency. 👍 I am supportive of their education and scientific feats. 🙏

I am an Indian from the North and I have Stayed in Southern Part of India for 5 years so here is my Analysis:- 1) Language- People those who live in the Southern Part of India tell that they don't Speak but they Breathe their Language , they are very sensitive to their Language and are not very open to speak Hindi (Majority of them). 2) Caste System- Yes you heard it Right Caste System is very Dominant in Southern India ( Especially AP & Telangana)and the Majority People Believe that BJP is a Pro High Caste Party and BJP doesn't Support the philosophy of Periyar on a Mass Level. 3 ) Strong Regional leaders - look at the history all these southern states had strong regional leaders ( NTR, MGR , CBN, Jayalaita, Pinarayi Vijayan). 4) Lack of Mass leader and Cartel Based Politcs - This is the only reason why BJP was Successful in Karnataka as they were able to get the Support of lingayat But Sadly they have not been able to Extend to Other Southern States as of now. 5) Growing Influence of Other Religions Other than Hinduism- Christianity is Spreading in South at a Very fast Rate Some People Convert Due to Greed Some because of The Rigid Caste System ( Please Note I don't Judge them on Changing their Religion and everyone has the Choice to Choose and Practice their faith and Shouldn't be labelled as Rice Bags or any other Religions Community so Shouldn't be Insulted) But this factor has made a Serious Challenge for BJP who is a Pro Hindu Party . 5) PM Modi Image- Here our Prime Minister doesn't have that Charisma in the Masses when compared to the North .Here the People perception is that our PM is an Marketing and Sales Guy and Best Friend of Adani and Ambani. 6)Education- look at the major Cities of the South they have tons of Medical and Engineering Colleges along with Many Private Universities Most of the Politcs Comes Down to the Medical Colleges as these politicians wants their vote bank to flourish and Take a Big Donation in the Name of Education. 7)Local Buisnessman Support- Yes Many of the Buisness here are Operated by the locals and they don't won't want the influence of Adani and Ambani to even have a shadow here hence leading to lack of Support from Local Buisnessman. The heightened dramatic music; angry fast speaking presenters; panel discussions with 10 talking heads that devolves into shouting match; non-stop vilification of minorities, China, and Pakistan; obsession with celebrities; totally fabricated or silly or sensational news stories that insults common sense and decency; little or no discussion of policy issues; national news medias don't seem interested in covering important regional issues, which are instead picked up by international news media. The list is very long. Everything feels calculated to make people not THINK but rather FEEL a sense of fear, threat, and persecution. I would like to thank Akash and the team for making the politics of India more understandable even to a complete outsider like me.

As someone who has lived in both Chennai and Hyderbad, I really respect how they hold their states like forts. On the other hand, Bengal has been invaded too many times by different people and we have accepted many changes they brought with open arms. In the process we have lost a lot of ourselves. Hello i am from Telangana and in the leadership of the TRS government we have seen an all round development in our state. We here have no interest in politics of changing names and not delivering the promises made by the government.
Let me make u cautious about one very important thing .. Please don't use a non BJP govt as an instrument of Islamisation. That was the biggest mistakes done by Muslims of Hindi belt.
See, both the Islam and Hindutwa are doctrinated communal forces. So only way to prevent is to develop affinity and be respectful to local culture.
In North, especially in Hindi belt Muslim tried to use Congress rule to spread Islam , what happened in reaction was it completely united all non Muslim under a very lethal communal unit called Hindutwa.
Had the Muslims in Hindi belt been repectful to the local culture ( which was NOT HINDUISM), language ( like Bhojpuri, Awdhi, Gujarati, Marathi, Santhali, rajsthani) and culture ( local customs , clothes , foods etc) Hindutwa and BJP would have never flourished in North India too.
Why am I saying this is, in Telengana people are observing the same trend. Hintutwa has been rapidly growing as a counter for perceived Islamisation/ Christinization)...
So be careful... Don't try emphasis too much on Urdu, Nizam, Islam etc.. Stick to local Telugu culture . Otherwise u simply cannot stop the rise of Hindutwa.

And then the people from local identity will have no other option than to consolidate under Hindutwa -- which is again a sort of global identity and obviously engulf and encroach local/regional identities. That is exactly what happened in India in last 70 years.
So don't push Indians towards competitive communalism.

I am an Indian from the North and I have Stayed in Southern Part of India for 5 years so here is my Analysis:-
1) Language- People those who live in the Southern Part of India tell that they don't Speak but they Breathe their Language , they are very sensitive to their Language and are not very open to speak Hindi (Majority of them).
2) Caste System- Yes you heard it Right Caste System is very Dominant in Southern India ( Especially AP & Telangana)and the Majority People Believe that BJP is a Pro High Caste Party and BJP doesn't Support the philosophy of Periyar on a Mass Level.
3 ) Strong Regional leaders - look at the history all these southern states had strong regional leaders ( NTR, MGR , CBN, Jayalaita, Pinarayi Vijayan).
4) Lack of Mass leader and Cartel Based Politcs - This is the only reason why BJP was Successful in Karnataka as they were able to get the Support of lingayat But Sadly they have not been able to Extend to Other Southern States as of now.
5) Growing Influence of Other Religions Other than Hinduism- Christianity is Spreading in South at a Very fast Rate Some People Convert Due to Greed Some because of The Rigid Caste System ( Please Note I don't Judge them on Changing their Religion and everyone has the Choice to Choose and Practice their faith and Shouldn't be labelled as Rice Bags or any other Religions Community so Shouldn't be Insulted) But this factor has made a Serious Challenge for BJP who is a Pro Hindu Party .
5) PM Modi Image- Here our Prime Minister doesn't have that Charisma in the Masses when compared to the North .Here the People perception is that our PM is an Marketing and Sales Guy and Best Friend of Adani and Ambani.
6)Education- look at the major Cities of the South they have tons of Medical and Engineering Colleges along with Many Private Universities
Most of the Politcs Comes Down to the Medical Colleges as these politicians wants their vote bank to flourish and Take a Big Donation in the Name of Education.
7)Local Buisnessman Support- Yes Many of the Buisness here are Operated by the locals and they don't won't want the influence of Adani and Ambani to even have a shadow here hence leading to lack of Support from Local Buisnessman.
Please Note I don't think they are South Indians or I am an North Indian we are Indians Belonging to Different Parts of Our Beautiful country 🇮🇳 🇮🇳Jai Hind !
