Phrompong is a nice area. I’m not sure how long you’ve signed up for the room, but it seems a bit small. When you have time to explore, you should take the MRT to the end of the line and check out the condos there-they might offer more space than your current one. Welcome to Thailand!

I am in Hawaii. Things are not so great due to the economic problems in other states but the problem sgot brought over to Hawaii. Not so pleasant walking around as Hawaii used to be. Wish I were in Bkk as well.
Yes we were in Hawaii exactly a year ago and we've been multiple times before that. There are a lot of issues for sure and it seems like it's getting worse! I hope it improves for you!
It does if you stay for at least one month. Stays for less than a month are not allowed and there are signs in the lobby stating that in a threatening way!
Bangkok is manic and hectic 24/7 and an overwhelming place to be with so much going on……. I chose something a little less chaotic. An ocean view luxury condo in jomtien……. Hopefully you are not paying more than 15k baht a month for your studio as over here my 35sqm 1 bedroom is 18k a month and a tad nicer Enjoy your new life, you will enjoy a lot more freedoms in Thailand than you do in all western countries now and was the reason why I moved from the uk 3 years ago, not to mention the cost of living and lifestyle
Yeah Bangkok is crazy but it's what we were in the mood for and we love it here. We won't be spending our whole time here though and we'll be looking to live somewhere like Jomtien for a while as well to get experience living in other parts of Thailand. Did you do a 1 year lease? I’d be interested in your long term review of this complex. I heard some good and bad things about it. Also that Soi is very very busy. EmQuartier is my favourite mall.
No we will be here a shorter term and look for a longer term place that's a bit more space for us. We will for sure do a full review video, and yes it's very busy but surprisingly peaceful as soon as you're on the grounds and off the street! pros and cons so far for sure
Lol, I should have done what you guys did, and make my 1st. debut TH-cam video. Had all our belongings and Jeep stored in Colorado, came to Bangkok for 2 months, hoping that we could stay longer, which we might if we can get a job in the U.S. after these 2 months. Unfortunately Thailand currently doesn't have laws in place that allow us to get jobs here, so I'm hoping to find a remote job at some point and stay here for much longer. What's your digital nomad income making plans? Please teach me the way lol. Thanks a bunch 🙏
We don't have a lot of income sources so far, other than youtube and some freelance editing jobs for other youtube channels. Hopefully it works out for you!
