Hi Chooch, thanks for posting. I can now relive my first EUC race mistakes forever! For those asking, I am the rider who spun out just past the hair pin turn. The course changed for the finals to include the log drop deep descent. I didn't realize we would still do the short section that brings you up the terrain park in reverse direction. When I saw chooch drop in that trail, I thought he made a mistake. The marker was flapping on the ground, so I kept going. Because of my "Senior e-Moment(R)" I'll never know if I could have earned the podium spot along with my Son and good friend, Chance. Amazing experience and Lesson learned for the next ones... and since we're adding categories, how about Over 50 !
This looks ultra fun! It's my dream to get enough gear together and stuff to race in the future. I would probably bust my ass if I tried something like this right now lol
nah this is real enduro racing, I like this format. Next one needs to be 15 laps! Yeww! Loved this style, wouldnt change a thing. Just want riders to learn to pass properly. You gotta wait for an opportunity or your opponent to make a mistake if the course is narrow, not run them over lol
I want to put something together a race in the Alps ; but more like a MTB enduro (1 start every 30s) , over a day, 6 or 7 timed specials mixing all kind of terrain where everybody can bomb, and transitions where you can just chill and ride with each other.
AWSOOOOOOOOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! THIS iS OFF ROADING NOT THOSE STUPID CRAWLING WALLS VIDEOS PEOPLE DO IN POLAND OR CHINA!!!! A THOUSAND TIMES CONGRATULATIONS!!! Love from Brazil, man!
What an insane race bro ! Must have been a lot of fun ! The EXn must be great for a speed race but I think you might have been better with your lighter and more nimble MSP on such a hard trail like this, don't you think ?
Hey man, it's Spencer from shredfest. I'm glad to see you still raced, even if you were keepin it easy. I still really want to see the crash video haha
It's cool to see this sport evolve just because of the introduction of suspension wheels. I saw it coming years ago, I was like when are they gonna add suspensions? Next I think they should add roll cages on all suspension wheels, and maybe a way to quickly attach a bike frame with front wheel to quickly mod it as an electric dirt bike.
I managed to ride one for thirty seconds by holding on to a wheeled trashcan. And then I lost my balance and dumped it. Congratulations to all participants! You are thrilling to watch
I was on the EXN no suspension the leaders were on the Begode master. That was when it first came out, the two leaders made this trail and practiced it weeks before the race. If I would have had a suspension wheel then I would have done much better.
Yea I was scared of being bulldozed over again. I was not even gonna race. I decided to take it easy hang back and film. Still got 4th of 6. Im getting me a master with a snowplow attachment for the next race XD
@@choochtech someone else suggested and maybe mention to the organizers that most races like this are timed runs not like boardercross (in the olympics, 4-6 snowboard riders elbow each other while racing downhill). No more eating dust, no more wondering if some inexperienced/rude rider is going to ambush you on a turn, you get to race on your own merits with nobody dicking with you, it's kind of the right way to do it and in painful hindsight I'm sort of ashamed as an experienced extreme trail/sports person that I didn't bring it up first. Now if you were racing on a legit groomed motorcross/supercross track...it would be 1000% a different story. PIR (Portland International Raceway) does Thursday night MX races and nobody here in Portland has (I'm still in physical therapy, rehab, so I'm not even riding my fat tad rn) approached or tried to ride the track there with a EUC - there are also like 15 clay neighborhood speedway tracks scattered around the state where one could run really fast races and clay is sticky (that's why they water it down sometimes) so it would probably be super fun on an EUC. Hey you could even do figure 8 races just to be exciting and stuff if you miss the danger of events like todays - it would just be more controlled and have actual strategy involved. What I just watched was akin to demolition derby mixed with downhill MTB and it was absolutely terrifying the entire time, especially as a rider from the mountains, jungles, and swamps of Oregon. I will reiterate - any trail type race here in Oregon that is interesting enough to challenge riders ride is going to HURT PEOPLE BADLY if they run it like this. You've been to some of the milder terrain at Waldo Lake, that is nothing compared to what you get at the OHV parks, Dunes, or wilderness trail system in the PNW. Also you need to wear very tough rash guards as the limbs that spear you and run you through you don't really see coming, by definition. They'll skip off your chest plate and rip/tear right through your jersey (and whatever meat it encounters, multiple arteries likely, and it is NOT a clean wound). It's the Ring of Fire, baby! People die when their GPS fails, it's literally that place. We need to be smarter if we want to do this for the next 50 years without offing ourselves.
also they need to run classes by weight not sex. Once there are enough entrants we'll be able to separate into other classes like non suspension/suspension, power ratings of EUC motors, et al, but for now, it seems to me that it's most fair to put people in weight classes because all things equal, your size is going to determine your acceleration, cornering, and braking - the bigger people that are able to get into the sport now because of improvements in EUC performance are going to be at a huge disadvantage in a flat track race given the same or similar performing wheel.
@@russellzauner Really? Actually, I think it's the opposite. Maybe this was the case before apparition of heavier, torquier, faster wheels like Master. At that time, heavier guys could use weight as an excuse for the lack of skills. Nowadays, heavy guys are in advantage, being able to access faster the power of heavy wheels, due to their weight. Look at the guy who pass Chooch, flying. You can see at the end of the race that he is significantly heavier than Chooch, which gives him the edge in terms of stability, acceleration and braking. You better want to say that smaller heavy guys may be in advantage versus taller, heavy or not, guys in terms of stability.
I dunno bout those leashes, I hope they're dynamic line, that heavy wheel flying off at a tangent could apply a lot of force. we were running the trails today on the V11, little over 6000 miles on it, about $13 worth of electricity used.
What a fantastic idea to use your knees as shock absorbers. I can see these guys being crippled later in life. This would be a great idea on a smooth circuit but not off road. I pray for your knees. Bless x

It's not his, AFAIK, it's just indefinitely loan because he was the last to get a prototype and they've improved/changed so much stuff with the S22 you literally DON'T want the S20. So to ride in a personal race and finish destroying it might end up with him buying that particular one - I am pretty sure that every person who took delivery of a demo unit had to sign some paperwork and accept whatever terms KingSong put in there.

@@FasTik_bisa Realistically I would master it in maybe a week or two.
