As a Glenavon supporter, I can confirm that we all sit around the Mourneview Park centre circle and take psychedelics while listening to Tyrone and the McNuggets

You've missed a majorly interesting fact about, The Oval. It has a intact WWII pillbox/ gunner post within its walls, in the corner of the grass bank. Great video though, enjoy seeing the lesser known stadiums in lower levels of sport 👍

The drone shot of Mourneview Park with the swirly pitch was taken by me. Thanks for the credit.

The Oval is a historic ground frozen in time. It and Bradford Bulls' Odsal Stadium are the few remaining examples of how people watched football 50 years ago and before the Taylor Report that were more or less untouched.

I'll admit I don't watch much irish league compared to some (compared to others I do lol) before Windsor got its make over I thought it was a far better stadium that should of had more cup finals although Linfield have always had that unfair advantage in that regard! Also yes the comparison to Bradford Rudby league stadium yes very similar and i really like that stadium too, I gave rugby league a bash for a while when sky first started showing matches and I much prefer that stadium to when they were playing in the football stadium as the football looks like its been put together by legos

Bradford Bulls are my club, not often I see/hear anyone talking about them. It was striking how much the oval reminded me of Odsal. He did a video on the championship clubs which features Odsal too.

The Recreation Ground, Aldershot, and Cappielow, Morton. They're very little altered too. The Oval is a great historic ground, really atmospheric.

@@manning0 I think the difference was that Odsal sacrificed an end for all those boxes. But Glentoran's is really a beauty, it has that rustic historic charm. Broken windows in the main stand stairwell, broken pre-Hillsborough crush barriers, grass growing between the concrete terraces. A far cry from any Premier League stadium's creature comforts but I absolutely adored it when I got the chance to visit last month for a match. It was a wonder to see how football was actually watched back in the 70s and before.

I love some of these older grounds, they have so much character. As a Cardiff city supporter, I miss our old ground, all of these all seater stadiums today are impressive, but kind of all the same.

Northern Ireland would be a combination of Irish and Scots from the 17th century. As you say Celtic rather than Saxon. I think what threw me was I was doing a google street view in Louthgall before writing the comment and the village had a lot of Union Jacks flying and subconsciously thought of England.
