You’ve got a great backyard! There were a few other trails I wanted to ride but didn’t get around to them so I will be returning again! Hopefully soon! Thanks for watching!
@@ronsanderson99 It's the highest point in the Los Padres National Forest. It's maybe an hour inland from places such as Ojai/Ventura. You could also get there by getting off on Interstate 5 at Lebec.
Sounds like you know more about this than me. Is Villa Park a city or just a suburb of Santa Ana? On Google Maps it looks like Santa Ana is the closest city to Santiago Oaks. I’m not from the LA area so the dozens of cities within the Metro area mistifies me. The key thing is for out-of-towers who know nothing of LA, to know generally where these trails are. Regardless of this mistake, wouldn’t you say the trails are pretty great…or not? And if not, please advise of a better place to ride. Thanks for watching!
@@ronsanderson99 Villa Park is a city. Orange is a city. Santa Ana is a city. All are in Orange County, south of LA. Santiago Oaks is located in Orange city, Orange County. I know that sounds confusing, it’s like NY city in NY state. For outsiders, consider telling them to just head east from Disneyland. I kid you not, just take the street in front of Disney and it will eventually lead you there and everyone knows where Disneyland is 😂 Oaks-we just call it Oaks here-is a great mtb park with varying terrains from green to black and it’s trail is connected to other parks as well such as Irvine regional park… which isn’t located in the city of Irvine just south but still in Orange… hmmm… maybe it’s us, we just can’t name things properly. But Oaks is one gem in OC, the other is Laguna. For a proper bike park around here, there is Santa’s Village in Big Bear just 25 miles east from Oaks so you could give that a try. Regardless, keep riding, cheers.
@@duyle557 santa village a lot farther than 25 miles. another confusing thing, santiago oaks is right next to santa ana mountains! those are bigger mountains with some of the best riding in OC for sure, numerous 2500-4000 foot descents.
wow, you in my backyard, Ron. Nice to see you show our local trails in the OC. Great time out there

Nice ride. Have you also ever been to Mt Pinos?
No I haven’t. Where is that?

No affiliation with LA at all. Orange county and wonderful.
Wonderful!
What does Santiago Oaks have to do with Santa Ana? It’s in Orange bordering Villa Park, complete misinformation. 👎
