Aunt Bessie’s the best. I started cleaning and eating them about 8 years ago. They truly are what they say on their packaging. I pray that God will forever bless their business to be around always.
I brought these aunt Bessie chittering for the first time and I’m so glad I found this video. I’m about to clean them now. Thanks so much and happy thanksgiving.🦃🍽 😘
I too have recently discovered aunt Bessies chitterling. This video I very true to fact so don't hesitate to buy. I paid a little for mine depending on where you live, but it is well worth it! Go out and get some, Quick!!😅

I love your video. I found these chitterlings in San Antonio yesterday. I have never seen this brand before. I look forward to working with them. My daughter is ready to eat some chitterlings!!! Lol
I always clean mine, squeeze lemon juice and slices then store in plastic bag and freeze. Cooking with the lemons adds flavor AND cuts down on the smell. Even though I cook them on my patio Or you can use a little vinegar.
I totally agree! I haven’t made chitterlings in years because of the cleaning time! These were very clean and cut down the time!!! You still gotta do your own cleaning!!!
I passed over these for some Uncle Lous chittlins...BIG MISTAKE!!! Don't get Uncle Lous... u might as well get the bucket!! Their product has gone downhill...so Aunt Bessie it will be! Great video...❤

Was surprised the store still had more they are normally sold out.I will continue to buy aunt Bessie when I can find her.Buy aunt Bessie chtterlings.🍒🙂
I agree with removing the membrane. That's what my family does. Also, using vinegar to clean and or marinade cleans, removes germs and adds a good flavor and smell. People won't know you're cooking chitterlings.
I am 73 years Old i being cooking chattering for over 50 years , And would help my mother as a teenager , the membrane hog casings you can eat ,it is use to make homemade link sausage when people raised pigs to eat.
Hey Grandmas Hands! I want to thank you first of all for watching my channel. That is such a blessing to me. I was pretty sure that some people didn’t remove the membrane but I guess if it’s cooked long enough it’ll be tender too. What brand do you use most often? I would love to get some tips from you. God bless?
Thank you Grandma's Hands for this confirmation! I was taught to clean chitterlings & was reprimanded for removing the casing! Miss Jackie, it would take FOREVER to clean chitterlings & NOT remove that casing! Lol! So while I was so enjoying Jackie's Southern Soul's review of these beautiful chitterlings I found myself practically trying to talk to the screen to say 'NO!!! Miss Jackie...don't remove that wonderful casing! That's another reason this product seems to be even MORE amazing!!' Their size, cleanliness & in tact casings will give you meatier portions!! And yes they will get more tender after they're cooked longer (I often use a slow cooker/crock pot or in a pressure cooker if you want them cooked faster. This video made my day, so THANK YOU so much! I'll be picking some up tomorrow, before the 2020 Thanksgiving rush!!!🙏🏾😅
I grew up with membrane on. I've cooked with membrane on and off. I prefer membrane on hands down. The flavor is night and day. I will remove the membrane if that's the only way to get a piece clean of course. With aunt Bessie I have never had any that had dirt stuck between the chitterling and membrane
Well I have to say this, when I was growing up I watched my Mother cleaning the dirtiest chitterlings and that’s probably why she always removed the membrane. However with this brand they are much cleaner so I too left the membrane on the 11 bags that I bought for Thanksgiving. I checked them more carefully so that I was sure to remove any trash and there was very little. When I cooked them there isn’t a lot of grease and it took them longer to boil down but they were good. It’s Aunt Bessies from now on.
Came back again to say I got me 6 bags for thanksgiving I can’t wait to eat them that’s why I’m watching videos because if people knew how good these were they’d try them
Hi my name is Bernadette from Philly and i am glad i saw your video, great advice thank you there a lot cleaner from from the brand i usually get. Here its $18.49,buying some today
Oh my goodness that’s high! Now if I had to pay that much everyone that’s coming to dinner would have to buy two bags each. Sheesh. You can’t beat their cleanliness.
I tried to get my Aunt Bessies Chit'lings and not one store had them here in Chicago. One of my nieces called around town. They were all sold out. That was for Thanksgiving. I went to jewels-osco today, (decide to go a week earlier so I can have them for Christmas), and the butcher said the warehouse was out and would not have them till the end of the year.I was surprise. I've never known a store to run out of chit'lings. So Jewel-Osco had three 10 lb red pails left and I went and bought them. BELIEVE ME, I did not want to take three hours to clean those chit'lings. I'm going to pay one of my brothers to do the job. He won't eat them but he will clean them. Next time I see my Aunt in the store, I will go on and stock up. I have a deep freezer, so I will be ready. Merry Cchristmas! Happy New Years!
Linda they were very hard to find for me too but Walmart had them before Thanksgiving now they are out out! Lol! If I can’t find Aunt Bessies I just won’t have them at all.
Oh my goodness! I found them and bought the whole case. So we have 11 bags total for our Thanksgiving dinner. I’ve already cleaned them all too and put them back in the freezer. We can’t wait.
No! @KJk are you asking if they are cooked? I clean them just to make sure that there is nothing there then I wash them throughly to remove any mucus that’s on the inside of them.
@@kjk7611 you can but if you do that i still recommend going thru the proper washing process as far as the grill no the texture of the chitterlings might get ruined 👎......and also i would just take the time to clean them because the cleaning process isn't as bad as the ones that come in other brands 20mins is cool....for a bag like that in another brand takes almost an 1 hour to clean.......
I love Chitterlings, and these are the best, when they came out about 8yrs ago, they sold for $9.99 then a few years later they were $14.99, I brought some last Month from Shopper's Supermarket in Baltimore Maryland for $24.99, so I treated myself to one bag, after this, I won't be eating them anymore because I can't afford them at that price, I don't have the Luxury of Food Stamps 😛
I am in Southern California and yeah they where 14.99 now they 19.99 here so a big price jump I got 5 bags that will last the rest of 2021 and nomore until they can adjust there price. And yes will be saving 1 bag for my birthday which is July lol.
Me too! I can’t wait for Thanksgiving! It’s my biggest cooking holiday of the year. We are having dinner at my house this year so I want everything to be nice with some great food! God bless!
Aunt Bessie are not really chitterlings. It's the cecum sack. That's why it has a closed end (sack). Chitterlings are open ended. They are thicker and cleaner than true chitterlings. Aunt Bessie is what I buy much less work and taste great. I will never buy regular chitterlings again
Aunt Bessie's are not real chitterlings! They take much much longer to cook, they don't have the thick chitterling grease and they are very rubbery. Will never buy again. And they don't have that true chitterling smell. What a waste of my money.
They started selling these at my Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. They were $20 per bag. I bought 4 bags and I already ate 2 of them in 2 days before Thanksgiving. I'm now cooking the other 2 bags for Thanksgiving. They were clean, and I did not take off the membrane. I will cut them with scissors cause they are large once you cook them.
I just got some at giant eagle in east hills on frankstown road the other day. They are 36 dollars. I got two from there and two from Wilkins township shop & save
@Steelery360 nation If do not remove the membrane, you are eating the lining that the sh@# passes through. NASTY!!! The membrane is the lining of the pig's intestine. It is where everything the pig eats passes through as bowel movement. NASTY!! Always remove the entire mebrane off each chitterling . If cleaned properly you will have an equal pule of membrane and chitterling. We were taught never eat chitterlings unless you see how they were cleaned. Would NEVER eat yours. Periodt.
I too discovered Aunt Bessie’s. However in 2023 the price for that 5 pound bags was close to $40. I had to rethink the purchase no matter how much I enjoyed them.
I haven’t been able to find Aunt Bessie’s in years. The last time I bought some the price was so inflated that I vowed not to again. I used to love them but now I enjoy chitterlings rarely!
$40.00! Wow! I've never seen Aunt Bessie's. Yesterday, I found Uncle Lou in my local Shop Rite for $20.00 for a five pound bag and they look very clean! I'll see when I take them out next week.
Aunt Bessie's are the best, the only ones I buy.Uncle Bucks not as clean. I still clean after they unthaw thier really clean and delish after cooking. In Philly $20.00 abag. ❤❤❤
I leave the membrane on also. Those were all the way clean!!!! Looks,to me,like she was throwing away some good chitlins!!!! (My favorite brand is Gwaltney in the red bucket. Very, very clean!!!👍🏾)
@@JULIE320T How do you do the bucket? I tried it one time and I was so damn mad and tired. I damn near threw it in the trash. It was funky and dirty too.
If your in the Dallas/Fort Worth are I have two 5lb bags frozen I bought 2nd week of Oct for $20 a piece to sell. Because of the vaccines, travel restrictions etc., Could get any friends relatives here to eat with me, so got outta the mood. Reply if interested.
I use vinegar to clean and I boil them 3 times pout that swine off three times before o season them I wash them like 5 times they pale but clean get all that bacteria germ out
I do not boil and pour anything out even once. You’re pouring the flavor down the drain. Now this is just me but I already know I’m eating pork so I’m not going to pour that flavor away just so that I can have bland chitterlings. I clean mine thoroughly and that’s enough. When you boil them and pour the juice off like that you are pouring away the fat and the flavor. Wait until they are cooked to drain the excess fat. That way you will still have the flavor.
Hi Jackie , I bought Aunt Bessie’s. I have never cleaned chitterlings before and haven’t ate any in like 10years. I’m cooking some this weekend. I read all of the comments on this page. Should I leave the membrane on or take it off ? Which way is better ? Thank you.
Oh goodness! I hope you removed the membrane. I made the mistake of leaving it on once and no one ate them. I know I wasted about $100. Never again. Maybe I’ll cook some this Fall and I will definitely remove the membrane.
Hi Jackie it’s almost that time of year for chitterlings! I love them, but I always wait to go home to eat them I leave that cleaning for my sister to do.
Happy holidays to everyone havent had chittlins over 20 years since my mom passed now I'm craving them nobody in the house likes them so I'm going to cooked them after the holidays just for me lol going to get about 2 bags seasoning them I'm going to put onion bellpeppers over some white rice with some hot sauce thanks for uploading video blessings
My GOD U gotta be "baaaad" bold Lady to do chitterlings. Though I was raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. I'm only 1 generation from Southern. And back through the 1960s, 70s & 80s my parents went through the same laborious task of cleaning chitterlings just like you. When we finally ate them they were ALWAYS on point. I haven't eaten any since both my folks were killed back in '86 up there. Except on 2 occasions when two ladies made some especially for me. My ex-wifes friend invited us over for dinner. Hers were ok, but she puts lots of stuff I wasn't familiar with like tomatoes in them- but still they were really clean smelling and OK. HOWEVER ON THE OTHER HAND! An ex-sister in law also had a dinner party for a number of folks in Florence, and she said, "I'm gonna especially make some chittlings for you brother in law bcus I know you missed your folks doing them". So after a Sunday Service at a Kingdom Hall we went over there, and as GOD is living in Heaven I tell u no lie; It was obvious despite her sweet sincerity, she hadn't gone to the lengths my folks or you in this video had gone to make sure they were clean. Before I even enter the house to see this treat, THE FUNK OF HER CHITTERLINGS MET ME AT THE DOOR ! I MEAN IT WAS LIKE SITTING IN AN OUT HOUSE.... Because she did take the time to prepare or maybe didn't know they were sitting in what look like gravy. "Oh yeah yeah eat up brother in law, I made them special for you". ...i was very young a didn't want to hurt her feelings so after I loaded my plate up with some of EEEEVERY THING else I put some on the side of a small spot on the plate. But strangely everyone over there had no problem hogging them down. WOW! after that, experience around 1991, I haven't had any or a desire to try cooking any for the 1st time. But after seeing your video, you have given me pleasant nostalgia of my folks. So I'm gonna try it. We so many in N.Y. that even a few days in the morning we'd have chitterling sandwiches for lunch or maybe with grits and gravy. They were good. Look forward to seeing how you'll prepare yours.
Omg three times! Brotha I do feel sorry for you even though it was a long time ago. There is nothing worse than a bad batch of chitterlings. That’s why I NEVER eat them unless it’s my Momma’s or one of my Sister’s. NOPE! Ain’t gonna do it! I’ve longed to go to the annual Chitlin Strut in Sally S.C. but not to eat the chitterlings just for the festival. I’ve never been. Maybe one day. I hope that if you do get up the nerve to try to cook them you will try this brand. They are worth it! These were so clean I’ve never seen any brand like this in all my chitterling cooking days. Good luck!
Jackie’s Southern Soul THE STRUT IS AWESOME, THEY DO NOT PLAY THAT BAD CHITTERLINGS THERE!!! MY MOMS NEVER SMELLED, IF YOU KNOW HOW TO COOK AND CLEAN THEM CORRECTLY, THEY DO NOT SMELL!! SHE LEARNED FROM MY GREAT GRAND MA AND GRANDMA!!
No Ma’am they aren’t already clean. They are just cleaner than all of the other brands out there. The membrane is never already pulled off of chitterlings. You do that yourself as part of the cleaning process. With the high price of chitterlings I will not be buying at all this year. You have to buy too many to have a decent amount for your family. Pass!
Hey Artis. I’m in South Carolina and we won’t get them until closer to Thanksgiving. As soon as you see them you’d better buy them in bulk because they go pretty fast. By the way, just because you don’t see them in the freezer case doesn’t mean that they don’t have any in the back. Always ask someone working in the meat department if they have some in the back. Good luck.
I was pleasantly surprised 🤗those were really clean!!I'm with you the membrane has to go, been doing that for years it used to be my grandmother's,aunt, sister they filled the bathtub up and cleaned 50 lbs the dirty dirty ones I I could find some already cleaned and looked like the ones you just prepped?I would so cook some..Happy Holidays🎉🎊🎉do you cook maws with yours?
Hey Renee! I love just the chitterlings with no hog maws but my Sons love them cooked with the chitterlings. This Thanksgiving it’s just going to be chitterlings though. Thank you for watching and God bless!
@@JackiesSouthernSoul I add pigs feet or tails to make them stretch instead of maws. Cook in chicken brother with 🥔 the trinity and whatever else you like.
Yes I did and that price was years ago so they are higher now if you can find them. They charge more in areas where chittlings are popular and in high demand.
This was my second time using Aunt Bessie Chitterlings. I love the convenience of hassle free cleaning, but I did go over it and clean them a little more but all and I love the hassle free cleanliness. I will buy a again.
@@living4christistheonlyway403 Yes it is! I thought it was just my City here in Alabama but to my surprise it's a shortage in many States. And I hear They wont be in Walmart much longer 🤦🏽♀️
@@bamagyrl0334 Probably not. A lot of places said they have not had them in 2 yrs like food lion. The meat depo said the factory said they had no help so they were not bringing any in. Since the pandemic the people at the processing plant not working.
I bought mine from Walmart in Greer SC. They are extremely harder to find now. Sometimes they don’t have them in the freezer case so you might have to ask someone to check in the back storage for you. I hope you find some.
Hey Gloria! I haven’t bought any since I made this video. They are hard to find sometimes but our local Food Lion had them right before Thanksgiving. They are not in stock anywhere right now.
Hey Lisa. I haven’t even tried to look for any this year because I hear that they are either ridiculously expensive or unavailable. I do live them but I hate cleaning them.
I’m seeing these less and less in Texas but they are yummy I love em they good eating get yourself 3 or 4 bags because after you peel the membrane off it won’t be much left but once they’re done I needs some hot sauce and mustard
Delicious! I didn’t remove the membrane from the ones that I cooked for Thanksgiving. I had to clean them more thoroughly because any trash always seems to be attached to that membrane. They were still tender and delicious and I had more in the end. When I buy this brand I probably won’t ever remove it again. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Hello there great video I also use the same brand I just have a quick question because I’ve never measured them and then after I finish cooking them it always seems like not enough LOL how long do you cook one bag and also for a family of around 10 to 15 people how many bags would you say that I would possibly need
Hey Wesley! If you’re only cooking one bag they still need to cook around 4 or 5 hours. Then check for tenderness and doneness! If you’re cooking for that many people the amount of bags that you are going to need will be depending on how much they love chitterlings. I bought 11 bags and I didn’t remove the membrane, but you have to clean them more throughly when you don’t remove the membrane. Most of the trash is on the membrane. You know they will shrink down so to answer your question, if your family isn’t greedy for chitterlings like mine is 6 bags should be enough. Thanks for your question! I hope my answer was helpful. God bless!
@@JackiesSouthernSoul thanks for your great video🙏..I try my best 2 clean them at least one to two weeks before the holidays yes, I do freeze them too...very convenient...Thanksgiving was my first time trying them bc the ones I brought was out and they were putting out Aunt Bessie's and the guy said these are cleanest chitterling around and I said oh okay (not believing him)🙄...(but he told the TRUTH🎊🎉🤗) and they were expensive $15.99 but i needed one more bag...so I broke down got it...it was the best last minute decision I've made🤗 ..they were so unbelievable clean. No throwaways ALL chilterlings and just a little water. I will be buying for Christmas too ..Merry Christmas 🎄Everybody ENJOY🤗🤗 and keep SAFE 🙏
Now two years later I made my first purchase of this brand and they are priced at 23.97🤦🤦🤦. The other brands are almost 40$ a bucket..... In Alabama 🤬🤬🤬
Wow! That’s terrible! I haven’t cooked chittlins since I made this video. This year alone the price skyrocketed and I think people were price gouging. Some places here were selling buckets for over $50 and $60😮 Never!
I haven’t bought any brand because they have been so high. I’ll make some for New Years if they aren’t Sky High😁 I’m the only one at my house that eats them.
And when you clean and cook one bag it’s not a bowl full $30.00 not worth it I was so disgusted on the amount it cooked down to I threw I them in trash I thought something was wrong with them I’ll never buy them again I’ll rather take my time and clean the red bucket I been doing for years
My first year purchasing them, I must say they are the cleanest! I’ve ever purchased hands down very easy to work with the only con I found is there aren’t very many in the pack so buy a good amount I purchased 3 packs and it’s only enough for 2 people just FYI, I will definitely purchase again going forward will just have to buy more thumbs up for this brand.
You must be a chitterlings lover like me. I do love this brand but they should make sure that you get the full 5 pounds of chitterlings not 3 pounds of chitterlings and 2 pounds of ice! Thank you for watching and God bless! Happy Thanksgiving!
I didn’t remove the membrane once because I wanted to have more chitterlings. Big mistake for me because I felt like I was eating poop! The taste was off.
2 1/2 lbs of meat and 2 1/2 lbs of water per bag. After defrosting 3 5lbs of these chitterlings my net weight 7.4 lbs. There were only 12 links in each bag the rest of the weight was water. This is a rip off. We shouldn't be paying for water. The chitterlings should be weighted, and then the water add. The water should not be counted for the weight of the chitterlings. Back to the red buckets for me. I paid $19.00 per bag for 3 bags of 5 lbs each, and my total net weight after defrosting was 7.4 lbs for all 3 packs. They were very clean and only lost about 1 pound after cleaning all 3 bags. I will never pay $60.00 for 7.4 lbs of chitterlings again. Why so much water included in the weight of the bag. SMH
I agree with you about the water added. I think you should get 5 true pounds of chittlins then add the water. Smithfield is worse! You get about two pounds and the rest is water and that’s before cleaning them. They are so thin that you can see thru them. I used to buy Gwatney brand but I can’t find them anymore. They are kinda dirty but you have more chittlins.
I can’t find Aunt Bessie’s where I am in the Los Angeles area. I would order on line if I could find them. Since I saw the first Aunt Bessie’s video, I’ve been searching for them with no luck.

@@JackiesSouthernSoul yes. I’m genuinely just curious as to why people swear that’s the right way. When I see people from different cultures clean theirs they don’t do all that and from my understanding that layer people consider inedible is the same layer used to encase sausages if the large intestine is used. It’s usually the small intestine but that’s a whole other topic.
They are out of season now but start looking in November. There has been a shortage since Corona hit because some of the meat packaging plants had to close. Then they raised their prices too.
$14.99! Some areas are a lot cheaper according to some of the reviews on other videos that I watched. The time that you save on cleaning alone makes me say they are worth it. The amount of clean chitterlings that you end up with is worth it too!
Jackie’s Southern Soul I know I have looked in other grocery stores And they were 7.99 - 9.99. I drove by there and you would think by looking at that place they would be 3.99 lol!!
Price varies & apparently word of mouth will cause some grocery stores to raise prices considerably! My mom has been buying hers at a grocery store in Oak Park, MI for $9.99. This will be my first year cooking chitterlings so I asked her for advice on which to buy & where. She offered to buy me some. She went back to the same store a week after she bought some for her household & they increased the price for one 5 lb. bag to $19.99. She said they’re so good she still bought me two bags! Wish me luck! 😋

This year here in Mi.$30
Good idea to clean ahead and freeze. I will be doing that.
I am in Detroit and they are all out here too hopefully they have them by the holidays
Go to One Stop on 43rd lake park
They are great. Used to take me 2 hours a bucket. I used to do 4 buckets on holiday's. Yes they are very clean.
I buy their rib tips, too. All products of Aunt Bessies is good. I cook in chicken broth and add pigs feet or tails to stretch them.
Great video!!!! Yes I bought them last year and they are clean
Oh my goodness! I found them and bought the whole case. So we have 11 bags total for our Thanksgiving dinner. I’ve already cleaned them all too and put them back in the freezer. We can’t wait.
So they're NOT ready to eat, right out of the package?
No! @KJk are you asking if they are cooked? I clean them just to make sure that there is nothing there then I wash them throughly to remove any mucus that’s on the inside of them.
@@JackiesSouthernSoul Can I just throw them in the pot or on the grill & cook them?

They definitely are a rip off now
I have never seen anyone clean chitterlings before. This video was cool! I like them but only if they are cooked right😊❤️
This was very easy. Had I bought another brand and it would have taken over an hour on those 5 pounds. I’ll never buy another brand again.
Nice 👍🏾 I also use salt and vinegar cleans very well
And baking soda
I live across from the Dorman Center enjoying your cooking channel
Well hello. We’re not that far apart. Small world. Thank you so much for watching my channel.
I love myself some chitterlings....TFS
Me too! I can’t wait for Thanksgiving! It’s my biggest cooking holiday of the year. We are having dinner at my house this year so I want everything to be nice with some great food! God bless!
Me too ❤️❤️💯
They are the best! ❤️😊
Thanks for explaining that. I could not understand why it had opening.
I knew something was different... is that why they aren’t as dirty and funky?
You are right. I bought them but didn't like them.
Thank you. I was trying to figure out what part that was , cause it’s not the full chitterlings/intestines
Aunt Bessie's are not real chitterlings! They take much much longer to cook, they don't have the thick chitterling grease and they are very rubbery. Will never buy again. And they don't have that true chitterling smell. What a waste of my money.
I love chitterlings especially with a sauce. 😋
Me too but I don’t have to have anything with mine. Just give me a big plate or chitterlings and I’m good!
Recipe please. Love you

I love Aunt Bessie's to hell with the Red Bucket. expensive WORTH IT!!!!
YES! You know! That red bucket is traumatizing 😂
I wish I lived in the South, so I could grab a couple bags of those. I would have to find a place that ships. .
I live in Ohio. Can you please tell me where I can find aunt Bessie‘s chitterlings? Thanks! Love your info.
They are out of stock everywhere right now.
Aunt Bessie's are the best, the only ones I buy.Uncle Bucks not as clean. I still clean after they unthaw thier really clean and delish after cooking. In Philly $20.00 abag. ❤❤❤
I live in Texas and one of our Walmarts here and Denton carries them but it’s a seasonal item and yes they are easy to clean I leave the membrane on
Here in Denton Texas the price is Just over $13
Hey John! I decided to leave the membrane on this time. I made sure to clean them throughly. I love this brand.

What happened to the Chilterlling? I can't find any, anywhere. Is there something wrong and they will no longer be selling them in the stores?
Hey Mrs. Jackie and the family how y’all been doing and I don’t eat chitterlings but I hope y’all have a blessed week
Thank you Courtney. I appreciate your viewership. I hope that you and your family have a blessed week too! God bless!
Oh but with this brand even a beginner won’t have a problem cleaning them. Remove that membrane then wash them and that’s it.
Where can you buy Aunt Bessie's chitterlings? We live in Aurora, Colorado and we love them but can't find them here.
I went got some how long do you cook these for ?
Good luck!
I will post a video before Thanksgiving showing how I prepare mine unless I get a lot of requests to post a video sooner. God bless.
Hi Dad!🤗👋
I just got some at Shopper's food warehouse for $16.99. They're $19.99 for 5bls everywhere else in md.
I though they already cleaned why wasn't the membrane pull off or is it optional
Pass!
I've been looking everywhere and I can't find Aunt Bessie's chitlins this month you know where I can find them
❤️❤️

Excuse me but did you say it cost you 14.99? OMG I just finished cleaning my 5 lb bag for 33.99. I live in California.
Yes I did and that price was years ago so they are higher now if you can find them. They charge more in areas where chittlings are popular and in high demand.
Aunt Bessie is always sold out if you don't buy them quick, especially around the holidays.
I remove my membrane before cutting only because it separates very easy.
Those are my favorite!
With Aunt Bessie's you have nothing to throw away really. You just skimmed through them to find rarely little specs of trash or grass
This was my second time using Aunt Bessie Chitterlings. I love the convenience of hassle free cleaning, but I did go over it and clean them a little more but all and I love the hassle free cleanliness. I will buy a again.

Can you tell me what are chitlins ???? I’m sorry I don’t know
Chittlins are the intestines of a pig.
If you did not eat them growing up it’s probably not something that you will like as an adult.
How did u thaw it out so fast
Two different bags of chitterlings!
So, subtracting 2 lbs. for the weight of the bowl itself, you have 1 lb. of chitterlings.
Thats right, I use my hands also
How will I be able to get some of these chitlins what's the address for Aunt Bessie to order some
I bought mine from Walmart in Greer SC. They are extremely harder to find now. Sometimes they don’t have them in the freezer case so you might have to ask someone to check in the back storage for you. I hope you find some.
yes lord!
Where r u getting them??
Hey Gloria! I haven’t bought any since I made this video. They are hard to find sometimes but our local Food Lion had them right before Thanksgiving. They are not in stock anywhere right now.
Do anyone know I can find a bag of chitins? I can't find them here where I'm at? Any suggestions?
Hey Lisa. I haven’t even tried to look for any this year because I hear that they are either ridiculously expensive or unavailable. I do live them but I hate cleaning them.
We haven't been able to find Aunt Bessie chitterlings in the Bay Area for three years!!! WHY???
Kelly you done did it.
God bless!

I haven’t bought any brand because they have been so high. I’ll make some for New Years if they aren’t Sky High😁
I’m the only one at my house that eats them.
And when you clean and cook one bag it’s not a bowl full $30.00 not worth it I was so disgusted on the amount it cooked down to I threw I them in trash I thought something was wrong with them I’ll never buy them again I’ll rather take my time and clean the red bucket I been doing for years
Yes I take mine of cause if you don't there still be dirty and tougher

I’m from Greer too
I’m in Moore 😉
Do you really need to remove the membrane?
I love em with Cole Slaw & 🔥 sauce

What’s your reasoning behind separating them like that?
Do you mean removing the membrane?
@@JackiesSouthernSoul yes. I’m genuinely just curious as to why people swear that’s the right way. When I see people from different cultures clean theirs they don’t do all that and from my understanding that layer people consider inedible is the same layer used to encase sausages if the large intestine is used. It’s usually the small intestine but that’s a whole other topic.
I can't find them anywhere
They are out of season now but start looking in November. There has been a shortage since Corona hit because some of the meat packaging plants had to close. Then they raised their prices too.
How much where they? Thanks
You enjoy!!!
