This is one of the best songs written in the 20th century. Ingo Schwichtenberg (RIP) was indeed a beast, the guitar duo Hansen / Weikath is up there with Downing/Tipton and Murray/Smith, Kiske was 20 when he recorded this song and nowadays sounds the same as he did back in the days but what rarely gets mentioned even among the hardcore Helloween fans such as myself is how amazing of a bass player Marcus is. He recorded this track on a fretless bass

Just saw them recently at the end of last year and they were phenomenal.
Michael Kiske still sounds like this 35 years later 🤘🏻🙂

One of the classic power metal songs from one of the classic power metal albums. The bass on this is a fretless bass.

I register here my memory to the eternal drummer of Helloween 🎃, Ingo Schwichtenberg (Hamburg, May 18, 1965 - Hamburg, March 8, 1995).

Ingo has died before Helloween has been even founded?

That song brings back amazing memories. That album was pretty much the soundtrack of my summer of 89. Good stuff man.

Amazing song and band. I fell in love in this band thanks to Tommy Johansson and his cover of this song, definitely check that one too. When it comes to Helloween, I recommend Keeper Of The Seven Keys, I Want Out (also covered by Tommy), Forever And One, Doctor Stein for start

You have to listen the Keepers-albums as a whole...

Lovebites also did a live studio version of this song with the whole band for their Awake Again - Live From Abyss Bluray/DVD. It can be found on youtube. Miyako also just recently (within the past day) started posting to her personal youtube page again. You can see her practice a song for the piano, and she captioned it with her thoughts. There was also an article about Lovebites live gear recently published but literally any reference I try to make to where you can find it is insta deleted for some reason. Try searching this "【LOVEBITES機材紹介】2023.3.12@EX THEATER ROPPONGI LOVEBITES 「WE ARE THE RESURRECTION」ライブレポート"

      @@silenoz666 Sorry, it's not that simple....by far...
There is a diffenrent (and older) definition of "Power Metal" around...
In this case, we are talking about "Venom" being "Power Metal".
In this case, we are talking about "Melodic Speed Metal" for songs like "Eagle Fly Free"...
