Brandon, it won't be easy but it is doable. I own a 2010 Vision Tour and have found a number of companies that are devoted to keeping the Victory lines up and running. The parts are out there and accessible. Meanwhile, I will keep your efforts in prayer. I look forward to watching your progress in the future. I am also glad that your brother is OK. Motorcycle's are replaceable, loved family members are not.
Glad your bro is ok. From the sound of the start up you definitely need to change out the starter. I just changed mine out it was making that same noise. I have some factory parts from my 2014 vic cross country if your interested. Original pipes, both left and right saddlebag lids, original seat, aftermarket 5.25 infinity kappa speakers for the front, and a couple of other parts in my garage.
Happy to know that your brother was not hurt. I have to admire your ability to take a pile of parts and turn it into a mechanical work of art! You should be proud! So will your brother when you're finished! Question. What's with the rubber duck?
Great stuff as always. One suggestion from an old guy, old school mechanic. Invest in milwaukee cordless tools. I would recommend the 3/8 impact and the ratchet. Both pack plenty of power for cordless and they will 100% cut your tear down times by half. Fun build to watch.
I would try getting as much parts as can from motorcycle junkyards/recyclers/salvage yards, you might find nearly All you need, also a time to consider some Customizations.... Good luck for your Bro, he's got you for a Bro.....
They are. As Indian. The Indian name and more traditional (Harley looking) bikes sold better. People talk crap about traditional American cruisers and tourers. But that’s what people buy.
IF that bar had not snapped where it did, you would probably have a twisted frame. That is a good failure. It would have had some major force on that point otherwise. Nice job taking it methodically. I think the bike either spun around or the tow truck pulled it backwards to get the mud in the exhaust pipe.
Oh Wow, through connecting with you I was supposed to meet up with James a couple of years ago at the lone star rally in Galveston. I am glad to hear he is okay.
@BrandonBicasso I can and want to help. I have others in my Victory owners group that want to help too. How do I contact you directly? I emailed you on the website attached to this video.
Aftermarket headers and mufflers. Use some classic style Indian saddle bags. Go in through fuel pump opening and see if you can push out most of the dent. And hit E Bay
i sure am interested in how that bike got so jacked up and your brother walked away 100%. Thank God he did not get hurt. I think i would have to just total it.
Blessings your brothers fine, safe and healthy. As you know I'm no expert and cannot offer any mechanical advice. I do offer prayer, so you have the strength. I love to watch the progress.
Looked like my (earlier) wrecked Hayabusa when a bad car driver did a left turn in front of me in low speed. I was lucky that day and the bike only needed new fairings and some other smaller stuff to get back on the road. Take care. 👍
I was literally just putting my friend Todd’s dad’s bike (Magnum X1) back together. He passed away with the front fairing off. I had to essentially reverse engineer it to get it back together. I somehow missed this video which would have been real helpful. I did exactly the same with the battery, with a jump pack. But the battery is KO.
@@BrandonBicasso I can see his point on not his style also. Bobbers and Cafe racers are nice but not the best for longer rides. Great videos keep it up. You will turn it into an amazing bike.
Such a sharp bike. I just totaled my roadmaster done been all over the country had stickers for everywhere that bike has been hate it’s done. But at least I’m still here gonna get another one and start over it’ll be fun. Was laying in the hospital buying parts for my old softail to ride till I find my next bike. Estimate on that bike is more than I paid for it. But this one yeah it needs fixed I love the color and was my dream bike till Polaris done away with it.
As a '16 Magnum owner I'm looking forward to watching this build. I'd like to see it back to original but if you start with a frame and engine the options are endless. Good luck. / p.s. I have a couple of windshields your welcome to.
I'll be curious to see how easy it is to track down parts for this and at what cost. These are one of the few Batwings I actually dig. Glad your brother is okay
I think you should try to install one of those Baja Design Lp6 headlights on this beast. I’m looking everywhere to see if anyone has done it on a victory.
@Brandon Bicasso Good to know James is ok. Heart breaking! One of my favorites and on my dream list - Habanero Inferno Orange Victory Magnum. Did you get a line on a Victory Magnum shop/service manual. If not, I found a couple options, LMK.
Bike looks totaled man. Too bad. Glad your brother is ok. It's why I always carry full coverage insurance on my bikes. It is totally worth it. Good luck rebuilding it. Guess the frame isn't bent or neck damage 😮
Im like 99% the part from in the fairing with the circuit board is the speaker housing. I remember taking mine apart and it having that crossover in it.
It’s a great question. I write what the bolts go to on painter’s tape and wrap the bolts in that tape. They’re all in a separate screw bucket for each bike. I take pictures of the wire routing.
Victory only isn’t a salvage dealer they are an aftermarket parts dealer located in TN. There were only three doing salvage parts and one just passed recently in an motorcycle accident. Mill City Motorcycles and Vicguy are only ones. I think Scott Burris took over Jason Camps salvage business after his passing.
If you try to rebuild it to it's former glory, you may get frustrated. I rebuilt my wife's VStrom to a whole different look. No more plastics. Doing fantastic!
My $0.02 worth on the packed in mud for now. I'm wondering if whoever picked it up after the wreck rolled it off backwards into the mud. Probably got it in their head that it was gonna be totalled.
When life gives you oranges........ build.
Awesome comment! Hope you get thousands and thousands of thumbs up for that one.

Good to know your Brother came out okay.... It breaks my heart to see a Victory like this. Good on you for attempting a restore, good luck 🙏
We def will get it back going.
It hurts my soul to see that beautiful piece of art like that.
Good to hear your brother is well

That’s Bartholomew. The garage mascot and good luck charm. 😅
A heck of a challenge before you Brandon. And yes, obtaining body moldings will likely be challenging..Good luck!

The saddlebags are fairly easy and cheap compared to some parts. The fairing is the problem. Been trying to find one for my buddy but they’re pricey

They are. As Indian.

I agree. If the bar was any more rigid the motor and frame would have taken damage and that's a real no bueno.
Time for a bobber build.
Got a Victory Judge, not a bagger fan, but that is a beautiful bike, love the colour!!
Scott Burris is the man to talk to when it comes to victory nowadays, he took over the business for Jason Camp
Oh Wow, through connecting with you I was supposed to meet up with James a couple of years ago at the lone star rally in Galveston. I am glad to hear he is okay.
Got an OEM cross country exhaust and windshield..
Welcome to the “ order of the wrench”!

Same. 🫠

Right when Victory had their styling down Polaris had to pull the plug
Glad he`s ok. I`m sure you can fix it. You can always turn it into a naked bobber, or a cafe racer if some body parts are hard to find.
Not his style but you’re right.

Very impressive how similar is everything to the Polaris Indian Chief. Absolutely the same DNA.

You, Mr. Ratchet and, Bartholomew
Break it on down!!
Hit me ugh!!!
Might just be the camera angle but the fork tube looked bent on the damaged side.
Yeah, it’s the angle. Forks are cool.
Yeah that was the first thing I thought I noticed also but also considered it might be the camera making them look bent.
I'll be curious to see how easy it is to track down parts for this and at what cost. These are one of the few Batwings I actually dig. Glad your brother is okay
I found some Facebook groups good for tracking down parts for my Vstar. Just be careful of scammers B.
Damn and he’s had that for awhile.sorry to see that.
Yep, 61,000 miles on a 2017. He rides the heck out of this bike.
best looking bagger ever made. hope you can save it
We will. It'll be even better when it's rebuilt.
I think you should try to install one of those Baja Design Lp6 headlights on this beast. I’m looking everywhere to see if anyone has done it on a victory.
Almost all Cross bike parts through most of the years will interchange.
I use Pinwall and Bikestrippers out of FL. a lot.

Nice one!Cheers.
Polaris has a cross ref list, so you input part number and it will tell you what other bikes share that same part.
I do have some parts from a 2012 plus my buddy has parts as well from his 2016 ...
Hope it's up up and running again !
Nope. Sourcing parts for an affordable price still.
@@BrandonBicasso I gotta XCT, man I don't envie you....hang tough pal !!!!

Is what it is. No frame damage tho.
For anyone who questions the effectiveness of crash bars, here is your answer barring manufacturer defects they do work and are worth having.
Im like 99% the part from in the fairing with the circuit board is the speaker housing. I remember taking mine apart and it having that crossover in it.
Yep, that's exactly what it is.
I have a saddlebag cover if you are interested. It's from a 2012 Victory Cory Ness Cross Country.
Oh man sad to see, good thing your brother is ok.
I sure hope you can find the parts
In the process of building my first motorcycle myself, you inspired me to try, hope the rebuild goes well and the orange peel gets back on the road
I hope it goes well for you too!
@@BrandonBicasso nothing to bad yet nothing jb weld cant fix anyway preciate the reply man
Go for it, you can do it. No rocket Science and your bike deserves
Your brother seems to be handling it pretty well, I would still be pissed if this was my bike.
I have chrome crash bars but you should get some Forged bars 💪
I appreciate that. It’s been put on hold until I sell some bikes to help restore it.
At least the bare bones of the bike ok great video
I don't know how you keep track of all the pieces, positions, and bolts. But I'm sure having a video recording is helpful
It’s a great question. I write what the bolts go to on painter’s tape and wrap the bolts in that tape. They’re all in a separate screw bucket for each bike. I take pictures of the wire routing.
@@BrandonBicasso 🤯 wowzer.
Welp, maybe your process for that would make for a cool video?
#runwithit
The surgeon at work,it would be cool to make this machine into a monster bobber, good stuff Dude
Victory Only I believe is the salvage dealer in the upper midwest area.
I will check them out. I appreciate you for the tip.
You should see if Challenger parts will fit.
Would but not in the budget.
Good luck with finding parts. I just did a quick search and was disappointed.
Yep, it'll be tough but we will get it back.
If you try to rebuild it to it's former glory, you may get frustrated. I rebuilt my wife's VStrom to a whole different look. No more plastics. Doing fantastic!
Bob it!!!
is that left fork bent?
Don't look too good from here.
Forks are 👌🏾
@@BrandonBicasso Mayby it's photo distortion 'cause it looks pushed back to me as well. Man... that thing has enough wiring for three bikes.
I dreaded what was coming after tasting the grass lol😂
I thought it would taste like Texas 🥴
This would be a creative fix....Maybe strip it down a little and go with a aftermarket Fairing/Shield...
There’s a starter recall on these I believe, and she sounds about due
It screams to be put out of its misery
Nope no starter recall same starter they've been using since '99.
@@BrandonBicasso Sounds more like the starter clutch gear, easy fix but not especially cheap.
i would be looking at salvage bikes for a parts bike.
What a shame, Magnums are such awesome bikes!
you ok .Thats what matters.
From the look of the engine guard that was a bad weld from the factory that made it
Orange Fairing in stock with victory graphics.... but $2004.99 ouch
I ride a XCT...this is sad to watch. But I would say that bike did a somersault with the dirt and damage to the exhaust.
Those fairings are gaudy, honestly would look better stripped down. Good luck with the repair
If it were stripped down it may as well just be a cross roads. The color might pass as "gaudy" to some, but how the heck are the fairings?
One of the most loved color jobs on Vic. It's showy, but Vic was known for its bright colors and sharp lines.
So glad your fam is ok but that’s why I traded my judge- parts
Ohhhh this had to have hit hard…in the gut…ughhh 🙏
I can help! How do I reach out to you?
it seems that victory parts pro has a lot of your broken pats available
🤑
Witch Doctors has body parts
I have a set of modded mufflers for a cross bike.
CHOP IT...👍
Are the forks bent?
Nah. Perfectly fine.
I have grown to highly respect the "ratchet wrench."
Hey everyone let's pool up and get Brandon a couple of UGGs duggas preferably Milwaukee a 3/8ths a half inch and a 90 degree impact
Haha, I'll eventually upgrade to something. Ain't nun wrong with a bit of wrench action. Time consuming tho.
Will insurance cover the parts?
Too much damage. It’s totaled otherwise
The heart aches. (sniffle)
Are any of these parts interchangeable with Indian chiefs?🤔
Anything is interchangeable with enough fab.
I can see clearly I wouldn't want one of those bikes, just to change the handle bars.... Nope no way.....
You are too nice. I would have made my brother help me strip that down.
He would’ve. He’s helped me do a few critical things on the Indian Chief rebuild.
I would just turn it into a power cruiser. Strip it down, fix the tank and ride.
You have prob seen the amount of Victory bikes on IAA & CrashedToys might be more cost effective to get a wrecked bike and use it as your parts bike.
Definitely considering it
@@BrandonBicassoI sent you some links to some stuff on fb. That outer fairing is an expensive item.
