- This is my personal 06 LBZ Duramax Silverado, and Ive spent the last 3 years building this truck from stock to this! Ive attached a list of upgrades, surely Ive forgot some and others haven't been put on yet, but you get a good look into a proper "form approved" list of modifications! Hope you enjoy the video!

I just bought a 2006 GMC 2500hd - crew cab 4x4 regular bed SLT LBZ from an elderly gentleman with only 45,000 miles on it….. I thought I hit the lotto lol. Sold my 2017 L5P and I’ve been steadily building this truck. No cosmetic aftermarket exterior stuff yet, just polish and ceramic coating. Truck is amazing, I truly prefer these older diesels. Also this is a Florida one owner truck… 🤤

I wish I could put the drive train of my 2007 LBZ into my 2017 Denali L5P. Old school, no def but with new creatures features. Lol
Pretty much my dream truck… it’ll be a few more years though I’m only 17. Until then I’m in a ‘04 f150😂

For that bumper. Do you use the factory hitch from the lbz. Or do you have to get it from the newer model
Factory is fine but I upgraded mine to a beefier Reece hitch, factory ones are little wimpy
How did you get that rear bumper to work ? I’m wanting to get one for mine
Its direct bolt on, but has a healthy amount of gap between the tailgate and bumper when direct bolted on, so must guys drill and extra hole above the 2 factory holes and move it up a peg, that's what I did with mine. You can also drill 2 brand new holes and make it look nice and flush.

About how much was it for labor for the injectors and head studs? Just bought a LBZ and just prepping for the worst😂
7k job at a reputable shop. Could pay as much as 10 for other repairs needed while in there
Why do the injectors go out on these? Thought that was resolved after the LB7..?@@816Diesel
Which CAT battery did you go with?
Not positive at the moment, but know they were the 800 CCA, have preformed very well
Where'd you get the 2 tone seats
Had my upholstery guy do it, cost $500 took 2 days
What running boards you running
Not sure they were on it when I got it, know I've seen them on Amazon before.

Why is your idle rpms so low?
Correct on cts3. New cluster needles need reprogram after swapping em. Couple are off a scoach

Yes we are unfortunately closed for now. Was in this last shop 3yrs but car market is a tough place to be right now

They are not “nice polished wheels” they are chrome. Beautiful truck I own one myself. Every one has there taste in wheels but those are not nice. A set of forged wheels would do that truck more justice. JMO
Well I hate to break it too you. I had just polished them, making them nice polished wheels! A set of forged wheels will do ANY truck some justice, jus saying... but I live and drive gravel regularly so forged wheels are a pain in the butt to not worry about keeping clean 24/7, I ceramic the chrome and good to go!
