Old Ziggy's was a magical fuckin' place. My babysitter Kelly was a bartender there. Sometimes my mom would have to pick my twin brother and I up from the bar after work. The stage, at the point, was all a big back deck. Open sides. One time Kelly thought we were being too rambunctious and told us to go under the deck and pick up change. Turns out all that jumping up and down to concerts emptied the pockets of many a customer. We came out from under that deck with like $40 each! Kelly was shocked...and we were some rich little 9 year olds!
Greatest? I don't know, there are a lot of great bands out there. Clutch definitely delivers the goods and they keep delivering, I do appreciate your stoke for the band!
@@69mag So many amazing bands came before and there are some great newer rock bands out there now. However consider Clutch's insane consistency in their records and live shows, playing an entirely different setlist every single night... Look at their songwriting and willingness to evolve and experiment without losing their core sound. Clutch has been the same group of four solid normal dudes for 30 years without any real lineup change or drama or rockstar bullshit whatsoever. Clutch are the greatest. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. 🤘🔥😎😅
Been with Clutch since the start.Saw them in the early nineties open up for Marilyn Manson and have seen them probably 20 times since.Never disappoint and are one of the best live bands ever!!! Long live the mighty CLUTCH
If that was the show at the old Capitol Ballroom in DC, I was at there, too. When we were walking out, I heard a Manson fan say “It must suck when your opening band blows you off the stage.” No truer words were ever spoken.
Grew up 10 minutes away from these guys. Not only are they insane musicians, they're all humble and genuinely nice guys. Best things to come out of Maryland 1. Clutch 2. Crabcakes
And a band that’s universally liked by many. I’ve seen them probably 30 times live and they bring it. I’ve stood next to dudes sporting Cannibal Corpse gear, then a banker next to him. A teacher, business man, hardcore fan. And everyone jammed together. Fantastic rock band!
There are a couple but not better than. Just as good and doing so consistently. The problem is do we want to debate or rock out? And to debate you would have to have heard and have a good knowledge of the band I suggest. I'll just mention Faith No More and King's X and then go back to rocking out.
@@releasethekraken3603 Hooray for FNM! Neil's voice is what originally brought me in to Clutch, as a fan of Patton's tone in the mid-90s. Both gentlemen share a certain sweet spot in timbre and articulation
So lucky to be a Gen Xer. Some of the best rock music ever came from my era. That's my opinion anyways. I mean how can you argue that? This shit rocks!
WOW! This performance AND recording are fantastic-amazing! This is by far my favorite video to watch right now! Highlights for me are Subtle Hustle, and D.C. Sound Attack! But it's honestly pretty hard to pick a favorite, they just nailed every note of this!
I've been going to clutch shows for OVER 20 years. I even jumped onstage in Providence and shook all their hands. (Pre DIME). I video taped from front row in 2004 in Attleboro. Neil was way cool he played to the camera a couple times.
This reminded me why clutch is my favorite band and why I have a clutch tattoo on my arm. It’s been a while since I listened to them but they are the best.
See theme two times live best times by far I find for me the robot hives tour05...in Cologne and the Beale Street Oblivion tour...07 for me the best period of the band !¡¡! Don't forget the epic Elephant Riders times
I was at Springfield arena for that show - excessive volume can't compensate for shitty acoustics. And can you believe they cut beer sales at 9:30 (right after DM's started)? Try that shit in Boston.
I went to see clutch. Drop kick was a bonus. I also went to another clutch show where they headlined but sevendust opened for them. Another great show.
Blows my mind how so many people aren't aware of CLUTCH! What a great show! So many awesome songs!!!!!!!
I clicked thumbs up before I even heard a note, because Clutch never disappoint.
When it was Tim Sult vs The Greys...I knew the Greys had no chance.
Me the same!
I did the same and then seen your comment haha
I did, so I could easily find it again by searching my "liked" videos.
Damn straight, you can't go wrong with some Clutch baby!
I remember when you bought After shave or new socks for your Dad for Christmas, now you just get him a Clutch dvd...
Eight songs in and I'm blown away by how good Clutch sound live. This is awesome 👍👍
Most underrated rock band of the world. A dozen of absolutely brilliant albums.
Jean-Paul is one of the best rock drummers alive. And Clutch is straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Saw Clutch with the Sword and Lamb of God. Was awesome
That sounds like a fucking wet dream
Ahhhh.....The Sword, so good 😁🤘
This setlist fucking RIPS one of the best bands ever
At this point in their career they have SO many great songs to choose from
FANTASTIC BAND
I would swan dive off the tongues of crippled giants to see these legends again.
Much love from down under
70 yrs Thought I’d heard it all but these guys are something else .
His voice is solid.
And you wouldn't expect him to have that voice and sing the way he does 🍻
Tim looks like someone you'd pass in the lumber aisle at Home Depot and never know you were looking at one of the world's premium riff slingers.
That is one of the things that I have always loved about them
thats all of them
Translate this to the plain English, please.
@@krzv Guitarist go to home improvement store and you no recognise him as great riffman
Tim should just make a living selling riffs to the masses. How can one guy come up with so many riffs
to base songs around? amazing.
Neils voice is on fire! so good!
Back in the 90's, would always catch Clutch at a local club called Ziggy's. They would always rock the place!
Winston Salem?

Saw them open for Pantera back in 97 or 98. 2 completely different sounds and vibes but man what a show!
One of the best bands ever!!
I got a taste of Space Grass in 1995 and I've been hooked ever since.
Long Live Clutch!
Sounding better than ever! These road dogs ARE the template for how it’s done with class and professionalism.
What an incredible setlist! Clutch is the greatest rock band of all time. 🔥🤘

Saw that as well in philly - C! > mm👍
