She talked about it in a show (I don't remember) but she said it was a lyrics for herself because the thing she lost is herself in a relationship that didn't even worked at all. Not because they were young. Young people can be together and still love each other. She lost her own mind basically and got sick of it. It's not just a break up song. Especially watching my mom go through her divorce after a 25 year long marriage, both songs speak to me. Lose You to Love Me to me now obviously is still tied to what Selena wrote it about and who she wrote it about, but more importantly to me it’s now tied to watching my mom go through the sadness that comes with a divorce and losing someone she thought was her best friend to someone my father had been cheating on her with for a year and realizing she’ll eventually be fine without him if this is who he’s deciding to be. Look at Her Now is partly how I’ve seen her put on her brave face to cope with this all and how she’s choosing to carry herself in this aftermath, and both are hopes I have of how she can see herself in the future. Both are on a playlist of songs that deal with the anger and sadness that have come with this.

@@M4rteevee I wasn't arguing with you about anything. I asked if that was the live performance you were referring to and the rest was about the song itself and how it seemed lyrically incorrect. Which lead to a lot of unnecessary hate for Hailey. From your reply, it seems that we're actually on the same page- that she isn't a great recording artist, and on my part, as I said I was checking if that was the "live performance", you referred to. We don't really have as many award shows like in America where you have the Grammy's, the MTV/VMA, PCA, TCA, Billboard awards, iheart etc.which is WHY I asked, for clarification which performance you meant and if it WAS that one, I was critiquing THAT performance and the incorrect lyrics because I found it unprofessional. You don't turn up late, and drunk/high, and then give a bad performance at a WORK event right? That's all. Hope that's clarified things for you.

No one should ever bottle up their emotions and cry and express as often as they need to, regardless of their gender. Maybe some men here and there could be genuinely feminine because nature designed them that way… but most men on the Internet and outside the virtual world have become feminine and women are becoming masculine. Which is tragic in my opinion.
