I just found your site, and am very glad to have seen it.I have been gathering parts to build a board track racer replica for probably six or seven years.I have purchased a 212 Predator to use on one of my builds. I really like your design for mounting the motor, and the aging tricks you have come up with.I am a professional faux finisher, and have aged many various things in my long career.Your work in that department is very admirable, and note worthy.I look forward to seeing more of your informational videos. Thanks again! Way Cool! YOU ROCK DUDE! I got a Pred 212 NIB and it never dawned on me to mount it like this! or to strip-off the other crap but now? Oh Yea! AND I already have the centrifugal clutch kit for it! I LUV motorcycles except for the ones that go.. Eeeeeee-eeee that IMO are made for "Little Girls"! And being 68 I need some serious exercise and being a single alpha-male luv ta visit the small town/city from time to time too ta check out the local squeeze-toys!, and so want to build a retro-style scooter like the old first Harley/Excelsior/etc. style and using a good retro-look helmet w/glued-on leather, and some old leather Aviator style Goggles w/(tinted prescription lenses) and so motor around in town in style! And being an alpha-male (NOT a Girly-Man) All those Eeeee-eee-eeee mo-peds I would be embarrassed to even being seen with one! (And tea you guessed-it I got a few Harleys too) Thanks Dude! You have helped to make-up my mind in a good way! I can see my style and so happiness at the end of this small gas saving Mo-Ped Tunnel. And cont-rare to popular belief the cops won't mess with you as long as you don't draw attention to yourself and screw-up on the driving laws! Yeav so I'll say it again.. YOU ROCK DUDE! Thanks!@@SeymourCycleWorks
New subscriber. Thanks for sharing your smartness with us. Where can I get a frame like that? I have to turn my old frame I made 15 years ago into a wall hanger. I dont trust my welds with a stage 2 preditor engine.
@@SeymourCycleWorks thanks much apriciate it. i build also board track racers to . but never see a smoot flywheel like that .thats why i ask .today i wil upload a video about my builds to if you wan to check it out feel free to do so .keep up the good work 👍👍
Thanks for the great video. I wounder about the oil level, you raised it to straight up and the little oil thrower in the oil case, is the length right now? And the volym might be different? Just a thought 🤔 other wise I love it. 🇸🇪❤️✨
Serously nice build. I'm sure you know oil needs to splash lubes your rods and such. Can I just mention this though. In that orientation standing up. Oil is not lubricating cam shaft bearings. I have not watched video yet. But even if you filled it to a level where it splash lubricates. Still wont supply enough to lubricate it and lots wear will take place much faster then normal. They are designed to be submerged. Fix though would be to use ceramic bearings replace stock ones. Just something seen gokart builders do alot over the years to stand up a 45 degree 4 stroke.
Definitely going for the looks over putting miles since I don’t commute or ride this on the road much. Because of that type of use, I don’t have any issues. Great for parades and car shows. Turns all the heads.
The engine is sitting very low on this build, some builders have those great looking boar tracker frames, but the engine is not where it is supposed to be, here it looks right. BTS.: You can try and add a muffler, your neighbors will be love it.
Hello, please where to get such manifold? I am trying to build a motorcycle with this engine, but I can't find the manifold to turn the carburetor vertical. Thanks
You can cut any predator manifold and twist it to the right angle then use a rubber hose over both and hose clamps. This is an easy fix that only costs a few dollars from the hardware store. You can also access my parts guide that helps with many other aspects of the build here: www.learningwithkeith.com/pl/2147618978
Serious question: how to fit carburater after changing engine position like here? Is there any ready made 90 degree converter intake manifold? or something like that?
@@SeymourCycleWorks Thank you very much for your answer ! I can't weld aluminium so I get someone to do it or use rubber pipe as connection, but it's ugly;) And the last question..what carb you got here? choke is on rigt side so I'm confused;) is this mikuni or something else? For GX120 I'm thinking of VM20 or some cheap VM22 copy to start with and see how it works toegether. have a great weekend!
I do cover what to strip down (gas tank mounts) and change out (vintage plug wires, head cover, and wrap around pull start) but in part 2, I'll cover the patina on the engine. Stay tuned!
I wish madmoto would send my frame that I paid for! Order# 124! Im not happy with them! The tracking number shows that it was never recieved by bikeflights! If it doesnt show up at my door tomorrow Ill be contacting visa and the police!
@@SeymourCycleWorks NO! I send messages and he never responds like any normal sellers do!. Im advising everybody do not buy from them! Very poor customer response either by mail or phone!
If you're making a how-to video why are you going through everything in the past motion and not explaining anything if we were just here for the end result we would have gone to Pinterest

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant idea! This is EXACTLY what I want for my build!
That’s a really beautiful bend of the exhaust pipe

Really useful video man, thank you. Can you use a torque converter with the engine mounted vertically?
Love the old lookn bikes, ggz-👽👍
Nice build .can you also just use the original flywheel or does that not work?
This was actually the original fly wheel just stripped of the recoil pull start

What are you using for rear mount?, building similar bike off a harken frame

Is it ok to run a stationary engine on an angle like that?
Yes if you add more oil.
Will the engine get oil,to the top, at one time how far have you ride it like that?
Awesome Info

The intake manifold is custom. Just cut the fitting off the old one and make a new pipe to an aftermarket carb

@@4zstudio42no prob! Using a rubber pipe is fine too but doesn’t have the same look. it’s the mukini carb on this one.
Where did you find the aftermarket head cover?
Check out the parts list in the description for that and many other parts I use
seymour buts 😂,i got myself 🗣️🗣️🗣️😂
question, I am looking to build bikes just as a hobby, where can I buy bike frames that will support engines like these?
You can enter the giveaway to win one or buy directly from Harken Cycles on eBay or Madmotoinc.com
Ever done this with one of the bigger predator engines? I think they make a 450.
Check out the Miami bike on my channel. It has the predator 350.
Это то что я хотел видеть! Я тоже начал собирать такую технику для себя. 😊
Good Grief let's hear the f'n thing run shall we!
I like ur work
What about those of us who aren't 🇺🇸 based who would love to win such a fantastic prize. I would be more than willing to pay for the shipping
what bicycle did you use, just curious
This was a custom frame so I did not start with a bicycle
Will this work with a 196cc diesel engine?
I’ve not tried it but potentially, yes!
I want to see how you make the patina look.
Coming up on part 2!
How's pullstart work without cover???
What rims and wheels are u using? They look really nice and strong!
These are custom rims laced with worksman heavy duty hubs and 11ga spokes. 26”
Do you have for sale frames and tank for that bike sir?
I do not have any frames/tanks for sale
Currently but this actual complete bike is for sale.
Where is part 2
It’s up now! 😎
You still don't show how you get the rusted look
What motor mount plate are you using?
It’s a custom plate welded. I cover the motor Mount in another video as well.
Can i have the old engine? i am getting started on my own project and i think it could help me
This one is definitely not useable as the flywheel key tore up the crankshaft as well when it cracked.
@@SeymourCycleWorks Well thats alright with me i just like how some of the parts look and i think i can use some of it
Hi,what is the measurement of the rim on one side?
The rims are 26" but are you referring to the belt drive?
Ummm... no disrespect but u really didnt tellus anything about making it look old other than thr valve cover..
I do cover what to strip down (gas tank mounts) and change out (vintage plug wires, head cover, and wrap around pull start) but in part 2, I'll cover the patina on the engine. Stay tuned!
Frame?????
Your new motor is Hemi.
I'm guessing the old engine was a Honda?
I wish madmoto would send my frame that I paid for! Order# 124! Im not happy with them! The tracking number shows that it was never recieved by bikeflights! If it doesnt show up at my door tomorrow Ill be contacting visa and the police!
So sorry to hear that! Have you not had luck reaching out to him directly?

Nice motor,lol.
Esse cara e muito otário, só para o motor ficar com cara de coisa velha tirou a partida retrátil 😂😂😂😂😂😂, ninguém iria notar diferença nenhuma 😂😂😂😂😂
Good effect but that "original" motors not that old either.. definitely NOT an excelcier
too much blah blah blah...
WAY too much.
