Mastering the Technique: How to Achieve Authentic Barn Find Patina on Your Boardtracker Replica
In this video I reveal how I achieve barn find patina on my gas powered bikes. You can use this on any metal like frames and tanks for your motorized bike or boardtracker replica. Whether you're using an 80cc/66cc two stroke or a 160cc/190cc Honda or 200cc Predator/ Honda GX Clone, you can even use this on the engine with some high temp paint as a base coat. I hope this video gives you some inspiration on giving your motorized bicycle that ultimate look.

I would of gotten at least 6 maybe 10 more inch longer cables.
So why did you leave the governor in it and it’s not hooked up and just flopping around in the engine. This bikes cool looking but definitely a death trap 💯
Needs a wood handle on the starting rope. Cool build
Looks great did you make this
Love your videos keep making them❤
I am building one try to go with a original 1911 engine and custom frame same specs as a board track racer
I love that these are not drop loop. Especially the one in the back, looks like a worksman. I want to build one on a worksman with a springer, so it's awesome to be able to see what it would look like.
The Harley is a Worksman frame.💪🏼😎
@@SeymourCycleWorks Awesome thank you! It looks sick!
Can these be registered And street legal?
It depends on your state but typically can be if registered as an antique or as a moped (if using a 50cc or smaller engine).
Ok howd ya do that engine like that- I gotta have one but drop seat
Все ок, но все портит уродливо торчащий карбюратор. Достаточно было изготовить новый впускной коллектор и карб не мешал бы колену и не мозолил глаза.
Canterbury nyu zillund
Is there any way to make a manual clutch system for this? And also, is there a way to mount this onto a standard bike?
Fuck California.
Phuck commiefornia
See the sparks out the exhaust? It's running lean and detonating. The sparks are bits of piston.
How do you know it's not running rich ?
Looks cool but 2 major problems the first being the engine isn't designed to run at this angle, it's a oil slung engine and gets lubricant by dipping the rod connection down into the oil and slinging it on moving parts. At this angle there's no way of knowing if it's even reaching the oil or too much. The second being this is a air cooled engine and comes with a shroud and fins on the flywheel to force air over the head cooling it. It's a good system but if taken away it will over heat and seize, I know from experience from a kid doing just what you are here. It will run for a short time but that's all.
fan shroud is added for stationary use, look at all the air cooled motorcycles from the past, don't see many fan shrouds on them, riding creates a breeze that cools them.
@@anunnakielohim2727 that's what I thought also when I was just a kid I put one of these small engine on a bicycle and it just didn't look cool with the shroud and it lasted about a week and the rings collapse from heat. It runs at a temp that is at its limits while moving then a few stop and idle it's a dead duck. Even Harley Davidson has gone to a small radiator cooling the head in the exhaust area. If these engines had a pressurized oil system going through a oil cooler they may hold up to it but they don't.
Gražu 😎🤙

Seymour this looks and sounds HELLA COOL!!!!! I wish these were legal in Denmark, Europe. I'd have one already :-D NICE build bro!!!
You do awesome work. That looks great. I build bikes with gas powered motors on them also. Just give me a ton of ideas thank you so much. .
Thank you very much! It means a lot you would take time to say these kind words. Happy building!
Where does the Springer Mount come from that was attached the the Sportman Seat at 2:44.
great question! This was a custom setup using two sets of springs off of other motorcycles with a bent steel round bar with threaded ends so you can bold the springs to the end so there's a stop to change the spring rate and secure the springs.
Who makes those drop loop frame?
How were you able to cover the flywheel once you removed the pull start and make it look smooth like that?

great looking bikes....tell me about your axle mounted drop stand/ kick stand where do you get them at? Thanks
Greeneville TN
It has no pedals
It has a Sportster engine with electric start
Very sad welds dood
Did you make that pull start hub?
It was actually Dan from Taylar cycles that made this particular one
Too cool.
I just found your channel and hope you are still building bikes! In the next few months, I will be collecting parts to put a 212 motor on a 2004 Kustom Kruiser Roadster. Your technique is going to be great to make this look 90 years old!
Love it! I put together a free parts sourcing guide to help: www.learningwithkeith.com/opt-in-2d2088d7-c895-4088-8b34-384140454ed8
Where did you get the valve cover, that was on the motor you pulled off
On eBay. I have full parts list here: shorturl.at/lzR18
Will the engine get oil,to the top, at one time how far have you ride it like that?
Best
what bicycle did you use, just curious
This was a custom frame so I did not start with a bicycle
В таком положении двигатель не испытывает масленного голодания?
Dude, that is awesome!
Been wanting to build a board track style bike. Ive also been trying to find a good frame and tank as a starting point. I cant seem to find a supplier for a good frame and tank combo because almost every good website, you either cant buy directly from, or like with these two frames, they came up with expired websites. That or you cant just get a frame because they want to sell you a whole bike. Ive yet to build a motorized bike. Ive been doing my homework and im ready to pull the trigger, but all ive been able to figure out is that they sure dont make building a bike easy.
I'm in your same position right now, but I've been looking at Sportsman Flyer's stuff. Haven't ordered anything yet so I cant speak to quality of parts or experience but it seems like the only option at the moment.
Sportsman Flyer is the only drop loop frame producer easy to order. You can check eBay regularly. Also, head over to here to grab my parts sourcing list where I suggest several options for parts:shorturl.at/lzR18
@@SeymourCycleWorks thank you for your reply. I appreciate it. Ill check them out.
Espectacular!! La verdad quede facinado! La segunda parte tambien! Hermoso trabajo y excelente andar! Saludos desde buenos aires, argentina 🇦🇷🤟🏻
So best you can do is pick on everyones build and not show your own?
Check out my other videos where I show my builds.
