I've just finished reading You squared by Price Pritchett. He included this lyrics on the last page of his book, I loved it and came to check it on TH-cam immediately. Amazing book, awesome song. The realest things of life comes from the heart.
I would love to have a lengthy conversation with you, I'm 41, and know nothing, self destructive, sinful, hate myself everytime I sin against God. Someone who can learn that much from one song has to be wise beyond their years.
@@wrestleguy24 Hope you are doing well. You mentioned a few months ago that you were dealing with some issues. Give us an update, if you can. When I was a young girl, my daddy told me A lesson he learned, it was a long time ago If you want to have someone to hold onto You're gonna have to learn to let go You got to sing, like you don't need the money Love ,like you'll never get hurt You got to dance, like nobody's watchin' It's gotta come from the heart If you want it to work. Now here is the one thing ,I keep forgettin' When everything is falling apart In life as in love, you know I need to remember There's such a thing as trying too hard You got to sing, like you don't need the money Love, like you'll never get hurt You got to dance, dance, dance like nobody's watchin' It's gotta come from the heart If you want it to work. You got to sing, sometimes, like you don't need the money Love, sometimes, like you'll never get hurt You got to dance, dance, dance like nobody's watchin' It's gotta come from the heart if you want it to work.
First tape I ever bought with my own money around age 9 was willow in the wind. I sung where have you been at elementary talent shows. Kathy was such a pivotal part of my childhood.
The line about dance like nobody's watching has been going through my head for about a week. I knew it was from a song but there was some awful rock song with that title that I first found; I'm so glad I found "Come from The Heart." What a beautiful video and rendition of the song, Kathy Mattea! And lord, I remember our hairdos....
I was very lucky to recently take part at a private concert with the famous co-writer of this beautiful song, Richard Leigh. He sings this song so wonderfully himself, it is so full of feeling. Thank you, Richard, for sharing so much love with us.
Of course I didn't know her, but I think Susanna Clark had a beautiful soul, judging from her writing. And don't forget what a close friend she was to the late great Townes Van Zandt. I think she and husband Guy and TVZ are making beautiful music on the "other side"! Does anyone else think that's a possibility?
Just heard on Kelly Clarkson show. Drops tomorrow...we already got it. Vince is well..Vince. That man can "sang" Trying to find out who did harmony? This is great 💙🎸🎶🌹🤠
back when I was still about nine or ten I would always listen to this. I just Wish to this day why these people do not keep singing. I just love listening to this. it just remind me of my mom.
Greetings... Our church in Plymouth, Indiana would like to use this in our live stream service... Is there a way we can get permission to use this video? Great song! Thank you so much for sharing it!! -Thomas
@cmartinlouis I agree. There isn't anything that he sings is bad. Even does Tulsa Time better than Eric Clapton did. This song was on the Traces album, not a bad or mediocre song on it.
He did? I have got to check that out and hear it, Don Williams is awesome, listen to the Radio was our first dance song at my wife and mines wedding in 2020.❤
Comparing Don Williams version with this one, on radio Don version is better because of vocal arrangement but when it comes to live performance I think this one is better as Kathy dance to it with passion something that most country singers don't ..

Hello Laila
I reckon the lord would approve this song over most in worship service these days
Great song. Written by Richard Leigh and Susanna Clark, Guy Clark's wife. A brilliant artist and songwriter.
Kathy Mattea and KT Oslin was the two best female country singers in the late 80s the real deal
Please remember the recently deceased Susanna Clark who wrote this wonderful song.

I love this song, it really makes sence.
Found this from watching Ken Burns' country music documentary. ☺

Any song co-written by Susanna Clark is a great song.
Besides myself who else is still listening to this in 2022?
