      The one issue with priming is it might kill your batteries, did for me. I have two pretty new, fully charged ones that died during the priming stage. And my truck is out in a field nowhere near electricity, so I had to remove the batteries to bring them in to charge.

    Great tutorial on how to change the bottom filter but make sure to change both the bottom and top filter at the same time. They sell the combo filters in a kit. A metric size 24 fit my top fuel filter cap the best. Also make sure to use only Motorcraft parts.

    I'm working on my old f350 that the guy broke the o ring on his bottom frame filter. He said he did it right it ran for 10 min and just died. I had to give him the bad news that he broke the o ring by over torqued it. He than had to go to the parts store and get a new cap for the top filter after he over torqued it and broke it. 70 bucks later, it's running like a top. 50 plus tax for the cap and new o ring and the rest in fuel and gas. • @EKAutoTech
      @EKAutoTech  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for watching. I didnt do anything special, when i pulled the drain plug water and diesel came out. My truck has almost 190k on it now, so i will probably buy a whole new filter housing(conditioner) for the truck. If these units fail you can kiss your injectors bye bye. Also if you pull that plug and its all diesel coming out, then the internal seal of the unit is damaged and should be replaced

    • @sojourner57
      @sojourner57 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@EKAutoTech , Okay, thanks on the seal. I got the water in fuel light and parked the truck right away. I used a pint beer glass to collect the fuel out of the water separator: 2 pints and NO water bubbles in the bottom of the glass. These I poured back in the tank. The next two glasses had particles in them, so they got tossed. The plug itself was in good shape. I pulled the harness off the sensor: It looked okay. After that, the water in fuel light went off. No water was found. Only 104K on the truck. It was bullet-proofed 15 months ago...

    It's NOT a 7/32 Allen head!!!!!
    It's all metric! 7/32 strips the plug!!

      Yup, its a 6mm. But im not shooting a new video to update that,lol. Hopefully you can tell since the allen key isnt perfectly tight on that plug.

      @@mgconty1283 I was able to update the video by removing the part where I mention 7/32 using youtube's editor. Gunna see if I can add in a text box and write in 6mm. You're not the first one to mention this mistake
