I came to TH-cam today to figure out what bird was hollering at me when I walk in the backyard. Turns out it's not a bird at all🤷‍♂️

Its great to hear the natural red squirrel sounds, because a lot of videos obscure them with music. This is especially important to those of us who are not in the areas where they live.

I have a save the red squirrel petition ongoing in the UK as we could lose them in the next 10 years and would like to use a clip of your footage to help raise awareness that we may not hear this sound soon if action isn't taken :( thank you!

The "geniuses" who set up our park systems in Minneapolis killed the native reds and installed grays from NYC's Central Park and elsewhere because they are friendlier to humans. I've heard you're losing your native squirrels because the North American gray squirrel gave your native reds some kind of virus that's killing them off. In North America we don't have this virus apparently, because I can see that the reds slowly are returning in my St Paul neighborhood, thank God. Reds prefer spruce and pine trees for food and shelter, so maybe consider planting them in your neighborhood.
