We are Nasrin, who attempts to find a cure for an illness that she has. She lives in the Spout with her sister, Cyra, and their father rules/owns the place. Unfortunately, the Spout becomes corrupted with a curse (manifested by the phantom monster at the end) and the residents need to evacuate promptly. Nasrin is unwilling to come and keeps doing her research on the Paracosm, a fictitious world that she explores as another person (Brother Rand, in this case) _Literally, I know this because I had a nice conversation with the developer as I didn't get the story perfectly fine by myself, it was a bit obscure, but still interesting to uncover_
Well, technically, in one of the notes in the game, it says: " in one of my dreams I become a monk" which indicates that brother Rand is merely a character, not an actual person At least that was my impression
@@amnesiaPUZZLES I know im late but I replayed this mod recently and found something interesting. In one of the locations you may find a drawing of Nasrin with glowing medallion. In the end, right before a boat trip, there lies a skeleton with the same medallion. So Nasrin might have been truly dead all this time, being merely a guide for our protagonist, since she left a note for him, knowing he will come from her dreams
I've played this custom story and stopped when I got the Padlock Key at the Consumption place. So far, I can say this CS is very atmospheric and filled with lore. The level designs to me were *really good* and surprised me at times. It managed to spook me many times and kept me jumping at ghosts!
This mod's level design stands out from any other mod I've played. The only mod that gave the same feeling of exploration and scale as the original game has. The only flaw of this mod for me is its lenght. It should be at least 5 times longer.
When I inserted the last coordinate rod into the machine, the Ghost ceased chasing me until I set the coordinate and pulled the lever again. I keep finding better and better mods thanks to you. :D The Grunt in the Consumption gave me headache at times.
Because clickbait easily gets people's attention, that's what it is, after all. I try to make sure my thumbnails represent the video precisely the way it is, that's why it's usually a still frame from the video (just saturated and with better contrast); occasionally, it'll be a thumbnail resource material that was available somewhere on the mod's page (but still relevant to the content). And I like to keep them simplistic.
I was thinking about that, but technically, this kind of video would always get outdated, as new mods are still released every month. Every time someone asks me what mods I recommend as best to play, I always respond in a comment and the answer is most up-to-date. But it's nice to know that ppl are interested in my opinion, thanks. *:3*
I don't think there was any. IIRC the creator mentioned something in the Comments section on the Mod DB page that one of the endings (with either red or green page) was removed, so it's the same ending for both pages
I have finished this mod a few days after it came out already, however I started my walkthrough two weeks later and never continued (because im a lazy person...). ^^' You are totally right by the way. :)
Well, this mod above... _Amadeus_ has raised the standard a lot. _Penumbra: Prisoner of Fate_ demo looks great so far. _Therapy Dream_ is a mod that hasn't gained much recognition, but a lot of work was put into it, and it features some unique gameplay ideas. _The Second Dimension_ is a gem, being so well done and being a 2D platformer game set within the _Amnesia_ universe. It really depends what you're looking for
@@itsuchihaboyyt2843 no, it actually doesn't feature the terror meter, haha. I had a situation in one of my playthroughs, the Suitor was chasing me all the way to the machine room, and he scared me when I turned around and suddenly realised he was right behind me all this time 😅 And thanks for the info as for the eyes, I wasn't aware of that
Usually somewhere medium-high, like Shadows high high or medium high, SSAO some lesser values but still checked, Refraction and other stuff mostly checked. Lowering the settings optimizes the game just barely, for most of the time it doesn't make too much of a difference (had to lower it significantly for the Great Hall level in this mod, but it's still choppy, as you can see).
So, could anyone sum up what the hell happened there? That English was kinda hard to understand sometimes, also the notes were few

I am astounded by the quality of this mod.
It is exceptionally good, especially visually, a lot of work was put into this
Has to be my favorite custom story ever.
My favorites are curse of ripley manor and streets of london

Yeah, it's absolutely fantastic. I wish it was longer as well
ohh yes..another walkthrough!keep it up man!
I will, haha
and thank you :)
Definitely setting a reminder for this one
love ur vids!
Thanks a lot :3

Ahh yes, the Grunt at Consumption was an annoyance at times, haha
Finished editing the speedrun prep video... TIME TO WATCH
actually i might play this for myself
It is worth playing. For the lighting, atmosphere, sound experience, and maps, and the writing
You're about to be at 4k subs. Congratulations!
Thank you :) it means a lot to me that I was able to attract an audience this big
@@amnesiaPUZZLES your channel deserves a lot more subscribers.
Honestly, I only do gameplay with a few captions. Little effort goes into my -videos- editing, so I guess the number is justified. ;)
@@amnesiaPUZZLES At least you're not a clickbait channel, for some reason those guys get millions of subs.

20:17 ohhhh... Ended up using the shovel and jamming It open XD
Should be interesting to see, if what I’ve heard about it is true...
Reminder set.
Thanks *:3*
40:40 was honestly the scariest part in a game that I have ever experienced..
It's not even the scariest moment in THIS mod. The final level was hella scary, this is nothing.
55:47 Emotional ^_^
Hype!!
That's what this premiere is for, haha :)
FINALLY!
I'm happy to release the video too :') And thanks for standing by :3
hey I have an idea for a video. Can you make a video showing the best amnesia mods/custom stories you played in recent years ?

Amnesiapuzzles releases despacito 2 coming soon
DEEES-PAAA-CITO
Hello Again! :D
54:40 I realized how much dirt there is on my computer screen .
same haha
What movie did the boat scene remind you of? I didn't see that answered in the chat
Perhaps I missed something but what was the difference between the first two endings?
I don't think there was any.
IIRC the creator mentioned something in the Comments section on the Mod DB page that one of the endings (with either red or green page) was removed, so it's the same ending for both pages
Maybe I should really finish my own walkthrough of it. xD
yeah, this is a good mod, so definitely worth a material, alright
I have finished this mod a few days after it came out already, however I started my walkthrough two weeks later and never continued (because im a lazy person...). ^^'
You are totally right by the way. :)
I saw that ghost/phantom monster but wasn't that monster was from amnesia library of Alexandria
Yeah, Alex in the comments below already mentioned it's a _Library of Alexandria_ monster
I am too dumb for these puzzles, good custom story though
You're not dumb, mate
I wonder where to find the soundtrack to this
What was the difference between the red and green page endings?
The skull's expression slightly changes, if I recall correctly
It is so good that it seems to be other game
That light looks like a face at 46:01
Hehe, I don't see it like this
Man.... after playing Amadeus, everything else feels super amateur... Anyone has suggestions?

nice
BTW, is the phantom/ghost blind or not and is it a one hit kill?
If you take a look at the Simulacrum Bonus video, you'll see he's definitely not blind, and definitely not a one hit kill.
In library of Alexandria he have those red eyes but now he doesn't have his red eyes.
Does this custom story have terror meter, when I got chase by suitors it didn't play the terror meter same goes to the phantom ghost
@@itsuchihaboyyt2843 no, it actually doesn't feature the terror meter, haha. I had a situation in one of my playthroughs, the Suitor was chasing me all the way to the machine room, and he scared me when I turned around and suddenly realised he was right behind me all this time 😅
