We are building the house out of aerated concrete, which is an artificial stone. The house itself is located 5 kilometers from Kyiv, the most protected city. Although our CCTV camera shows missiles being shot down almost every day. Another important detail is that almost all of the men in this video are already at the front defending the country.

Toll, wie ihr das macht. In Deutschland würde das das zehnfache kosten. Ich habe vor 2 Jahren eine Gerätehalle für Traktor und Geräte aus Holz mit den Maßen 6 auf 8 m mit Ringfundament aus Beton gebaut. Das hat allein 17.000 € gekostet. Allein die Vermessung kostete 700 €. Es ist unglaublich, wie schwer es ist, als normaler Arbeiter in Deutschland ein Haus zu bauen. Eigentlich unmöglich. Danke für Euren tollen Timelapsefilm.

If i were you i would check this material out. In the uk they used a similar material called RAAK concrete on hundreds of schools and houses and it is failing all over these building and there going to have to demolish the buildings as it appears to have only a 30 year life.An other cheap wonder product i guess.Just giving you the heads up.cheers.

those blocks arent going anywhere, did u see how wide they were? plus they have adhesive all over them, a massive reinforced concrete beam poured around the top, and like an inch of whatever the hell that crap they finished the inside with. it would take a strong ass earth quake. and at that point, it doesnt matter what you reinforce it with, if its gonna come down its gonna come down
We don’t have this type of building materials in Australia, I forgot how easy it was to build with those blocks and how quickly you could build a home with them. I remember helping out on a building sight when we lived in the UK in the 70’s one hand saw wad all that was needed to cut them blocks and they were so light in weight compared to other building supplies.
My admiration for Ukrainians continues to grow. If I were a younger man I’d be there helping their country to defend itself. My wife’s grandfather was from Western Ukraine, before he was forced into service at 10-yrs-old during WWI. He escaped to America with nothing but his life, and retired as a brick mason in Las Vegas.

As others have noted, that’s not anything like a stone house, it’s more of a concrete bunker with windows. But considering the current state of affairs in the Ukraine, it’s remarkable you can even build that much right now. And, sadly, a bunker might come in handy for you all these days. But high marks for affordability!
Phrase "stone house" in Ukrainian describes house from any solid stone-like material - bricks, concrete, aerated concrete, stones etc. Moreover, sane person will not build new house from stones in country with cold winer (such as Ukraine)😄

No it wouldn’t, Those are very cheap blocks, something like aircrete if you don’t cover the out side properly the whole house will destroy itself. I wouldn’t build with them, ICF would be a much better choice.
Last home I built for my family required jack-hammers to excavate for the footings and we made 3,500 mudbricks for the walls with the roof supported by repurposed railway sleepers.

Scavenged a dozen old red cedar double hung windows from the local tip along with many other things plus from garage sales and auctions. Also bought a massive length of old growth Douglas Fir/Oregon which I used to make the northern windows and sills from. It's a split-level home I've not lived in since my marriage ended. Next new home will be a compressed wheat-straw panel granny flat craned in ready made on a block of land beside my daughters home. Was the draftsman for the company for 3 years before leaving to be my late mothers carer.
aerated concrete - material for this house - is very popular now, it is cheap, provides great insulation, perfect material if you want to build house yourself (typical block density is 400 kg/m3). The cost of materials makes this type of houses comparable to houses from wooden frames (typical houses in USA)
