They must have changed up the threat generation quite a bit. Back in Legion and BfA, I throw a blood plague or 2 and EVERYTHING is focused on me. Just got to 80 and did a follower dungeon for my first dungeon... Bro, I could barely keep the mobs off the followers.
@taylorwhite2751 yeah, and to anyone who says it was damage, my warrior with less dps would throw out one thunder blast and get every enemy hit by it for awhile
Hey Yoda, thanks for this - the BDK opener has felt kind of bloated but this is very helpful. Question: Didn't hear much about blood boil, is that a trap use of a GCD on cooldown? I find myself having a hard time not just smashing it on CD, but it seems like there are better ways to increase AOE dps.
The only thing I don’t like about blood DK is the mobility. It’s hard to want to play after playing my prot warrior, brewmaster or VDH. If only we could mount our horse in combat blood would be legendary.
Blood boil related question: how often does bb tick? Assuming it's 1.5 sec, if I bb the 1st global, after 1 sec, in .5 sec comes in a tick of bb, I cast bb again, it refreshes the duration of bb, does it cancel the original tick of bb?

Blood dk damage is so bad…so bad. I can’t remember a time when it’s been this bad in comparison to other tanks. Single target only both level 80 my bear Druid does over twice the dps over 5 and 10 minutes than my dk - and the Druid is 30 ilvls lower.
I keep hearing death strike back to back is not ideal now, I understand why this is but is capping RP just inevitable if you don't dump with it sometimes?
Runic power gain was nerfed in conjunction with the look back window changes so you have less RP available than seasons 3 and 4 of dragonflight. Also during high damage periods you’ll still be able to deathstrike more often than every 5 seconds, you just can’t double dip anymore. Lastly, haste is now your lowest priority stat and with the new xpac scaling it’s likely RP capping shouldn’t be an issue. At the end of the day if you’re death striking back to back just to avoid capping RP you’re either flubbing your rotation really bad and just not death striking for extended periods of time when you otherwise should be or you’re taking so little damage that you haven’t needed to death strike and at that point you probably could be hitting your buttons randomly and not dying
This is not a rotation guide, you were just talking about the abilities and how they work. A rotation guide should tell someone which abilities are priority to use in what order in what situations.
@@Sweet-CA did you watch the video? He gives no concrete examples at all. I would expect something like "Here's your standard opener" and "Here's your AOE priority order". It's fine to call it a BDK ability guide because he explains each ability well, but it is not a rotation guide.
This was a conscious choice, the main reason is that most of the actions in any sort of priority list would be conditional so I thought it was more useful to explain the conditions. Which one you do in which order is not super important.

It's mainly used to apply blood plague though you can use it for damage if you have 3 runes on cd already and don't need to heartstrike for RP.

What mog are you using? It looks like the new PVP/Raid set but its white glow and steel color? Is this the normal type color variation?

blood boil damage per cast is higher than heart strike. For pure damage use blood plague for higher dps.
Is imp vamp blood so good? Feels like you lose a lot with no imp h-strike instead of it
It's very noticeable in high keys, but if you will never die then improved heart strike obviously offers higher dps.

This is not a rotation guide, you were just talking about the abilities and how they work. A rotation guide should tell someone which abilities are priority to use in what order in what situations.
he does tell you what to use and when, at the end of the day, dk as with most tanks are situational, there isnt a dps rotation, just learn to play
