I really like this design of the class and the new hero talents it really increases the depth of your character and is fun. Its good they finally return back to focusing on class design and class fantasy as the main part of the game because more fun to travel the world in a lamborghini than a fiat punto! With san'layn haste and dk talent tree haste you can actually gear around other stats rather than haste, you could go giga juice on mastery if you want to go for big shields combined with umbicillus and be mega tanky, or you could go full crit/vers for max amount of AOE damage, so many ways you can go with the character and play whatever way you enjoy. its definitly going to increase the longevity of the game

Yeah Guardian Druids Iron Fur is a completely useless button and they should not press it, ever. Also, once they grab aggro, they can switch to cat because the armor from bear form is useless and cat does more damage.
Bruh i am so torn. Should i play blood, unholy or frost? All of them? Basicly everything looks not only fun to play, but very strong too... I love everything about the reworked Dk's, the Specs the hero talents, well aside from the S1 Set design, everything...

Blood dk looks amazing now. Been main blood dk since wotlk so this changes makes me happy haha as it looks so damn good. Why did you skip the last 3 hero talents tho in the San talents?
Should note that vampiric strike does shadow damage, so blood shot utility decreases when playing san’layn. Makes it more reasonable to take Umbilicus Eternus or… Tightening grasp.
I don't play tank but for me blood dk is probably the most interesting it's unique in regards of using 2h weapon and you can use legendary 2h which makes it even more cool
Legendary is a double-edged sword. It's awesome if you get your hands on it, but it's horrible if you're unlucky and never get it as your spec is tuned around having it.
I plan on BETA testing tomorrow but i feel like I'm going to remain unheard... Like as soon as I submit something, some dev is going to write back, Git Gud scrub, or Skill Issue.
On the topic of Rune Tap, It is a great set of training wheels. RT helped me years ago get a feel for tanking with BDK. Smoothing out dmg intake is great for a 1st time BDK.
Been a BDK since cata, dropped it in DF after playing from cata->SL religously with brewmaster as my second most played tank ever. Suffice to say, im super glad to see the changes! Cant wait to be a mastery build and be viable for tankiness and high high end content. HOORAH FOR FOREVER SHIELDS!

DK in general is lacking VFX. Marrowrend, scourge strike, obliterate, epidemic, etc all look very lacking compared to what other melee classes can throw out.
The changes look really good. But what about the mobility? Do they change anything on that? I love BDK but if Blizz dont give some more movement options, BDK will always be behind...
these modern DEI devs really don't know what a "tree" is, huh? Bone Shield related talents for example are nowhere near each other, none are even connected...
Except if you go to the DK class discord apparently this rework is terrible and multiple people are considering quitting because the devs don't know what they're doing etc etc. Class discords are a mistake
Blood sometimes has a little too much going on at times but it makes it the most fun tank. I want to play other tanks like Pally but I just get bored after a while cause you just spam abilities without much thought. I like the whole gameplay loop with the bone shield charges.
Do they have runic power? They are probably going to death strike. As a holy priest I just maintain renew and if they trigger their cheat death, heal them.
played bdk since cata prepatch. Soloed raidbosses and other stuff back in the day. BDK have always feelt super strong in content it cant die in. Have Blizz fixed the oneshot problem of blood dk? its been there since i started in cata pre patch. have blizz updated all the super bad talents that are in the blood dk tree. Leeching strikes, blood feast? Are bdk still forced to stand in there death and decay? Do Marrowrend still hit like a wet nuddle?
This rework is so extreme that I've been stuck in stormwind just trying to figure out how to rebuild my character and what the rotation is going to be. Update: Yeah i give up. you basically have to relearn the entire class. That's too much without some sort of a support structure in place.
Bonestorm requiring you to get 10 bone shield charges before using it makes it BAD for snap aggro as you normally don’t have full charges going into a pack…… OR you used DRW to get charges but now you don’t need the extra aggro because DRW is great
You can use DRW for initial snap threat and if you think you'll lose aggro to big burst classes, BS will be good for more snap threat allowing the burst classes to just nuke the mobs early instead of big snap at first and suddenly losing aggro anyways (Or open with D&D+Blood Boil/Gorefiends)
It feels like frost will be the main loser here cause San seems like the way to go due to the haste. Deathbringer looks fun but joining a group as a blood deathbringer I feel will be looked down upon cause you will lack the haste and group support.
i wont say the best tank, but we get what like 4 points? plus bonetorm is a must have, DRW will have a Big uptime because the Bonestorm now use Bone charges instead
I would be cautious about calling it best, blood always looks as best tank before expansion and then reality hits and hits bottom of barrel until it gets buffed every week.
I played the whole S3 with BDK. I ended in ctf Gear (489) I started to play Outlaw rogue in S4, but after i saw the Heroic Talents for Rogue, im so disappointed. And now this rework... welcome back BDK in TWW ❤❤❤ Very nice rework
Im waiting for the day when they re-do the horribly dated visuals for bone shield haha. It doesnt look that cool to have blurry femors spinning around you like a ps1 game. I thought the bone armor necromancers had in d3 looked great. I wish they'd do something like that! Or just literally give dks a boneshield to hold in their offhand and they 1h a 2h.

If you crit the heal from DS you can actually get (currently) up to 3m shields with a full mastery/crit spec, it's broken as hell especially with the Vamp Blood shield too
The talent trees for DPS are just a matter of choosing between single target or aoe dps.. hero talents are just more passive modifiers that force you into a class theme in the case of blood elf phoenix fire mages for example. What if you’re a gnome fire mage? Feels off. They should have gone back and fixed all the cumbersome class mechanics, improving what they already have instead of adding even MORE complications. 😴

Ossified Vitriol its so bad talent, Nobody cares about marrowend dmg (now in logs it is 1% dmg overall). Instead of removing of pointless talents like relish in blood, leeching strikes,blood tap, blood feast they add one more stupid talent and keeps blocking from real talents like you want (rapid decomposition, sanguine grounds,). Also nobody will run with blooddrinker or consumption it still very very weak and sacrifise cheat death its not worth it

The changes they have made are a start at making Blood viable for M+, but are nowhere near close to being done in order for the spec to be able to compete with the better tanks specs. Agree 100%. Rework should be things like: warlock changws after mop, survival becoming a melee spec, and DK no longer having 3 types of runes

Well I dunno, the entire tree has been moved around and reworked. The core is still there, cuz it always be, but the tree is essentially brand new

You should keep an eye on BDK's runic power and not HP. Low HP and high RP = don't worry. Low HP AND low RP = give him some love ;)
