Adam, thanks for the video. I've just installed the OC200 successful after watching your video. I was trying to migrate to controller via omada web login, and not locally. Thanks again.
Hey, Adam! You explain and walk through this so easily. Thanks for the video. I've been wanting to move my omada software controller from my HP that was on the floor of my rack up to a rack mounted box that runs my blueiris software and now omada!
TPlink support told me to not use Migration (unstable), but use Backup and Restore instead. I see, you also need to use Restore with the .cfg file. When I did Restore from my Backup .cfg file, everything was there in 1 go, no need to select devices. So the Migration tool looks only useful if you like to select devices while migrating.
The OC200 is a pain. Similar yet different UI from the ER605. But the worst is you are then locked out of accessing the 605 directly. It gets worse. To „unbind“ a router it needs to be factory reset!!!!
For some reason it says I'm trying to migrate from a newer version, and for some reason the Windows software controller is a newer version then the OC200 can get :/ stupid!
Great video! Can you say more about why you bought a dedicated controller? I'm planning to run it in docker and would love to know the issues you faced
I was running docker on my laptop and was noticing negative effects when the controller was down like WAPs that would top broadcasting. I felt that a dedicated piece of hardware for this core functionality made sense.
It's running in a docker container. So, install docker, then in stall and run the image here: hub.docker.com/r/mbentley/omada-controller Then you can visit localhost:8088 and you'll see your controller running and ready for you to configure.
@@RunEthernet hi i have run the image from the site. however when I use safari for localhost:8088 its not loading. when running the image do i have change some settings
Just moved my Pi3B Controller to an OC200. Smooth as glass thanks to your guide. Much appreciated!!!💯
I was stumped as to why the devices were disconnected and the migrate devices fix it. Huge thanks!

Glad it helped.
Very helpful. Discovered that the Omada software uses log4j while walking through this, and am now frantically patching servers.
Yes, it seems the Omada team has been working on a fix. Hopefully the OC200 can be fixed soon.
A fix for both is out, 5.029 I think. Spent Christmas Eve patching servers and questioning my career choices.

Thanks for the added details. I’m glad I’ll only need to do this one time.

Hi how did you download the software controller for mac
