Wow, what an amazing video. Who would have thought that such different beliefs like that would exist in Tibet. Thank you Honglin, for telling, and showing, us this wonderful story, and in such a beautiful way.

Would love to join your discord or patreon if you have one set up. And whoever edits the video really have a fine taste in music. Is there any chance you could also create a playlist of all the music you used in your videos? Keep up the good work!

This is really a magical place. The Tibetans have been baptized by Buddhism for generations, but how can they accept Catholicism in such a place? The story I heard is that one year there was an epidemic in the area, and the missionaries saved many lives, which moved the locals, so many people converted to Catholicism. In addition, the missionaries brought many planting techniques, and planting grapes and producing wine was the gospel that the missionaries brought to the locals. Regardless of the purpose of the missionaries coming to China at that time, they did bring new medical and agricultural technologies to China at that time, and helped many people in the war.

This is in Deqen prefecture, home of Gyalthang and some other Tibetan people who call themselves Khampa now. They speak a completely different dialect that’s unintelligible to Tibetan speakers. Find a newly arrived Gyalthangpa in exile, and ask about their local dialect and you’ll see. Although young people there dress in typical Eastern Tibet clothes, in actuality the women there traditionally wore trousers as you see in this video. They are probably Naxi people who were Tibetanised about 3-4 centuries ago with the expansion of Gadhen Phodrang. There’s a large Gelug monastery in Shangri-la a major tourist town from there that you can easily search on TH-cam.

Yes, not all history is glorious, but it is still history and we must learn from it, as Honglin's young guide friend clearly has.

Yes, they went with cross in their hands and with greedy in their hearts.
      Here is Christ's question,
Mathew 15: 3: "But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?"
Malachi 2: 1-4: "And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith Jehovah of hosts, then will I send the curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings; yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. Behold, I will rebuke your seed, and will spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your feasts; and ye shall be taken away with it. And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant may be with Levi, saith Jehovah of hosts." (ASV)
A women say "the Husband has no name". Another ones say "the Husband has many names". Some of women "love the Husband in all his manifestations" like: neighbour, taxi driver, coworker, and so forth. Some women in a Husband-fearing way call him "H-D"...
But, all of those prostitutes say "the Husband is the only". Their prostitution has created another women saying "there is no Husband at all".
Then they even talk about "trinity of the Husband" and they are not against "the Son taking the Husband's place".
In the same way religious prostitutes try to hide their disgusting fornication with different gods.
Furthermore, a correct pronunciation of the Name is unknown now. This is the “loyalty” of traitors!
Here is the God's word spoken through Moses,
Deuteronomy 11: 16-17: "Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; And then the LORD's wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you."
So, the God says there are other gods, but blind leaders of blind lead people into trap.
"Jesus" means "Jehovah is salvation". This is the name of Christ real christians are hated for.
      "HalleluJah" means "Praze Jah" (Jehovah).
Psalm 83: 18: "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth."
The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why liers feel so good while righteous people are persecuted.
That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. He has anointed the king, Jesus Christ. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our beloved ones again! :-)

Eeryone has got different belief. This is perfect.
But when a person converts from the religion practised by his parents, grand parents, ancestors, et al., to a FOREIGN religion which requires him/her to learn the foreign language, it just means that he/she is telling that his/her parents, grand parents, ancestors, et al are stupid.
The requirement to learn a foreign language (mainly to learn about people or so called saints who lived in an alien country, in an alien culture) proves that the new religion is alien to the native people.
    This applies to all proselytism!

      This is the God's word,
Jeremiah 16: 19-21: "O Jehovah, my strength, and my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, unto thee shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Our fathers have inherited nought but lies, even vanity and things wherein there is no profit. Shall a man make unto himself gods, which yet are no gods? Therefore, behold, I will cause them to know, this once will I cause them to know my hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is Jehovah." (ASV)
Zechariah 1: 1-6: "In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of Jehovah unto Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying, Jehovah was sore displeased with your fathers. Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Return unto me, saith Jehovah of hosts, and I will return unto you, saith Jehovah of hosts. Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets cried, saying, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, Return ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith Jehovah. Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever? But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not overtake your fathers? and they turned and said, Like as Jehovah of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us."
      What is the problem?
Romans 5: 12: "Therefore, as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin; and so death passed unto all men, for that all sinned: -" (ASV)
The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why liers and murderers feel good while righteous persons are persecuted. This is the reason why Hitler got the power, but Christ was executed as "blasphemer" and "rioter" by denunciation of clergy. This is the reason why the whole world is Sodom.
That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our loved ones again! :-)

Buddhism is from Nepal/India, ancient Chinese could no read Sanskrit, Ancient Chinese need to cross the desert to got India to learn, many have died on the journey, a much more effort as compared to going to local missionary school with modern education, with a plus, access to modern medicine. China has not religion to speak of, Are you saying Chinese are stupid?
