Absolutely another amazing video! Your channel is my new favorite next to the channel Little Chinese Everywhere. I love your poetic sensibility and your b-roll footage is moving. Chinese mysticism is so deep that most foreigners never even try to understand it.

Hey! As a Indian noticed two cool things you mentioned that are related to India. Sanskrit and Buddhism both trace back to India. Also, Yama, Hindu god of death and justice, responsible for the give punishment of sinners in hell.(In Hinduism).

I agree with everyone's comments about this video - just so well put together and narrated! It was wonderful to relive my visits to Fengdu and being reminded of all the different aspects of the temple complex I had forgotten. I don't recall the cable car when I visited in 2012 and 2014, there were just the stairs and a very high escalator that wasn't working either time!

Your videos are absolutely great and stunning. I also like the philosophical touch in it. Just one request: We elderly people (69) hear a little worse than young people. The music is, related to the speaking, too loud. It would be so nice to have the real beautiful background music somewhat more muted. But please, don't worry about my asking. It is no critics at all. I always like your videos very much and look forward to the next ones.

woahhh again this is so similar to Indian mythologies here in India, people believe that the god of death is "Yamraj", and he sends his angels on earth to take away the souls of dead people and then their judgment is given according to how bad or how good they are in their living days ... i never thought world is so small people and countries can be different but their beliefs and way of living is much similar .. keep up the good work i am loving these videos

If you really study the Buddha’s teachings, you’d understood that karma is real. The reason why you’re beautiful and intelligent is because you were a happy (not jealous and not small minded) and intelligent person from previous life ( without committing really bad karma). Happy person will be beautiful person. Generous person (helping all religious person and poor people) will be wealthy. Religious people are people who are truly striving to be good, stop all evil deed. Many super intelligent people were rebirths super intelligent people too. Recalling your past will happen when you quiet your mind down thru the Buddha’s teachings. Yoga might do the same, except you’d never gotten the benefits of enlightenment. Enlightenment means, one no longer suffered pains of birth, old age, sickness, death and ended all bad karma. I hope these info might answer some of your questions. Excellent video. Thanks for sharing.

In East Asian and Buddhist mythology, Yama is the King of Hell and a dharmapala (wrathful god) said to judge the dead and preside over the Narakas and the cycle of saṃsāra. Although based on the god Yama of the Hindu Vedas, the Buddhist Yama has spread and developed different myths and different functions from the Hindu deity. He has also spread far more widely and is known in most countries where Buddhism is practiced, including China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Bhutan, Mongolia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos.
