I've just completed my viewing of the current set of 5 episodes on the Omega Speedmaster - I have to say it's been an absolute pleasure to learn (so much more) about the history and rare issues surrounding this watch from a collector with such an unbridled passion for the series - the vocabulary used to describe the condition and key features of each watch perfectly blended personal enthusiasm with clearly understandable reference points and identification markers for each distinct set of Speemaster releases - the information supplied will be invaluable when I look to add further purchases to my Omega collection and will remain a reference point for me on the subject - thank you for taking the time and effort to post these William, they're very much appreciated.
Very interesting! I love that orange hand design, too. I first saw it on the Omega Dynamic and later on a Seamaster reverse Panda. Neon orange. During a service Omega replaced a non-original straight chrono hand that someone had painted with nail varnish. They must have still had one. In the meantime I have heard that hands of very popular watches might become available again, a bit like the strap for the Dynamic.
I have watched all your videos and this is my favourite, the Moon to Mars is to distinguishable, I love it, thankyou William so much for sharing these.
Hello William , For a new video on the channel, will it be possible to talk about how to keep/preserve the Speedmaster? for example: - what is the best way to keep our Speedmaster (inside the box, hidden from the sun, in a ventilated place); - sticker / cover to protect the box, does it damage the watch back case? - how should we clean the speedmaster (box, bezel, bracelet)? - to prevent humidity inside, it will be better to have a "silica bag" close the speedmaster Congratulations on the channel, Continued with the good work on the channel
William, LOVE the content! I have a DON pre mooney, and I want to have more! I have a "collection" problem! I own mostly classic constellations and America's cup watches, but being almost 62, I admired Speedies growing up, well, coveted them actually! My late father gave each of his 3 sons the Omega of their choice for college graduation. I still have mine, and his 67 or so connie day date. Any way, THANK YOU fro Florida!
I got the moon to mars and I love it!!!!! Mine is just normal steel and pristine but i agree with you there. You can do with your possessions whatever you please. I love customizing a lot too. Yours looks amazing too the way it is!!!!
hello great collection, I also have a 69 speedy, in perfect condition, I'm the second owner I bring it for a servicing in Geneva directly to omega. the only problem of my watch is the bottom is a little twisted so it is not really water resistant. I have some other also limited edition but they are not vintage. I really enjoy them.
I wonder, was the white gold one the one you wore on the Revolution interview with Wei ? You both spoke about everything except the watch on your wrist in that interview ! Great video, keep them coming sir. Absolutely fascinating. Best wishes to you.
hello, might be stupid to say but it looks like your speedy with orange minute hand has a special bezel. It is written 220 instead of 200 on the tachymeter, some people call this particular printing error on the bezel a "missprint bezel". Anyway great video
My area of knowledge peters out after 1978, and thats where the references you ask about were made. Sorry! Unlike many YT's out there I cant make a video about something I know only a little.
Great video as usual, had a look on Ch24 to see prices of the Moon to Mars and would you believe there is a PVD version for sale. Oh and found Undone watches and couldn't resist buying the Chronograph Killy
Thats great to hear. I actually like some of his watches and own two. I am not a fan of the cartoon watches, but he is definitely maturing, and the vintage homages are great fun for the money.
"Terrible" is not to enjoy your watches as you will. I personally had a blast with this video. Your watches are terrific (that pvd is totally progressive and copied now by Omega themselves) and that orange hand? "No its not an Ultraman..." I can so much correlate! that really made me laugh. I dont know what I enjoy more... the Speedies or your sense of humour.

Thank you! Just published another...
You are so correct William. If you like a watch then do as you please with it. As long as it makes you happy.
Indeed!

Another great video. How about a video on the top 3 best value for money vintage speedmasters?
Hi James! Good suggestion. I will have a think!
Hello William ,
For a new video on the channel, will it be possible to talk about how to keep/preserve the Speedmaster?
for example:
- what is the best way to keep our Speedmaster (inside the box, hidden from the sun, in a ventilated place);
- sticker / cover to protect the box, does it damage the watch back case?
- how should we clean the speedmaster (box, bezel, bracelet)?
- to prevent humidity inside, it will be better to have a "silica bag" close the speedmaster
Congratulations on the channel,
Continued with the good work on the channel
Thank you I will have a look at that

@@Speedmaster101 Will you be selling any more soon? Thank you.
A great lesson to buy what you like and like what you buy. Thanks for the reminder. (Now I have to wait for another video. Bummer.)
Coming soon...this one was really a practice run for my newly learned editing skills.
The almost Ultraman looks rather good 👍

More of this would be excellent; going through the 'off the beaten track' watches, how you acquired them, and what they are like to own...
Great Idea - I will have a look in the box...
Great content. Would love for you to do a deep dive on the various types of bezels on Speedies over the years. Thanks mate, keep it up!
Noted!

Good old Watchco.

Yes it was!
A lovely watch but as I mention quite hard to tell the actual time sometimes!

Indeed it does, its a 220 bezel
Great video! Can you do anything on versions with open case back, 3592, 3572.... And what to look for when buying a used watch? Thanks on beforehand!

@@Speedmaster101 thx for your answer. Keep up the good work! 👍🏿🙂

素晴らしい!
ウルトラマン(ULTRAMAN)
松本零士(Leiji Matsumoto)
イタリア限定?(Italy?)
First watch looks better than an UltraMan...
I think I agree but there are many out there with $$$ ready to buy the real thing.
Do you collect nothing but Speedmaster’s? And what’s your opinion on the 1861 Speedmaster?
My collection is focused on pre 1978 speedmasters, and so I do not follow the late models so closely.
