  • In this skill builder we will recreate a symbol seen a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...
Today we're going to pretend that the trace feature doesn't exist or isn't as good as it is and we're going to draw out this symbol by hand using LightBurn. We'll apply the circle array tool along with some primative shapes, lines and node editing to recreate this symbol. We'll also touch on a few other UI basicis like ctrl, shift, alt modifiers, mirroring across a line, boolean operations and more.

Wow - I watched yesterday and kept missing something (a node and my attention span). Watched today and was able to replicate. I went with the first wedge node/auto-join, much more accurate and simpler for me. Thank you.

Thanks! I did not know of the auto join segments feature. I’ll be using that.

So many handy snippets of information in this single tutorial. I never knew about ctrl mirroring the selection. I have failed so many time to use the circle array and now understand where I was going wrong. In my head I thought that you had to put in co-ordinates of where the array centre was but you can simply draw an object, select both and centre around, seems logical when you are shown it. Thanks for the tutorial, subscribed now and will go through your past videos and I love the pace and style of these tutorials.

I'm sorry, could you please elaborate on your question? I used mirror across line in the video. Are you saying this is not working for you or are you asking something else?
