Design
The Hunter 350 gets a modern yet retro design with minimalism being the key focus. It gets a round headlamp in the front which uses halogen bulbs instead of LED units or even LED DRLs. Royal Enfield says that the halogen bulbs are suited more to rains and also that having a traditional setup helps in keeping in touch with the brand’s heritage by keeping it simple. The large fuel tank gets a subtle indent on the sides to accommodate the rider’s legs lending to a comfortable riding position. Every body panel on the Hunter 350 is new when compared to its siblings except the 350cc engine. The Hunter 350 makes generous use of plastic parts such as the mudguard and rear grab handle to keep the weight in check. The upswept exhaust pipe is short and stubby to maintain a good center of gravity. The taillights and rear turn indicators are LED units. The seat is a single-piece unit and has been designed with optimal comfort in mind.
Features
The Hunter 350 gets features like LED taillights and turn indicators, an analogue speedometer with an LCD display which shows information such as odometer, gear position indicator, service indicator, low-fuel trip meter, and time display, and eco indicator. It also gets an integrated USB port below the switch console. Royal Enfield is offering a Tripper Navigation pod as an accessory as well.
Powertrain
The Hunter 350 uses the familiar single cylinder oil-cooled 349cc motor that produces 20.2 bhp @6100 rpms and 27 nm of torque @4000 rpms. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Royal Enfield has tweaked the ignition timing and fueling in the Hunter 350 to make it feel more lively and responsive when compared to other Royal Enfield bikes with the same engine. The Hunter 350 is 0.2 seconds quicker to 100 km/h from a standstill when compared to the classic 350.
